twisted weblog Another member of the family who's back is Snickers. Just in time to see Blackberry's birthday go out with a bang...Parts of both of her legs are shaved from where the IV was put in and she looks like a poodle. Other than that, no breaking news at the moment.

twisted weblog Mr. Key Lime Pie candle came back from the freezer in one piece. He remains in critical condition as the air begins to thaw him out. Another update soon as we take you into the night reporting on only the stories that matter to you :p

twisted weblog My Key Lime Pie candle just went to take a time out in the freezer. When he comes back, he'll be cold and green, and mine forever!!! Wow, that just proves that I really need the sleep I was earlier deprived of.

twisted weblog The vet just called. Snickers has to stay overnight again, but this time just at the regular vet. No one's gonna be there, but she's not ready to come home yet. So I guess we'll see how things are tomorrow. And I swear, the whole thing was destined to happen. It was Blackberry's birthday wish to have Snickers be sick and not home for 3 days. Looks like she got her wish, at the expense of my mom's sanity :)

twisted weblog I wish I could sing. It's so depressing, listening to myself sing like a broken record. Oh well, I can pretend I'm a good singer, right?

twisted weblog Wait a second...if I'm a dumbass, I shouldn't have to read "The Chosen." But I do anyway, because I'm a dumbass who was put into an Honors English class!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, now that we have that solved, I'm gonna go take a nap or eat. Decisions, decisions...

twisted weblog Oooooooooooooooh yeah...while on the subject of books and all that stuff, I just ordered "The Chosen" from Amazon with my mommy's credit card...so there! I got the Cliffs Notes of that too, since I'm a dumbass and I might need it :D

twisted weblog Wow, there were a hell of a lot of links in that last entry. All of a sudden I'm getting amused by adding links. Hmmm...I need sleep. It's all because I had to wake up at 5:30!!! I just spent at least 5 minutes at Amazon.com getting the links for all those books, so you better appreciate it!!!

twisted weblog While we were in Needham bringing Snickers to the emergency hospital, my dad took Robbie and me to the New England Mobile Book Fair, a discount book store place. One of the people who works at the hospital told us about it. The place had tons of books. I was looking for "Saint Joan" by George Bernard Shaw and "The Chosen" by Chaim Potok. I only found "Saint Joan" though. I also got the Cliffs Notes for "Great Expectations" [I'm almost done...finally!!! And I think I get it now :)], as well as "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul III," "A Caribbean Mystery" by Agatha Christie, "Holes" by Louis Sachar, and "Dicey's Song" by Cynthia Voigt. I'll be all set with my reading for a while ;p

twisted weblog My poor Snickers. Last weekend was the worst of my life so far. Snickers has been sick for a couple days, and my mom took her to the vet Sunday morning. Turns out she had a reaction to the vaccine she got earlier in the week. She had a fever with a temperature of 106. I guess it's gone down a little since then, but I really don't know. She had to stay overnight at an emergency animal hospital and she's been hooked up to an IV that's giving her fluids to keep her hydrated. She may come home tonight, but we're not sure. We had to leave at 5:30 this morning to pick her up at the emergency hospital and bring her back to the regular vet, because they only take animals overnight while the regular vets are closed. They're going to call to tell us when to get her or how she's doing or whatever. Today's been a busy day. I was ready for lunch at 7 am, and now I'm ready for dinner.

twisted weblog I was at Angela's site yesterday looking at the downloads. I took the Uno one. It's like the card game, and it's so addicting. I've been playing it so much, and of course, kicking the computer's ass :)

Friday, August 11, 2000twisted weblog Sandy's back from her 11 day vacation. I'm so thrilled. I've had no one to talk to while she's been gone. I swore to myself I'd send her birthday present today...I still haven't gotten around to it. Oh well. There's always later, seeing as the Post Office probably isn't even open yet!

Tuesday, August 8, 2000twisted weblog Wednesday night was quite eventful. I would've written sooner, but I just can't get my lazy ass to do it till I really feel like it. So we finally met them. Julie and I met Randy and Eli at the movies. We went to see "What Lies Beneath." It was uh...interesting. Not just the movie though, the whole experience was pretty damn interesting in itself. I sat between Randy and Julie, despite the fact that Eli's my boyfriend. Apparently, it was just the order that we were walking in, and Randy didn't think to let Eli go first, or go over to the other side of Julie or whatever instead. So I guess that was a tad disappointing, not sitting next to Eli. I guess it was kinda weird though, cuz we were all pretty nervous the whole time. When we first saw them, we were like "Oh my God. That is soooo them!" It was funny, but anyway...So when we finally approached them, I walked out of the women's bathroom [where we hid while waiting] dragging Julie by the arm and said to them "I'm Patty, and this is Julie, and we're going to the movies now." And then they just followed us like little dogs. It was cute I guess. So then we watched the movie. It was alright I guess. Parts were a little frightening, and the ending was really strange. It was unexpected and stuff. Eli thought it sucked. I don't think any of us really loved it either. So then we hung around until 10. We didn't call Julie's dad till 10:10 and he came at like 10:25 or something. I didn't get home till 10:45 and my parents were sooo pissed. They knew I was doing something. They don't know I met Eli and Randy there but they were suspicious of me getting home so late and stuff. That's all I guess. Eli and I have been talking about the other night quite a bit. He was saying how he wanted to kiss me and all this other shit. He also told me I looked nice, which really flattered me. I mean, maybe he felt obligated to say it, but I don't care. It was still nice of him, since my self-esteem level is lower than the Grand Canyon. That was kind of a gay comparison but it just popped out, so shut up! So yeah, Wednesday night was fun. We'll do it again sometime soon. More later...

