the story tellers

This photo of Kevin, me, Jessica, Alison, Dave, and Mark was taken outside of Ruta Maya on 4th Street after we all calmed down enough after telling our stories. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did last night. Fray Day 5 in Austin turned really well, thanks to everyone who was brave enough to get up on stage, and especially thanks to Michael and Amanda, who put so much time and energy and love into making it such a smashing success.

Here are some more photos:

workin' the crowd

This is Jeff workin' the crowd. Now we just gotta get him to work his website.

captive audience

This is Sara and Kevin. They are pretending that I'm not taking their picture.

more of da gang

Mark, Leia, Julie, Jessica, and K-Dog politely posing while I continue to blind them with the camera flash. Can you tell I'm getting a kick out of my digital camera?

telling stories

The ridiculous behavior began last night, and I'm sure it will continue through the weekend. From left to right: Jessica, Billy, Alison, Jeff, and Kevin. We started out at the Empanada Parlour, listening to reggae and being silly.

da goils

And there's me with Alison and Jessica. This was taken during Phase II of the festivities at the Ivory Cat on 6th Street. Yes. A piano bar. Yes. It's a long story. In any case, it was fun getting to know everyone.

Don't forget to stop by Ruta Maya tonight! The fun starts at 7 p.m.
