Well well well! It's been quite a few days since I've blogged..I know this not only by the date on my last entry, but also from my teeming groups of fans who have been sending me loads of emails asking what happened to me! Actually, that's not true..It was really only Richard who cornered me at the pool and reminded me that "Blogging isn't just a passing fad, it's a way of life." So, I figured maybe I should get back to it so as to keep my big fanbase of 1 happy. Are any of my friends from back home reading this? I don't know! Is my webcam just a passing fancy? Who can say?

Thankfully, this week has gone much smoother than last week. I opened a bank account on Monday and had a fantabulous 4th of July BBQ and gathering here at my place. I've also managed to get myself involved with a great group called Madame Palmetto's Amusement Co. They have just recently opened a new theatre space called The Rooster. What luck! I've always wanted to start with a cool theatre group from the ground up and now I have my chance! I will be holding my Birthday Party there (My birthday, which I share with my beloved Richard, also with crazy Rock and Roll Fag Don Baird from SF and my original Birthday Buddy, Ron (also in SF)) and premiering what I hope will be the first of an on going once a month Performance Salon. Other great theatre news includes: I now have definite dates for MY FIRST SHOW IN NEW ORLEANS! Every Friday and Saturday in October! WOO! PARTY! Or should I say..PAR-TAY.

I nearly forgot to mention the interesting fetish party which I attended at the Audobon Hotel. Richard, Jonno and I hosted the Dog Kennel Room. And guess who was the dog?, That's right, your very own DJDogboy. It was quite fun and I met lots of people and got fed lots of treats and recieved many pats on the head. You can see pictures on Jonno's site...

All in all it's turned out to be a pretty crappy week... my Dj equipment finally arrived. I open it all only to find that the dual CD mixer doesn't work...BOTH cd players are broken. So I call and get bounced around from person to person while they try and tell me It'll be 2 weeks before a new one gets to me...what the hell is that all about? On top of that, I came home last night after a lovely day of shopping and going to the New Orleans Zoo (which I highly recomend to anyone) to find that for some reason My profile including all my bookmarks, etc have dissapeared. Now I had amassed quite a list of Bookmarks over the last few years, some of them I don't even know if I'd be able to find again.. Then there's the cat situation...One of my cats has decided that peeing everywhere (the new couch, my 5 cd changer, my clothes, etc..) would be a really great thing to do.. every day i find MORE places...does anyone have any suggestions about this? If so, I'd LOVE to hear them.
On the upside though, and so this doesn't turn into a totally depressing entry, I got my tickets to see Dolly Parton LIVE in Dollywood! I've got 8 friends coming from SF and we're gonna rent a cabin and go see Dolly. I love Dolly and have ever since I was a pre-teen. I used to watch her Live In London concert obsessively when we first got cable back in the 80's. I even went so far as to hold a tape recorder up to the TV and cassette record the whole thing for later listening. Other childhood obsessions included, the opening sequence of the Dukes of Hazzard (where they show the guys digging a ditch with no shirts on!) Lance Kerwin, A Wrinkle in Time (The record of which I borrowed permanantly from the library and listened to until it wouldn't play any more) and The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe.
Whille I'm on the subject of pop culture...I bought the greatest I Dream Of Jeannie salt and pepper shakers yesterday....

Well all I can say is thank god yesterday is over. I won't go into a long detailed account, but let's just say it was one of those days of multiple petty annoyances. Enough so that by the time i had my guests over last nite, i was in a FOUL mood. I felt terrible, but as per usual, Jonno and Richard brought me back to reality. Thank god for them... Jonno also got on my case to stop apologising for stuff all the time, like how crappy my site looks, being in a bad mood, etc. But you know how it can be living in a new place, you wanna get along with everyone and blah, blah, blah! So here's the new un-apolagetic me! So deal with it! (I'm sorry, did that sound bitchy) HA HA!

Well.....I've just been taking a tour of different websites my buddy Jonno has linked to his site. Boy do I feel low....All these cute gay boys with their cuter sites and interesting blogs made me just want to pack up and call it a day. This site seems awfully sorry in comparison. Which is kind of sad really, considering I used to have a heavily trafficked, hip and visually cool website a few years ago. Just with all that's going on in my life lately, I've barely had time to Blog much less design a hip site. So once again I apologise for the crap-assedness of this site for the moment...I swear I'll be cool soon.....

