Sunday, January 07, 2001 Man, I need to update this fucking site. But blah, I don't really care at the moment.
I put up a bunch of wallpapers at Deviant Art. and someone graded my Wild Turkey one. A++. So there's something to lighten up my day.
Mmph. Since I'm staying in Pa at my parents-now-mom's house.. I've had the constant fear that I'd run into someone I went to highschool with. So, last night I accidently spill wine (cause I need it) on the keyboard. Obviously, wine not being conductive to a keyboard, it's fried and I've got to replace it. So I find a keyboard in my sister's old room, which is great, but I need a port adapter for it. So, no makeup, hair not done (or washed yet), looking like general shit, I decide to run out to Radio Shack and get an adapter real quick. I figure I'm only out for a few, and it's morning, so anyone I might have gone to high school with who Didn't leave this podunk town (which is mostly Everyone I graduated with), should be working.
Of course, it didn't occur to me that they might be working at the Radio Shack. Blaaaah.
So I end up running into the elder brother of a girl I used to be really great friends with. I've been all leery about getting in touch with my old friends, since I didn't Keep in touch with them after I graduated high school. But anyway, it was a pretty cool conversation, despite my looking like hell. i found out my friend, his sister, had gotten married to the owner of the local Towing Company.
I feel like I'm in a sitcom. Someone.. please... save me?
This has been a pretty pointless rant by me.

Saturday, January 06, 2001 I haven't updated in forever. For several reasons.
first off, vacation. i went to my parents house for the holidays. it was supposed to last two weeks. i'm still here.
my parents are getting seperated, this would have been easier had anyone know but my father, however... it was a shock to everyone but him when he left.
needless to say, things are hellish, and i doubt i'll be updating too often.
either that, or i'll be updating every day, just to get my mind off things.

Yay! Lynnie! My other best friend, Lynnie (not the pregnant one) who is one of the writers in my Literacy - Ongoing Series Section, has the happy priveledge of being the 100th visitor to Akutenshi. Go Lynnie for the timing!
100 visitors for two days, when I haven't even really done much "advertising" for Akutenshi. In my book, i think that's pretty good.
On another note -- I'm having fun with CSS and Scrollbars. *Grins* As anyone can see who has a browser that supports CSS manipulation. You like? That's right. It's DEAD SEXY, BABY.

Well, i just took down my old site at Impure.org and put up a redirect page pointing to Akutenshi. I've wrote my letters of "Farewell, but i'm not really going anywhere." So now I'm feeling pretty... Well, done. It's a good day, i've gotten things accomplished.
..... And my best friend is going to go into labor ANY DAY now, and her husband is on the road.. which means I'm the Backup Coach.
Oh god.
In the delivery room, me. Trying not to pass out, me. Oh. Stress, me.
This whole "my best friend is pregnant" experience is just reaffirming my faith that I'm never -- I repeat - NEVER having kids.
And remember! Queer as Folk premiers tomorrow night! Get those tapes ready. *snickers*
