I got this in the mail today. It rocks!

Horoscope of the day:
"Today you could be surprised to find that someone has a crush on you, Hywell!
You get along well with everybody, and at work you have many friends. But one
of these friends might be developing a stronger affection for you. Pay attention
to signals today that might indicate a more romantic interest. Once you figure
out who has been drawn within your web, you'll have to decide what you're going
to do about it!"

That's right, I'm a stud. What am I going to do about it? Absolutely nothing because I will get an asswooping, from Nohemi, otherwise.

I have a foreboding that I will feel no remorse when it's their mothers and fathers that die. They have succeeded in turning my heart cold and vengeful. They see theirs as a holy war, they shall soon see an unholy war of vengence. They spread propaganda that they are oppressed and victimized. Soon enough they will experience the vindictiveness of their oppressors and make true their claims. Like justice, revenge is usually indiscriminate and unforgiving.

I was hopeful not long ago that humanity is actually evolving into an enlightened brood. A presumption that was truly wrong. There is no hope for our kind, not until we eradicate this cancer of our species. This disease, this defect has to be stomped out of existence.

Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2

I can't believe the news today,
I can't close my eyes and make it go away.
How long, how long must we sing this song?
How long? Tonight we can be as one.
Broken bottles under children's feet,
Bodies strewn across a dead end street,
But I won't heed the battle call,
It puts my back up, puts my back up against the wall.

Sunday, bloody Sunday.
Sunday, bloody Sunday.

And the battle's just begun,
There's many lost, but tell me who has won?
The trenches dug within our hearts,
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters torn apart.

Sunday, bloody Sunday.
Sunday, bloody Sunday.

How long, how long must we sing this song?
How long, Tonight we can be as one.
Tonight, tonight.

Sunday, bloody Sunday.
Sunday, bloody Sunday.

Wipe the tears from your eyes,
Wipe your tears away,
Wipe your blood shot eyes.

Sunday, bloody Sunday.
Sunday, bloody Sunday.

And it's true we are immune.
When fact is fiction and T.V. is reality,
And today the millions cry,
We eat and drink while tomorrow they die.

The real battle just begun.
To claim the victory Jesus won,
On a Sunday bloody Sunday,
Sunday bloody Sunday.

I have found these pictures and videos of the WTC disaster.

Horoscope of the day:
"Today you could have a revealing conversation with someone, Hywell. Sometimes
you can really get into topics like religion, spirituality, and philosophy.
And today you could be inspired to get into a deep discussion with someone.
During this chat, you could learn a lot about the other person. And you will
definitely learn something important about yourself. It's a good time to get
clearer about your values and your beliefs."

Now I need to find someone interesting and start a conversation.

What if it was home grown? I cannot imagine the consequences if it were. Oklahoma City was horrible enough but I cannot bear to think if so was the WTC. I, for one, preferred Timothy McVeigh to have rotted for a lifetime in jail. He got it too easy by getting executed too fast. I hope the FBI gets results as soon as possible. That federal building in OK City was only 5 stories tall and rescuers took 10 days to comb through the rubble. The twin towers are 220 stories combined.

I pray that everyone that survived the collapse of the towers be rescued alive. But that's highly unlikely but I pray for it anyway. The U.S. should accept the help offered by Israel and Russia to help in the rescue of the people trapped in the rubble. These countries have more than enough experience with these kinds of rescue efforts.

This is funny but is like farting at someone that just clubbed someone to death.

Horoscope for the day:

You might feel a little distracted today, Hywell. You may want to keep your
calendar on hand so that you don't forget any important appointments. Or you
might need to ask an assistant to remind you of your engagements. Take your
time, because the more you rush, the more you could forget! If you can pace
yourself, you'll be able to focus better. Just handle one thing at a time.

I wonder when the bombings would commence?

The World Trade Center (Twin Towers) are no longer. Two planes allegedly hijacked and forced to slam into the skyscrappers this morning. This is the chronology of events taken from CNN:

11:26 a.m.: United Airlines reports that United Flight 93, en route from Newark, New Jersey, to San Francisco, has crashed in Pennsylvania. The airline also says that it is "deeply concerned" about United Flight 175 that departed from Washington's Dulles International Airport.

11:18 a.m.: American Airlines reports it has lost two aircraft. American Flight 11, a Boeing 767 flying from Boston to Los Angeles, had 81 passengers and 11 crew aboard. Flight 77, a Boeing 757 en route from Washington's Dulles Airport to Los Angeles, had 58 passengers and six crew members aboard.