Wow, I guess it's been a while... well, the last 4 days have been insane. So, Friday, my Dad shows up in town with my stepmom , aunt and uncle, and two folks I've never met before and want to be taken around everywhere. YIKES!! It turned out not to be so bad actually, although, the phone rings now and it's dad..they want to go see one of the cewmetaries today. Which is cool, I haven't really seen St. Louis 1 and 2 yet, so, I'm pretty psyched. Also, on Saturday, my friend Brad showed up from Philly and he's here for a week. I've got out-of-town guests coming out my ears!
So we're now off to Elizabeth's. I wish I had a link for them cuz they are SOOOO great. It's a little breakfast spot here in the Bywater. They serve you amazing amounts of really good food for a mere pittance. And the girl Heidi who runs the place is real nice and seems to know everyone. Actually most of the locals here know everyone!
Saturday night was a blast as it was my upstairs nieghbor/landlord/friend Shelley's birthday party! What a night! She chose a Kiddie party theme, and we had a delightful excursion to Toys-R-Us to buy party hats and plates and the like. I can never resist a trip to TRU so I went along and came back with a talking MOJO-JOJO. (If you've ever seen the Powerpuff Girls you'll know what I'm talking about) So I DJ'd the party, my first DJ gig in N.O.! I had a great time and everyone enjoyed the music and sven commented favoribly on it to me and our hosts! Hooray! I made a VERY SPECIAL cake that everyone enjoyed most heartily. Everyone felt suprisingly elevated after eating it, and a good time was had by all. The highlight of the evening was the breaking of the Pinata that was filled with candy, condoms, cigarettes and various and sundry other treats. The sight of 25 adults scrambling in the dark, smashing plants, all for some little plastic toys was pretty hilarious. Did I mention the party was in our fantastically huge back yard? YES! And Joe (Shelly's hubby) and his friend Kevin, set up a whole fountain back there before everyone showed up! I was amazed! Go straight guys, go straight guys! I love my straight guys! They surrounded the fountain with bricks, which I promised I would stuff moss into sometime this week. I figured I could do my gay part that way...

So, I went to see Dorian sing again and she was amazing as usual! If you're ever in New Orleans, make sure and check her out at The Seaport Bar on Bourbon Street. I know it sounds awfully touristy and it is right smack in the middle of it all. But, I tell you she's well worth the trip! Mon. - Fri. 5-7pm for Happy Hour. 2 for 1 beer and well drinks! I was restrained and had a coke along with my delicous steamed shrimp and raw oysters (25 cents a pop! a bargain!!)

So, I'm sitting around endlessly waiting for a friend to arrive at Chateau du Dogboy, and I decide to pop in Bust-A-Groove 2. That being a hilarious Playstation game that is Jonno, Dorian and my current obsession. This is a dancing game where you compete against other dancers. There is a 1 player mode where you dance against various characters and try to win like, 8 times in a row. If you get all the way through and beat Robo-Z Gold (a giant spacey warrior guy) you win the game and they give you all this useless info about the character.
So, I beat the game with Kitty-N who it turns out is some sort of 17 year old entertainer who is in love with her dance teacher. Alright, here's where it gets good. They explain that the teacher can never love her back because "He lacks the ability to love women". Then they show a heart broken Kitty-N holding a photograph which turns out to be of the dance teacher in a speedo with this giant black muscle guy who has his arm around him. I thought I would die I just sat there with my mouth hanging open...it was priceless

Well, i just can't seem to get anything done today. Probably on account of me going out and drinking too much last night. Not that i do that often...in fact i rarely drink, but as I was missing Trannyshack where I usually always DJ on Tuesdays I felt I needed to get out of the house. It was my second week not there and it's just starting to sink in that i won't be doing it anymore. Ah well... I had a good time though and met some nice folks! I ran into my friend Anthony while I was out and he and I walked about and talked about the lack of places for funky queer boys and girls to hang out. I must say that the two BIG gay bars in town have a very limited music selection, but i understand the bosses there put strict stipulations on what the DJ's can play...sucks to be them... So anyway, I wanna start some sort of alternative club here though I'll prolly wait till the fall when all the Tulane students and locals who left for the summer are back. So, just to move this along I bought a fabulous DJ setup online! I know, crazy! HEXACRAZY in fact!!! I am hopefully gonna be collaborating with my buddies Richard and Jonno. They are the best new buddys a transplanted DJDogboy could wish for. I mean poor Richard endured a 7 hour shopping trip for our new house stuff with nary a complaint...and Jonno...well Jonno is Jonno and that's why I love him! I think I'll go see Dorian sing tonite. I haven't seen her sing in a while and i'm feelin the need! She rocks!
