well...i finally (
finally!) got cable modem at home. working for a year for the
man, without a connection at home, can you believe it? anyway, as much as the latter meant the almost-death of this website, the renewed glory of the cablemodem will surely attempt to revive it.
most of you have probably already left...understandably: this site has been as boring as a law firm's staff meeting. for those who check this site every so often, with the hope that something might actually appear, joy to you, ladies and gentlemen...and cheers for having stayed with me during the quiet times.
anyway,
pictures of my new digs (where the cablemodem lives) are up on the site, and you're all welcome to go check them out...
look for more frequent updates...
pictures are up from our crazy memorial day bbq. the pictures accurately describe the level of sloth and gluttony (mostly sloth) which occured during these proceedings.
sloth....gluttony....definitely my favorite sins :)
bloggin' from an internet cafe in vancouver. yay to travelling (again!)
cbie now even has its own
subdomain. mark accordingly. :)
cbie is looking mighty fine, with a new face and all. go check it out!
wow. so i got an email about my site today.
man, I love adam duritz.
thanks for posting that line, I haven't heard it yet.
whoa, just saw it was from september. either way, thanks.
reminds me how much of a slacker i've been about this site. i guess spending the day in front of a computer playing with { and ; and * and & doesn't make one enthused about spending time in front of a computer at night playing with a and b and c and d. regardless, no excuse, i should just spend more time at work blogging and less time drinking coffee, or maybe more time drinking coffee & blogging, and less time .... oh whatever
anyway, since my one of my main reasons for not blogging actively is the thought that likely no one gives a damn about yanda-monologue (including me). i would much rather engage in discourse with others.
so, in the spirit of
gangbang, i've created
cafe brasil in exile. give me a
holler, and i'll add you to the list of users, as appropriate. johanna, keith, and
ali - i expect some response. it'll find a permanent home somewhere, when/if it gets enough coverage...
probably another pipe dream.
the pictures from my crazy birthday dinner are up
here. they are not indexed or explained as yet, that's future work for when i'm not lazy.
also back by popular demand (yeah, whatever), is the
yandacam. view it now, because i don't know how long it'll actually remain in existance.
i should be back online now
As of yesterday, March 14th, 2001, my email access is dead. I am attempting to resolve this problem, but please do not
send mail to yanda@fauxbia.org. It will NOT arrive currently. Please send instead to yderlich@yahoo.com. Thanks
quote of the week:
if everybody loves you....then what the fuck are you thinking about bob dylan for
-adam duritz, from the modified mr.jones song, the gorge, washington, september 16th, 2000
:)
i went to a concert at the gorge yesterday with dave.
the gorge is this fantastic venue, where the stage is located at the edge of this giant cliff, and you can see beyond the stage
to the mountains, and look up at the beautiful sky.
besides the scenery, i saw
counting crows and
live and they were both awesome. live started out
the show (after the opening band, unified theory, which wasn't bad either), and during a live song, adam duritz came out and
sang with them!
then, during cc's last song, all of live, unified theory, and all of their friends and family came out on the stage to sing, dance,
and play. :) :)
fantastic! well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive each way to the concert hall.