Thursday, August 3, 2000twisted weblog A ton has happened in the past five days! Julie came back from the Cape. I found out Eli wasn't avoiding me. I found out Eli still likes me. Eli asked me out. Plus a bunch of other stuff. So now I'm going out with Eli for the third time since I met him. Julie decided it would be a good idea to meet Eli and Randy at the mall yesterday, so we made a pathetic attempt. Seeing as they live an hour away, and not knowing if they could even go, we weren't sure when they'd be there. So I gave Randy the number to my beeper and told him to page me from a payphone when they got to the mall, so we'd know they were there. I also told him to page me if they couldn't come, just so we wouldn't hang around forever waiting for them. That's what happened anyway. Sure enough, Randy didn't think that he was supposed to page me if he couldn't go. He thought that we would just leave if they didn't show up. So right before I called my mom to have her pick Julie and me up, I called Eli, since I didn't know if Randy would be at his aunt's house or not, and I don't have the number for his mom's house. Of course, Eli wasn't home. I got his machine. Thank God I remembered Randy's number. So I called Randy and asked him why they didn't come and all that junk. It turns out Eli was at the Museum of Science in Boston with his family for the day, and Randy's mom wouldn't let him come alone. So much for our attempt at meeting them. We're gonna try to meet them at the movies later this week though. Hope it goes well. That's all for now. XOXO.

twisted weblog Today's Eli's birthday, but he's still avoiding me, or whatever the hell he wants to call it. I have no idea. All I know is that it's been really getting to me, all this stuff. So, I guess I'll have no way of telling him to have a good birthday, although it'll all be over in 47 minutes anyway. Nite. Don't let the hyper kittens bite :D

Sunday, July 30, 2000twisted weblog I'm sooo bored right now. I'm talking to Randy, but we're not having much of a conversation. I haven't heard from Julie but I hope she's coming home soon. I still miss her like hell. Now, I'm attempting to finish this damn page. I really have to catch up with all my summer reading too. So much for finishing "Great Expectations" anytime soon. Gotta jet for now. Bye bye ;p

Saturday, July 29, 2000twisted weblog I got back from seeing "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" about an hour ago. I went with Kim. Her dad was taking her and her brother and sister, so she asked me to meet her there. Robbie came with me too. There were a lot of people there. Surprisingly, most of them were either little kids or adults. It definitely wasn't a very child-appropriate movie. There was some stuff in there that I know half the theater didn't get at all. Overall, the movie kinda sucked though. It was funny, which is always good, cuz movies that aren't funny are usually boring. But the plot was just stupid. It was like "Austin Powers" or something, with just a real stupid plot line. There was this guy in the row in front of us who laughed really loud. It was so obnoxious, and annoying as hell too. Julie called this morning from the beach. I was glad to talk to her, but we only talked for a couple minutes. She said she'd call back tonight from her dad's cell, so I'll be hanging around eagerly waiting. Randy sent me his picture when we were talking on AIM earlier. From the way he was talking about himself, I was expecting the worst, but really, he's not bad at all. At least he treats me like a person, unlike some people. I've been talking to him a lot lately. As for Eli, he's avoiding me just because I asked him out. Life sucks, but oh well. Screw it all!

twisted weblog I'm back again. I was just checking to make sure everything looked all right on my site, and I realized there's no pop-ups or banner ads! I'm so stupid. I forgot that since only one of the pages would have the ads, and you get to it from another frames page, that no pop-ups would show up. My luck is just increasing more and more by the minute I guess. So now I'm happy. I'll be able to rest easy. And I sure as hell need it to. I swear this time! Good nite ;p

twisted weblog Never mind the whole good nite bit. I'm still up, and more hyper than ever! No not really. Actually, I feel like I'm gonna collapse anytime now. I went to Tripod and updated my account so there's a pop-up ad instead of a banner on the page. I know the pop-ups are annoying, but till I can shake off Tripod, they're gonna stay. The banners screw up frames and everything. It can get pretty messy. Also, today's my friend Lauren's birthday. Not that anyone would care. Oh well, it just popped into my mind. I miss Julie terribly although she's only been gone since yesterday. Her fishies are doing dandy though. They'll stay alive as long as I'm taking care of 'em. A big flake of goldfish food twice a day's easy enough to remember. I suppose I'll got and watch SNL in a couple minutes or find something to do to amuse myself until I fall asleep. So really, good nite!

twisted weblog Wow! It's really amazing that I actually did this layout myself. I know it's really crappy and stuff, and not entirely professional-looking, but I've been trying to dice images and put together something like this for at least a year. So, despite what you may think, I'm proud of myself and my first-grade-level work! I really like this picture too. I got it from Corbis. If I remember correctly, it's the pyramid entrance of the Louvre Museum [or whatever it is] which is somewhere in Europe, at sunset. It'd be real nice if I could remember the details, but I can't. So that'll do for now. But I dunno, I just thought it was a real pretty picture. It's not too summery or anything, but I'm just so thrilled that I pulled it together all the same. So I guess, after numerous hopeless attempts in the past, I'm gonna make this a good site. It's going to be completely centered around me, which might be tough at first. It's hard for me to right about myself and all. I know a lot people use their weblogs as places to post links and stuff like that that they like, but I'm planning to use mine as more of a journal, seeing as I'm the focus of my site. Funny as it may seem, I guess some people really do enjoy reading into other people's personal lives. As soon as I've got a couple posts up, I'm going to try and figure out the whole archiving thing to, but as of now, I'm 98% clueless about it. Oh yeah, and also, right now, I'm using Tripod to host the blog portion of my site, since Envy doesn't have FTP access. Apparently, they're adding it real soon though. Unfortunately, Tripod does have ads, so bear with me till I switch the blog over to Envy. Thanks and have a great nite!
