Fun Books Needed

Fun Reading. That's what we're looking for. We are collecting books for patrons to read and return (or not, as the case may be). So if you have mysteries, biographies, trashy novels, children's books, hi-lo readers, etc. to keep the Alverno College community smiling between assignments, please bring them to Holly Morse (LA209A) or Diane Klajbor (LA207A) in the Library. Our Fun Books are located in the MGM Memorial Reading Area (where the aquarium and comfy chairs are). These books are not stamped or cataloged as part of our collection, and do not need to be checked out.

New Business and Management Database Available

FIS Online, by Mergent (formerly Moody's) is now available from the Electronic Database page on the Alverno Library Home Page. It contains annual reports and detailed information for over 28,000 companies.

Full text documents are now available through ERIC.

Using our standard Ovid interface to ERIC, you can now access full text of 80%(from 1996 to present) of all ERIC Documents (ED). When looking at an article, click on the EDRS Full Text button to see if it is available. These documents are PDF files, so you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Access to ERIC is available through our Electronic Databases links on the Alverno Library Home Page .
