New Offer Of Support From ThermalTake
Posted by GEO @ 11:04:26 PM
I just got this from our good friends over at ThermalTake. They are trying to do what they can to help the rescue and protection efforts here in the US. Here are the details:
"On the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance, Thermaltake USA Inc. will donate 1,000 units of Volcano 6Cu to CoolerGuys.com for sale. In which, all of the proceeding during the sale of Volcano 6Cu will be donated to help the recovery of this disastrous event."
I personally think that is a pretty cool offer. Not all companies can donate large amounts yet ThermalTake is doing what they can. If you are looking for a decent heatsink go pick up one of the Volcano 6cu coolers from CoolerGuys.com! Thanks and have a good weekend!

If You Have A Second.....
Posted by GEO @ 5:33:27 PM
Take the time to check out this thread over at ArsTechnica. It is a tearjerker but an excellent show of the worldwide support America has. Believe me, it is worth a couple minutes of your time.
Thanks,

A New Day.....
Posted by GEO @ 9:21:37 AM
Yet I am still being affected by the happenings yesterday. Varying emotions streamed through my mind all day, leaving me exhausted. I woke today hardly able to move - still very tired. Life does, and will go on, I suppose, but please take the time to think and possibly pray for those who have been affected. There are several ways that you can help as well, whether it be donations of blood, or money. If you can't give blood or money try to be supportive, and understanding. Provide your shoulder, send an email - the little things can help a lot.
If you want to help surf to the American Red Cross.

Planes Crash Near Pentagon, White House, Both Trade Center Tower Collapse
Posted by GEO @ 9:45:23 AM
The title really says it all. This is a very dark day. Some things in this world I just don't understand and killing innocent people is one of them. What is going to happen next? Well, I'm not quite sure. I'm willing to bet there are some F-16, F-15, Comanche and Apaches out right now.
I Can't Believe It
Posted by GEO @ 9:11:17 AM
I know many of you already know - the World Trade Center Towers have been struck by three airplanes. I was watching the news this morning when the second one hit. I couldn't believe it. I still can't believe it. If you remember, they tried to bomb the Trade Center in '93 but failed because of the construction of the building. This time it seems whomever is responsible took a different approach. This whole thing could get ugly very quickly. Bush is trigger happy as it is and this could let loose the hounds. You should try to get into a news page if you can but most are flooded right now.

Good Stuff On The Way!
Posted by GEO @ 10:39:50 PM
Hey everyone!
Yeah, I am still here don't worry. It has been a rough couple of weeks for me. The economy is taking its toll, even in the tech sector and things are getting a little hairy. I'm holding on and AwareMag.com is feeling a bit of the brunt as well. No big deal, things are just taking a little more time to develop!
I'm still plugging away and I'm in the middle of a pretty sweet heatsink roundup! I've been testing around 10 heatsinks and the article should be posted this week!
I've also been researching a new testing platform so the heatsink results can be standardized for easier testing in the future!
So keep checking! The goods are on the way!

Posted by GEO @ 10:32:57 PM
Oooh Nilly! I just finished reviewing one of the best motherboards I've come across to date! Soyo followed up the release of the K7ADA with a brand new motherboard based on the KT266 chipset from VIA and this thing is smokin'!! The K7-DRAGON is stacked with a host of added extras and Soyo improved the BIOS and manual to make the complete package even sweeter!
You should check this badboy out if you are looking for a Socket A DDR motherboard!
