exerpt from my other group blog:

I am by no means any sort of expert on foreign affairs, or the middle east.. but in my own ignorent opinion this makes sense to me. Some are saying to "bomb the hell" out of afghanastan because they are HAPPY with the terrible events of yesterday. I have heard that it was only a SMALL group of people who cheered when they heard the news. When we start lumping individuals together into one huge group we are no better than the terrorists who believe all americans are evil. It's called prejiduce and stereotyping. Anytime somewhere is attacked SOMEONE is celebrating.

The US is an opressor. They lead with an iron fist and no one can say anything about it or have NATO on their asses. I don't believe innocent americans deserved to die for the way their government chooses to rule, just as i don't think innocent afganistans should die for the way the Taliban and Bin Ladin rule. The citizens there fear the Taliban MORE than the US.

How many americans cheered when "charlie" got snipered?

There are 2 sides to every story. Everyone has their reasons for their actions... whether not we as north americans hold the same reasons as dear to us is irrelevant.

If you had lived in a place where since the beginning of time your ancestors held pez sacred, you hold pez sacred, many who lived in your country were willing to die for the good of the pez, and then one day for the pez you take out the anti-pez, aren't you gonna celebrate? This is the reason for your life. The driving force that gets you through your day. IT IS YOUR REASON FOR LIVING AND BREATHING. The reason americans can't fathom this is because WE HAVE NO HISTORY! We have no traditional dress, we have no obsessive religion as a collective country, we have no reason to give our lives for ONE THING. America is a melting pot, therefore every subject that you or your family holds so dear to them is watered down. Your neighbors don't hold the things sacred that you do...your friends dont. They hold other things sacred. Now throw religion in the mix and you have fanatics who will GIVE THEIR LIVES to make a point. Would you GIVE YOUR LIFE to express your love for maroon? NO!

That's the difference between america and afganistan. That is why they are celebrating.

Society as we know it is changed. There's no disputing that fact. Whether it's an instant fear of middle easter immigrants, instant commradery of allied countries for a better social web, or instant hatred of anything different from our own white as snow lives, things have changed.

Gee, I'd like to ge me on of those dandy 2 way mirror windshields so i can PICK MY NOSE AND EAT IT at the stop light in total privacy just like the driver of the van next to me. Oh wait, he doesn't have a 2 way mirror windshield, so the rest of the world can't see him TWO KNUCKLES DEEP INTO HIS NASAL CAVITY. He just has a REGULAR windshield like the rest of the world. In that case, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM PICKING YOUR NOSE IN YOUR CAR AND EATING IT IN PUBLIC! THERE IS NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE IN SNOT!
Thankyouverymuch.

I could buy expensive clothes and get my hair done if i WANTED to and live paycheque to paycheque.. but instead i'm doing things like saving for RRSP's, paying BILLS, and ohh! SAVING MY MONEY. I'm actually very fortunate to have the life i do. I mean, i am in no way rich at all.. but for my lifestyle..which is comfortable for me. No cell phone, no new car, peasent vision cable and clothes i LIKE to wear, rather than clothes i wear ONCE to dinner, i live pretty damn well. It's about standards of comfort. If you are so snotty as to think that nothing but Gucci is good enough to cover your ass than FINE. Spend 500 bucks on a tube top. But don't come crying to my saving ass when you need some cash to pay your cell phone/car/insurance/hair-do/nails/whatever the fuck ever bills. It's pretty sad when a guy who lives in a 200,000 dollar house with a pool who drive a beamer is freaking out when his paycheque is a day short and he won't be able to make the mortgage that month. JESUS H CHRIST, if you can't afford your lifestyle, GET A NEW ONE.

Do you know what is the most annoying thing in the entire world? Well why don't I tell you all. I HATE BEING CORRECTED!

So Brian, (one of the sales reps here), walks into Mike's office where I'm sitting, (Mike is the accountant). I say to Mike, "Can I have an envelope." Before I can even finish, Brian spits out "Please!" Not just any old please, but an inflected PLEASE! OK, what the fuck. A. I don't go around saying please and thank-you all the time. I'm not full of sunshine spreading joy all over the world. B. The rest of the world doesn't go around saying please and thank-you all the time. You'd be considered a freak if you were so nice. C. You're not my mother. If anybody has a right to do such a horrid thing, it would be her and only her. And finally D. Stick your snooty nose is somebody else's business. If I were to say "please," I wouldn't of even had a chance to. Stupid Brian cutting me off. How about this, "PLEASE go fuck yourself and THANK-YOU for leaving me the fuck alone!" Shesh!

