so mid blizzard, the power here at the homestead goes clean out. then, out come the candles, the matches, the flashlights, the blankets, and the books. mostly comics given to me by a friend for christmas. if you read comics, you know that 4 issues of one book in non-sequential order are more boring than three issues of a Valiant comic in any order. so after searching in vain for about 2 hours for candles and playing a few standards on the git-fiddle. i decided to hit the sack. so i piled on a bundle of blue blankets, and blew out the candles. have you ever slept in your own home with no power, or tried to? its funny the things you hear in a house you've lived in when the TV is off, the modem stops humming and the stereo is silent. should the hot water heater be making noises? if it can make noises, then why can't the heater be making noises? noises that somehow cause heat to drift through the house. but after you have convinced your self that these heat-less noises are merely ghosts of your stereo which would otherwise be on, after you have convinced you self that the combination of all colors is black and the color bars have simply bled together, the very instant that you know you've heard the dialtone and thereafter the connection of computer to server, the lights come back on and wake you up from your pre-sleep daze leaving you no choice but to get up and type away all night to the red house painters and regis philben. what a lame blizzard.
so this is the blizzard of 2000? how lame. no walking to taco bell in the ice, no counselor bakke, and collin(to my knowledge) has knocked no one out! l-a-m-e
ok everyone, in case you haven't read jason's page in a few days, our show on the 6th will indeed be his last. he has just been distant and not had enough time to move forward as quicklly as the rest of us desire to. this has saddened us a great deal, and yet we must move on, so i have put in calls to a few drummers around town i know to see about starting in on the position. everyone come out to our last show with jason at TNT in bryant and help us see him off!
from this day forward, all caulfield's aside songs will be blatent U2 rip-offs. thank you.
take the word BLAINE and mix it all around, what do you get? NIBALE.
dear friends, let not matt's recent web-log lead your minds astray. i demand a recount for the office of Matt's Dog.
hi collin. how are things going?
