hehehe - i was just downloading and listening to a few of his songs from his french album and my mum is here saying she loves the sound of his voice! excellent! i plan to torture the rest of the family with mother approval forever now! :)
okay - explanation. computer - as usual - was being evil so dad called his freind up and they came up with the snazzy idea of buying another hard drive that they can pull out of the computer so we would have two of them and one would be dads and mums, the other mine. so that way if one of them dies at least people can still do stuff and also we shall have the ultimate test of who is killing the computer - i say its dad - he says its me....we will see my friends!!
but that means that what happens when i want to do stuff we shut down the computer - pull out dads hard disk and put in mine! so i have my own oerating system and i can have whatever programs, sounds, desktop wallpapers i bloody well like! WOO!
okay - i could have had all this if i bothered to buy my own computer, i know.......it's still exciting!
only problem is trying to get all the proggies i used to have again....grrrr!
oh - did i mention that untill we can try and fix it so we can at least access some of the stuff on the old hard drive i have lost all bookmarks, emails and email addresses. so sorry if you dont hear from me in a while.....
anyways - if anyone cares my current obsession is with original english cast recording of Notre dame de Paris. i cant stop playing it. and i have since become somewhat nterested in the guy who played Quasimodo - Garou. canadian males are all evil! i must stop getting crushes on them!

i think this pic is sooo cute!
you have to scroll quite a way down the page to reach this (and tomorrow it may have moved to another page) but i read this while i was at work yesterday:
Islamic community joins Anglican cathedral service
Darwin's Islamic community is joining in a memorial service in the city's Anglican cathedral for the victims of the terrorist attack in the United States. Police were called to Darwin's mosque last night after prayers were repeatedly disrupted by abuse hurled from passing cars.
and i just read this link from metafilter.
thanks australia - you make me so proud....
in other news megatokyo's current picture is about what happened tuesday.
anyways - i am gonna try and find positive things to post about after this because i am getting more and more depressed.
and this is the blog entry linked on the blogger front page right now with photos to go with it. i hope there were lots of people like this - who just started walking away from it well before the buildings collapsed.
also i know most other people have blogged these - but here are the links to the Amazon and Paypal Red Cross Relief fund donation pages.

just some different pictures to look at because if i see the pictures/film of the planes crashing into the buildings or the buildings collapsing one more time right now i am gonna start balling. most of yesterday at work i didnt have to see anything much apart from at morning tea when they had the tv on in the tea room and we all got to see President Bush's speech, but when i got home every station was airing stuff from America. i really hated it when they would show a series of pieces together - shots of the planes hitting the buildings, sounds of people screaming, shots of people jumping out of the buildings, shots of the first building collapsing, then the next - all one after the other....do they think the more they show it the quicker people will be desensitised to it? because it isnt FUCKING WORKING!!!!!!
most of Australia's free-to-air networks are broadcasting CNN's live coverage with a bit of Australian comentary thrown in. it's like back in '91 when America attacked Iraq - I remember it was 3 days of nothing but that on tv.
anyways. ever since i started watching the news broadcasts last night i cant get the thoughts out of my head of what it must have been like for the people on those planes, the people in the building - especially the first one that got hit who had no idea.
all my thoughts and best wishes go out to people affected by what has happened. i honestly cant think of anything else to say.