Roadtrip.. Roadtrip.. ROADTRIP!!!

Went on a roadtrip with some EB friends.. On a whim, instead of going to Penticton and back, we decided to go all the way to Kamloops and back. (Start, Kelowna. Penticton, 60ish km. Kamloops, 190ish km). Well, we took the long way to get there, and the short way to come back. It was a 5 hour driving trip in total, my car probibly hates me now and I worried the heck out of my parents. It was fun.

It's officially planned. Dave will be moving out before his next birthday, which is in May. Dave and Jen were planning this for quite sometime now, and we both decided tonight that it's something we both need to do. Not that living at home is really bad or anything, but that independence feeling is starting to kick in. We've been planning and planning, but not really doing anything about it. Anyways, since both of our birthday's are in the same month, we both decided that it was a good goal. Come November, we start saving and planning more in depth. A third roommate is needed, a bunch of house stuff, and a lot of budgeting. Dave can't wait!

Dave didn't intend to talk third person, it just happened. So deal with it!

Fucking Blogger is slow as hell. Piss me off, I've tried to blog four times today!

Aaliyah died yesterday. I liked her music, and she was good in "Romeo Must Die." Kinda makes you think. She was only 22, had a promising career ahead of her, she was to be in "The Matrix 2" and she was good looking. (At least she was to me). Scary to think, you have such a bright future and it can be taken away from you in an instant. Then I think, why couldn't Britney Spears or the Backstreet Boys get killed. The world would be better off, but that's the nasty side of Dave talking!

On a lighter note, I have a new favorite band, Joydrop. They sound like Garbage, which is my favorite band. "Sometimes Wanna Die" was the song that won me over, download it here, watch it here. I'm listening to the CD, very good. GO BUY IT NOW! Right click on the link to save it! BTW, they're Canadian too! Woo-hoo! Go Canada!

Now, what is so different head-wise today, that hasen't been there for the LAST13 YEARS?

Do you know what it smells like outside? It smells like fall! Autumn is near, and I couldn't be happier! Not that there is anything wrong with summer, I just need a change of scenery. Plus it smells so good outside! I hope it rain’s too, because this summer has been so dry. After rain comes snow! After snow comes Christmas. After Christmas comes New Years Eve. After New Years Eve comes New Years Day. After New Years Day I’m pretty much finished with winter, and all that cold stuff it comes with! The end of August is pretty much the same for me. I’m sick of summer, and I want a new season! Well, it’s here, and I’m happy!

So I started something new. It is called “Boost.” It’s a meal supplement. Not very bad, I must say. I’m not overall too hungry, which normally I am. It didn’t taste too bad. There is just one drawback. I’m tooting like there is no tomorrow. (That’s farting for anybody who doesn’t know what tooting is!) I have to go to some desolate area of the office and relieve myself of a fart! It’s very annoying. If this happens tomorrow, I might have to quit before I really get started.

If there are any Mac people out there, do not shop at Simply Computing. They are a bunch of rip-off artists there! (Toot-toot!) I went there to see how much it would be to update my Mac. $172 for a 20GB Hard disk, which I know I could have gotten cheaper if I had a PC. Remember this is for Mac. It was $300 to upgrade the processor to a G3. (Toot-toot!) Simply Computing wanted to charge me $380 for a 64MB RAM chip. WTF! OK, I know Mac stuff is a bit more expensive then PC stuff. I also have an older Mac, which makes parts harder to find. I cannot believe almost 400 dollars for stupid RAM! So I went somewhere else, Alpha Bite Computers. They deal with PC stuff, but one of the guys there went and special ordered it for me, (they are in the same building as OK Tel, where I work). For 2 64MB RAM chips, it will cost me $224. So, after doing the math, I was about to be charged over 3 times the price for RAM at stupid Simply Computing. They lost my business! :P

Big Brother 2 is on after 4 nights of not having it. To be honest, I kind of don’t miss it. I’ll still watch it tonight. With only five people left in the house, not much can happen. But this show, well it’s second season, has come with a lot of surprises. We’ll see what happens!

