im: trajecting | yahoo: trajecting | send a message | (doesn't really work)

i can't get the image out of my head of people jumping to their deaths, much less try to imagine the frame of mind of those on the planes or in the buildings - except that's where it keeps going.

i also feel like i can't maintain the semblance of ordinary daily life...because so many others will not be able to.

one more thing. i was always really pissed (heh, okay, i'll admit it...finally. if a certain person reads this, they'd better not be gloating) that i never got into this "elite" choir group in high school called madrigals. they sang well, madrigals...my favorite choral music. actually, in case i come off as sounding sillily overconfident, i actually forget what madrigals exactly are. but i like sehr old school chamber type a capella minor mixology chord madness, like fun bach stuff. anyway, some of sarah slean's songs - especially awake soon, give me that same chill.

or...i could always use moveabletype, which sounds pretty much like what i want. a "micro content management system," heh. but who knows...i might as well try. i mean, i've got lots of time now... (oh, via megnut)

check out the new lamb song gabriel cause i like it. not sure about the attachment of a name (i like using the word you...it's genderless :), but still...the new album should be out soon, yay!!!! and andy is still techno geeky cute. ah, my heart flutters...

woah, so i had a dream last night that they were doing a tribute to mr. rogers whom i grew up with and bono (uh, u2) was one of the people impersonating him. (he was actually the worst mr. rogers :) and then my sister and i and friends from high school (like kate! and rachel!) were assigned to sit at his table. so fran, of course the social one, starts a conversation with him, and i'm sort of pseudo jealous but it's okay, cause i get over it and start talking. and then eventually there's a fire drill, and bono is whisked away as the lights go down...but he motions for us to follow him....and we end up as his back up singers, cause it was all a ruse to get him on stage. werd.

okay, i haven't posted in the last month. this is what's been happening...

i passed my two cs classes - i took cs206 with prof. steiger, who i think is now teaching at uc berkeley. he was very cool, but i am not very cool when interacting with cool people so he thinks i am uncool. but that's okay because he's now teaching at uc berkeley :) anyway, i got "the second highest grade" on the midterm, but then absolutely bombed the final, so i ended up with a b in the class. i did really badly because i was so burnt from doing the project and studying so much for cs352. but that's okay...still decent, i guess.

so, i loved cs352 if not for chak. i have some issues with chak that i will tell the world. i think he's very intelligent and he's not even that bad at lecturing, but...the way he runs his class leads to organized cheating and unfair advantages and if you wanted, you wouldn't have to know the material to pass the class. this i dislike. if he had better administrative control of the class, i would love the prof. anyway, now that i've gotten that out of my system...so...i ended up with a b+ in the class. why not an a you ask? well...when i turned in my second project, which i slept over in the computer lab two nights for and bonded with my cool cs buddies :) over, i forgot to include my secondary classes, which are necessary to get it to compile. so i lost 10 potential points (and i'm assuming i'd get them all, cause the project worked). and the range for a b+ is so tiny...that i must be able to get an A with that. so...i'm still working on getting my TA to change my grade, but so far, no luck.

so, then i went to california for a wedding which was beautiful and i actually cried. mostly because they used the taming quote from the little prince, which is absolutely gorgeous and always makes me cry. but i've also become more outwardly emotional...sort of. then again, i cry at a drop of a hat during movies...but crying during real life is a new thing for me.

and then i hung out with my very cool uncle and aunt and tasted wines and walked around san francisco and saw the haight and saw the multitude of really yummy healthy looking food places. or maybe i haven't been to new york recently. but it all looked really yummy. lots of easily identifiable sushi and thai places that were somewhat cheap. new york is really too expensive :(

i also watched lots of movies - billy elliot and gladiator to name two. i haven't really been much of a movie watcher, but my uncle has a netflix membership, which is really sweet. maybe i'm just really cheap and lazy...and i like unlimited prepaid stuff, like digital cameras... so, i need a dvd player...lots of movies i want to watch :)

um...if someone lets you borrow their dustbuster, i believe it is courtesy to empty it before returning it. really.

wow, it's been awhile. i've been hanging out in san francisco. i don't really have many pictures or anything, but it was fun. i like the city.

one thing though...the fog. makes it really depressing really fast if you're affected by stuff like that.

i can't actually remember if i watched r.e.m. unplugged the first time - i've always been a non-conformist and even though r.e.m. is one awesome band (or they wrote their best music around the time they were popular), i don't think i was a fan yet. (though i did tape it later, with mike mills on "love is all around!") in any case, r.e.m. unplugged version two was disheartening kind of...south central rain was so cheesy soft rock loungey and then mike mills decided he needed to be *rockstar* instead of this cute, kind of dorky, but there's that irresistable something beneath all of that type (hey, that's my type!)...but they played cuyohoga! and actually, they all turned rockstar...at least publicly. and i liked stipe's skirt over jeans look :)

production notes
this is the lofi design. someday i'll implement templates, but for now, netscape users only get the lofi version because i am too lazy to do anything else...sorry.
