9.17.2001 down in manhattan:

it happened. it finally happened. the computer that has been giving me shit for months now has finally died. just dead. the hard drive is safe (complete with most of the rest of that last braid show i was working on) and will completely salvageable. it looks like either the mother board or processor went out.

but of course...now i'm back at ground zero. no computer. i feel like i've been blasted back to the stone age. i'll now have to build a whole new system, which could take a while.

if anyone has any spare computer parts they'd like to donate to "the cause" (also know as "rock"), drop me a line and let me know...

you know...and you should also go donate to a real cause.

9.12.2001 when the fallout comes he is fire:

cmj has been rescheduled. it still remains to be seen if myself or kilowatthours will be in attendence (or performing) next month or not. stay tuned for more details when we have them.

speaking of kilowatthours, ben is safe at home in brooklyn. all of the madness went down while he was in the shower. he watched the towers collapse from the roof of his apartment building.

the hearts and minds of everyone involved with transmission3000 go out to the beautiful people of new york city and washington dc.

9.2.2001 i never knew you could disappear:

mass amounts of rock were laid out in bloomington, last night. proof can be seen here and here.

mp3 of the day (weekend, week, year, whatever):
radiohead - true love waits
i didn't record it. who knows where it came from. it's live and it's an amazing unreleased song, and i keep listening to it like mad.

8.22.2001 que shiraz:

back from new york (actually, i've been back since sunday night, but who's keeping track?). we had a lot of fun out there, seeing radiohead and traipsing around manhattan like fools. a big thanks to ben for putting us up (check out that exclusive kilowatthours track!) and molly for hanging out.

radiohead was amazing, as you might imagine.

i was able to hear the new stuff that the kilowatthours recorded for their new record. it sounds great. it was nice to hear a studio version of the track we've had up for a few months now. be prepared for greatness.

i'll be laying low, over the weekend, just working on various things (like that braid show). i hope to throw some neat stuff up tonight, so keep your eyes peeled.

braid songs, thus far:

never will come for us
new nathan detroits
collect call from clark kent
and
circus of the stars

all from one of braid's last shows at the fireside, august 1999.

8.14.2001 slow as rapid city:

bipolar is back, so if you've been missing it, you can now catch up on all the nothing i've been up to.

i'm headed out of here for new york city, in the morning. i've got radiohead tickets calling my name, so i won't be working on any transmission3000 related business.

to hold you over, i'll drop a couple more braid tracks to keep you sated...

mp3s of the day (weekend, week, month, whatever):

braid -
never will come for us
and
new nathan detroits
recorded at the fireside in chicago in 1999 at one of braids last shows. these are the first two tracks from that set.

you can still grab collect call from clark kent and circus of the stars, as well.

8.10.2001 same old shit, just different day:

the hits keep rolling, around here...

i have put the older june of '44 show back into place. now the june of '44 page offers up both shows, for your downloading pleasure.

other than that, i'm still working on the braid show. hopefully that'ss be up soon, but until then, have another...

mp3 of the day:
braid - collect call from clark kent
fireside bowl - chicago, il - 8.99

8.9.2001 apart from being deaf and speechless:

to all concerned parties, the new server is now in place. we've upgraded the entire box, so expect full specs on the info page soon.

what this means: all of the old shows that were taken down for space restrictions will start popping back up soon, hopefully by this weekend.

www.x13design.com is now fully back online, with bipolar to follow sometime tonight. you can check the x:13 design homepage for the complete rundown on what exactly has been going on around these parts lately. it's a long, sordid tale, so be prepared.

so stretch out and enjoy your new surroundings. new tunes coming soon.

until then: circus of the stars