My philosophy for life: Few things are innocent. Perfection is relative. Guys are horny, people are shallow, and I'm no better. But at least I see it, and realize it, and want something different. My response: Put your heart and soul into everything that's worth the effort. Don't be afraid to give someone a hand. Smile, dance, and laugh like it's your last day on earth. Work for your ideals, whatever they may be. ~Shannon

OK, could the power go out anymore times? So I'm at work, cleaning my stockroom, when all the power goes out. OK, no biggie, it only lasted for about 10 seconds. It went out a second time. Fine, the power company is working on the problem. The power continues to go out, in ten minute intervals, another nine times. That's a total of eleven times the power went out. That's not counting any times it might have gone out since I left work after close. Holy annoying! I couldn't get any work done, because by the time my stupid PC, yes stupid PC, (wouldn't have this problem with a Mac!), loaded up and opened the programs I needed, the power would go out again. It got so pathetic, by the time everybody at Okanagan Telephone realized there were ten minute intervals, I was going around giving everybody times before the next outage. "You have two minutes before the next outage!" Not to sound like I'm ranting and raving, because really it wasn't all that bad. I thought it was kind of funny. It's the only time you can hear three or more people in an office yell "fuck" at the same time. I had fun today! ;)

I don't know what she's complaining about. I love summer! I love it even more every year it comes around. About the only thing I can't stand about summer is the extreme heat my car sometimes reaches. It's a/c challenged!

OK, I'm the ruler of the phones today at OK Tel. I'm only suppose to answer the phones if the phone rings more then three times. Well I get to answer them when they ring once today! Bwahaha! OK, whatever, I'm a big loser! I rule, what can I say!

OK, I really dislike Pokemon.. I think it makes a good series as an Anime, and the Gameboy games are not bad either. I hate how it turned into a whole phenomena. So anyways, I once had most of the Gameboy games for Pokemon. I couldn't finish any of them, only because I have a tenancy to have to have everything. So I'd sit with a Gameshark, (a hacking device), and cheat to get all the stupid Pokemon. This totally ruined the game for me, which is my own fault. I traded in all my Pokemon stuff to EB, where I use to work, and got store credit.. The nostalgia over a good game kicked in. Really, without cheating first, and the whole aura Pokemon cause, it really isn't that bad.. Anyways, I bought the new installment of Pokemon for the Gameboy yesterday. The Gameshark tempting me so, (I pretty much had the thing ready to load up, then I stopped!). I decided to play the game through, no cheating. I realized something. How much fun a game can be without cheating. Like I said before, it's my own fault for cheating and ruining a game.. Oh well, I thought I should share this.. Yeah yeah, Pokemon, what a looser I am. Whatever! I ONLY OWN ONE GAME! So there..

Big Brother 2 rules.. Eviction tonight. Hope Mike goes, cause I like Krista! She's hot! So was Shannon, but she was a bitch! Nicole is kinda hot too. Only kinda, though!

I think that WARM TOILET SEAT SYNDROME is possible the grossest thing on this planet. It goes hand in hand with smelly stall-itus and wet paper dispenser-pox. I would sooner WALK TO THE OTHER END OF MY BUILDING then use a facility that i just watched a patron walk out of. I mean, toilet seats are supposed to be COLD. That is as refreshing as a toilet can get, i suppose.. and when that tiny bit of positivity is taken away from a toilet seat, there is nothing left but grossness. I don't want to feel the BODY HEAT OFF THE REAR OF SOME DUMPY SECRETARY. No thanks. The only thing worse than sitting on a still warm toilet seat has to be smelly stall-itus. In fact, it's so gross I am not going to talk about it. Lastly, is wet paper dispenser-pox. That LITTLE DRIP OF WATER left on the top of the paper dispenser handle. I know that is is probably full of soap and probably the MOST SANITARY thing in the ENTIRE joint, but knowing that is was in contact with the hand that just wiped the ASS of that aformentioned dumpy secretary is just too close for comefort. I have routinely wiped my hands on my jeans for fear of touching that water droplet. If this was a perfect world, we would all have our own private stalls. My name would be on the door and no one but myself would have a key.. except of course for the night janiter. That would be a considerable job related perk. I have to go wash my hands now. I feel all icky.
