Oh my, Microsoft finally released a multiplayer patch for MM.

Go here to read the details and download.
For your convenience, we mirror the file here.

You'll get better BW if you're situated near Denmark @ our mirror. Remember that rumor has it that the patch disables the nocd-crack. So I guess you'll have to have that cd in the drive while playing. No more Cd Audio while driving ;(

Sunday, October 24, 1999

Well, didn't get much playing done on zone.com tonite. Again, zone turned into twilight-zone ;) - logging me off and doing strange things..

A little warning to you all;

Earlier tonight, one of my friends got infected with the PrettyPark.Worm virus. This is a virus that infects your Windows 95/98 and snatches your Internet address book from your Outlook mail client (if you use that). Then it forwards itself to all the addresses in the address book as an email with the attached PrettyPark.exe file. Guess you can see where this all can end up ;)

A little work and the virus was off my system - hope it didn't have time to spread itself to most of my addresses ;(

Then; I spent an hour on the phone with my friend - and together, we got his system cleaned too.

For more information on the virus and how to get rid of it, go see http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/prettypark.worm.html.

It doesn't really destroy your system, but it sure can put pressure on mailservers ;)

A friendly piece of advice; GO GET an ANTIVIRUS Proggy if you haven't got one already.

Goodnight (*yawn* - *cough*)
