Week of Silence •  (09/16/2001)
It's no surprised I'd feel a lack of things to say in light of recent events that seem to have engulfed our emotions, both good and bad. But one of the things I've been stressing over the last few days is the need to keep moving; keep life in motion, because if we don't, then we will surely meet failure.

Tuesday evening, my friends and I carried through with our plans as Matt, Russell, Geni, and Angela came over for the evening for a night of video game madness. Of course we did spend a BIT of time watching the news, in between having the apartment complex in which I live being evacuated as a result of a fire alarm being set off, and having Geni kick everyone's ass at Mario Kart. Everyone (except Angela) stayed the night, and it was a lot of fun to have my friends around me for that evening, otherwise I would have just sat watching the news in sadness. It was good to find a way to smile and laugh with loved ones, and we did just that -- all the way until the sun started to come up.

The following day, my comrades and I scoured a few record shops in search of a mighty treasure. While the treasure we found wasn't exactly mighty, it was still a treasure.

After they left to return to Salem, I was alone again. I spent the next couple of days glued to the television screen. What a mess. I don't feel like talking about it right now, because I've already said most of my peace, and I'd rather not discuss it on such an open level -- if you'd care to discuss it on an individual basis, feel free to catch me on AIM.

meg arrived in portland on friday. she lives here now. this is good. this is great.

that's all. there is work going on behind the scenes at sardonia.org. stay tuned.
