I now have a DAM cd available! My release party consisted of me, a triple-shot of espresso and a understated "woohoo", cuddling with Teresa afterward; celebrating wears me out. Go to my mp3 page to purchase it. And please do purchase it - at seven dollars, how can you go wrong?

The latest musical project: Electrochakra. Two guitarists (Travis and Travis) doing FrippertroniKcy stuff over bass (me) and 4/4 drum loops on a Roland SP-808 (me). Sounds freakin' cool - we already have a gig. August 8th at Maggie's Park in Everett. I'm picturing a gig in Maggie's backyard, should be interesting. It's free.

I dream of things unmade and scheme of ways to make them while still being able to stay in my rented home without selling my soul to a desk with a chain to meet the deadline so we can make the next deadline we need to meet to get The Funding. My rented home has a very beautiful studio in it with all kinds of tools with which to make things. This beautiful studio is lonely most days and is bathed in electric light for only small parts of other days and I wish to change this.

Well, well, well. Not much to say lately. I'm unenthused, uninspired and undulating. It's been hot (for Seattle) the last few weeks and I realize I've become a weather wimp. It climbs above 70 farenheit and I start whining like a whining whiner. Went go cart racing last night with the team from work. You're thinking "toys" but these suckers go pretty fast --35 mph seems like a hundred when your ass is riding 2 inches off the ground and you are turning hairpins without the benefit of power steering. After three races worth of exhaust, I was about to get real sick... When I got home, I was walking like a cripple. My sweet, long-suffering Teresa asked how I was doing. "I hurt". But you had fun, she said, dismissing my complaint. "I really hurt". Oh, waah, she said. "I'm going to take a long hot bath". Let me get you a towel. "ungh". Screams as I took off my shirt and she saw the damage welt on my back. "unghh. do we have any epsom salts?" Highly recommended activity.

Pardon my frank language, but the internet seems to have exploded, seemingly overnight, spinning out into a multi-faceted mind-fuck. It's harder to ignore now than it has ever been and it will only continue to be amplified by its own self-referential, 4th-dimensional feedback-loop. Take a look at shockwave.com --as a tame example-- full-featured video games, from carefully re-crafted classics (Joust, Frogger) to brand-new offerings, which can be downloaded to walkman-ish "shock-machines"-- for free, of course (well, you're selling a bit of your awareness to ad space). As far as I can tell the debate is over: attention is the new commodity.

Contacts suck. For the last half hour, I've been walking around looking like a reject from the audition for Pirates of Penzance, all because a rogue contact decided that, right now, thank you, would be the best time to seek its revenge for the way I've treated it. Of course, I'm at work, and I sit near the entrance to the bathroom (there's a lot more I could say about that, and probably will-- later) so, natch, everyone who "has to go" has asked. I'm refining my story: "the db admin was pissed off because I added a column to a table without indexing it". Or, "well, I just got my bonus for being here a month; a poke in the eye with a sharp stick". Or, "I was photographing some scissors and got a little to close to my subject"....

I need to find a lot of online storage... cheap! I've got over 8 CDs of pictures and 10 times as many recordings that I'd like to turn loose on the world, but I've only got a measly 35 megs and it cost's me 8.95 a month. I'm sure there's a better way if any of you --you know who you are: slothful nogoodniks with time veritably dripping from your idle hands-- if you know the way, drop a line.

Recorded a new song this weekend, called "Celebrate, Girl". Rockin' pop-format ditty. I'll try to post it today

Bag this creative artistic stuff, I'm going to train to become an Episcopaleontologist...
