All of the Animals by Jane St Clair

I like Jane St Clair. And she writes X Men slash. And I would love to read it, except that the Marvel universe is large and complicated and significantly older than I am. So, I mainly stick to movieslash. Sad, really. Anyway, Logan and Scott (and Jean, sort of) are working out some issues.

Inclination by Laura Jacquez Valentine

This is the story of a Vulcan guide and a Human Sentinel in the Trek universe. I don't know that I particularly recognize these characters as Jim Ellison and Blair Sandburg. It's more a question of taking Blair's background as a human and giving it meaning in a Vulcan context. It's an intriguing, handsome answer she gives us.

My Mother's House by Lemon Drop

This is a little sweet and a little sad. The structure has a nice rhythm to it, as well as some beautiful imagery. Another gem from Lemon Drop.

Junk Novels by Punk and Sabine

Danny is thoroughly entranced by a non-sensical dirty book. Casey's a little bit drunk, a little bit horny, and a lot bored. They take the airplane test.

Lies, damn lies, and agriculture by torch

This was written for the Little Black Dress Challenge, wherein Krycek is posited as the Crossover King (although I would have thought that Methos fit in anywhere better *shrug*). In any case, this is the way not to insert Krycek into West Wing. Except, it kind of works. Now, if you want to read about inserting Krycek into an unlikely fandom in a way that makes, well, sense, try Amirin's Practice on for size.

Objectives by Lady of Shallot

This Stargate story has a plot you've seen ten million times on Star Trek: we can only appease the aliens by having sex. And yet, and yet... LoS makes it fresh, funny, and appealing by making the characters themselves. via Anna

Sweetcheeks IX: Masks by Debra Fran Baker

Most of the Sweetcheeks series is funny and gay-ly fabulous, but this one is more serious, and has to do with image and desire in a fairly complicated way. And there is no neat 12th hour solution. We just have to wait for Sweetcheeks X.

deren Gesichter sehen ihm aehnlich by Basingstoke

This is a dueSouth story which places Fraser and Kowalski in an X-Files context. It's simultaneously sad and hopeful, and it's quite pretty.

Wesley Rogue Demon by The Mad Poetess and James Walkswithwind

These two make magic when they write stories together about any of the characters from Angel: The Series. I don't know why they don't grab me so when they write about Buffy characters, or write alone. But this story is a stunning example of their craft and their imagination. What if Wesley wasn't who he claimed to be? How would The Scooby Gang, L.A. Division, help him become whoever he is?

A Garden of Wallflowers by Legion

This solemn little Jim/Blair really affected me because I understand exactly how Jim feels.

And They Dance by James Walkswithwind

This pretty, touching little piece is a different sort of death story. And not just because it's Wesley/Angel, and Angel is already sort of dead.

Domestic Piranhas 8.5: Lost in Translation by The Mad Poetess and James Walkswithwind

The series is Spike/Xander, but there's an Angel/Wesley/Gunn subplot. And any story which is tender and touching and sweet and where Spike serves as a relationship counselor deserves to be read.

Signal to Noise by Betty Plotnick

Jim watches Blair be Blair-like and struggles to find words to let Blair know he doesn't have to try so hard. I'm not sure Betty convinces me that Sandburg's motivation is fear, but her picture of Jim's thought processes is lovely.

Something Like by Sheila

Yet another Wesley/Gunn story wherein Gunn wants to mess up Wesley. But it's still good.

Bough by Sheila

Um. She re-wrote Untouched, the episode with Bethany the telekinetic runaway, from Bethany's POV. It's not slash, but it's extremely powerful