11:16 a.m.: CNN reports that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is preparing bioterrorism teams to respond to the incidents in a precautionary move. The preparation is not based on any known bioterrorism threat.

11:02 a.m.: New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani urges citizens to stay at home and orders an evacuation of the area south of Canal Street.

10:54 a.m.: Israel evacuates all diplomatic missions.

10:53 a.m.: New York's primary elections scheduled for today are postponed.

10.48 a.m.: Police confirm the crash of a large plane in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

10.46 a.m.: U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell cuts short his trip to Latin America to return to the United States.

10:45 a.m.: All federal office buildings in Washington are evacuated.

10:30 a.m.: The north tower of the World Trade Center collapses from the top down as if it were being peeled apart with a tremendous array of debris and smoke.

10:24 a.m.: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reports that all inbound transatlantic aircraft flying into the United States are being diverted to Canada.

10:22 a.m.: In Washington, the State and Justice departments are evacuated, along with the World Bank.

10:13 a.m.: The United Nations building evacuates, including 4,700 people from the headquarters building and 7,000 total from UNICEF and U.N. development programs.

10:10 a.m.: United Airlines Flight 93 crashes in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, southeast of Pittsburgh.

10:08 a.m.: Secret Service agents armed with automatic rifles are deployed into Lafayette Park across from the White House.

10:05 a.m.: The south tower of the World Trade Center collapses, plummeting into the streets below. A massive cloud of dust and debris forms and slowly drifts away from the building.

9:51 a.m.: The FAA halts all flight operations at U.S. airports, the first time in U.S. history that air traffic nationwide has been halted.

9:45 a.m.: The White House evacuates.

9:43 a.m.: An aircraft crashes into the Pentagon, sending up a huge plume of smoke. Evacuation begins immediately.

9:39 a.m. President Bush is to convene a national security meeting immediately upon his return to Washington. The president has spoken with Vice President Dick Cheney and New York Gov. George Pataki.

9:35 a.m.: New York City Port Authority orders all bridges and tunnels in the New York City area closed.

9:06 a.m.: A second plane, apparently a passenger jet, crashes into the second World Trade Center tower and explodes. Both buildings are burning.

8:48 a.m: A large plane, possibly a hijacked airliner, crashes into one of the World Trade Center towers, tearing a gaping hole in the building and setting it afire.

The most impressive thing about this is that whoever is responsible was able to achieve something seemingly impossible... they shut the air travel in the U.S. down. One thing, please do not compare this act of cowardice to Pearl Harbor. Pearl Habor was a military base attacked by another countries' military. The crashing of hijacked planes to the sides of civilian buildings is an act of cowardice, attacking defenseless people is not heroic at all. I hope that they quarter whomever is responsible for these actions.

Nohemi is back! I am so happy. At the very least, I am no longer alone. She sleeping right now... I should go to bed too because it has been a long day for me as well. I drove to Chicago and back and it's rather tiring to drive 300 some odd miles. I left Kalamazoo at around 11 and met Darwin on my way to Chicago to have breakfast at Mc Donald's. I missed breakfast but it didn't really matter. On my way to O'Hare, I stopped by at Chinatown in Chicago and met Angeline (a friend of my brother Mark) because she had a present for him. I know he doesn't read my blog so it shouldn't ruin the surprise when I drop off the present tomorrow. After that I went to O'Hare. I sat around in the parking lot for about 15 minutes and went into the terminal. Nohemi's plane arrived an hour early so she was already there sitting waiting for me. If I went in immediately she wouldn't have waited for so long.

I missed the company golf outing today. It was postponed from two weekends ago because of rain. I could have played golf today but instead I was driving all day:( It is alright, I am not complaining. I much rather drive all day to have my Nohemisita back. She took around 400 pictures with the digital camera and I should be posting it Monday. The digital camera is old so the quality of the pictures aren't as good as the pictures I take using the digital camera from work. I think I'll buy a new digital camera before I go to Spain for the holidays. I WILL go to Spain this Christmas break unless Esther doesn't forgive me for the embarassment that I caused her:) I posted the comments that Nohemi wrote with the pictures she sent me and her friends. There were certain comments not meant for the world to see. Esther doesn't love me right now. She would literally kick my ass if I was in the same continent as her at this point in time. Luckily, there's the Atlantic Ocean separating us right now so my buffer zone is pretty big. Anyway, I scoured through the pictures of Es Trenc (nude beach) but I couldn't find any neked people. There are some quasi-naked people but nothing good. Oh well, maybe next time I go to Spain I wouldn't be too chicken in taking pictures of naked people on the beach.

Blah, blah, blah I'm going to bed.

On a lighter note... an article about Viagra.

Imagine your 4 year old child going to school escorted by APCs and police in riot gear. Imperialism and colonies have died out in the beginning of the 20th century, the British need to wake up and smell the coffee. I cannot believe that anyone would throw a pipe bomb at a 4 year old child over religious beliefs. Catholics, Protestants, Presbyterian we are all Christians so what the fuck is the fucking problem? Why do you have to try to kill a little girl going to grade school because she's Catholic? What is gained by this violence? WHAT? Please world, enlighten me with a reason behind these actions. I am at a loss, I cannot understand it at all.

The Man is watching me! This is what he sent me for a horoscope today, after I ranted on about smoking last night...

"Today you could decide to do something to improve your health, Hywell. You're
not really a health nut, and you have your share of vices. But maybe there
is something that you can cut back on. If you are a smoker, try reducing the
load on your lungs. Cut back the amount of cigarettes that you smoke. Or if
you are overweight, think about eating more nutritious foods. You'll feel good
if you take action in a positive direction today."

I am too cynical of a person to be reading the news. I give up, it's up to you to open your eyes and see what the people that you give a quarter of your salary are doing.

In order to jack up the price for this vaccine, the government will have to "test" this vaccine for a decade or so then release it. Conspiracy? I think so.
[link]
I just about had a cow when I read this article. I view it as the catalyst to the job interview question "Are you a smoker?". If you say "yes" then you are stacked in the undesirables pile. I have been working full-time at my current job for 3.5 years. I have never called in sick and I have been a smoker ever since I started working and still a smoker now. The only reason that I get sick is when I go to a user's computer infested with germs because they have kids(germ repository) at home. Why aren't there any studies of people with children and the number of sick days that they take? It is because they aren't targeted by the propaganda from the insurance companies. The health insurance companies just want you to give them money but do not want to pay for your hospital/doctor visits because that means they have to give back some of the money you give them. They are greedy vultures just like the government and all the big institutions. If this kind of brainwashing continues people are going to mandate a law to ban smoking. What you end up having is the Prohibition Part 2.

The "study" only ran for a three month period. Is that really sufficient to formulate conclusions and say "Smokers are... less productive"? The smokers in the study are "less productive" than a non-smoker because they are working in an airport counter in the United States. Airport which implies that the smokers have to walk a few miles to light a cigarette which is a "loss" in productivity. But the so called loss is accrued during a worker's "break" time. This "study" was poorly done. Why didn't this doctor observe professionals instead of people in an airport counter? Because his study would have yielded different results. Results that would have meant his three month study was a complete waste of time and money.

The academia seem to be able to waste resources in futile research but cannot yield results where needed. Instead of wasting time on smoker/non-smoker propaganda, this "doctor" should invest his time in more meaningful research like finding a cure for cancer or AIDS. No wonder people are still dying left and right from diseases.

Okay story first... last week we played against Chris and Bob and we lost. That made us loose the first place for the second half of the league. Since Chris and Bob won the first half they are the champions for the league this year. Yesterday, we played against the 2nd place team from the first half and below is the score card.

The 4 extra points from the lower net score made us win. We won second place for the league this year... uhm yay?

So my blog in Hiligaynon is now up and running. This is kinda cool and I am planning to update it regularly.

You know what I found to be lacking in the net... some blogs in Ilonggo. That would be so fun and cool to read:) I think I'll create another blog completely in Ilonggo. Actually, the dialect is called Hiligaynon and the people are called Ilonggo but people confuse the two all the time. But who cares, it's not like you'd understand it anyway.

Sometimes you think of the future and you see a clear path to what you want. Some other days this path is really blurry and you just wander around aimlessly. I think of the future occasionally but when I do I get really depressed and worried. I am a pessimist... the bottle is always half empty. Why can't I just be a blonde? Why can't I just exist happy with an empty head devoid of thought? What will it take to make me happy? Actually, very little... I can be happy for no apparent reason but I can get really sad for no reason either. Why do I worry? What am I worried about? Are these worries worth worrying about? I am not worried about anything but I am worried. I think I will bitch about something... angst is alway better than concern.

I am not angry about anything. I guess, there goes that idea.

Why can't I be happy with what I have. I am relatively healthy... I have a wonderful girlfriend. I have no financial problems. Work is good. I live in the temperate zone in the middle of nowhere, still that isn't so bad. At least I am not in Siberia or the Sahara. What I am is bored. I need stimulation... I need an argument to make my mind work. I should be so lucky considering the number of airheads that walk the face of the Earth.

World, will you send me an email and argue with me about something.
