ok ok, so there have been little updates and no communication. that's because my internship with fedex has been extended and i've actually been working on some major projects for the company. that all will end next tuesday, august 22 because school starts the following day. though, who knows, they may ask me to remain on the payroll as a part-time employee (offsite, maybe?). i can make no promises of when i will change this site from personal to professional and move all personal information over to a yet-to-be-determined subdirectory on utopiadesign.net (another unfinished site waiting to be completed). in the meantime, continue to sign the guestbook and let me know how you arrived here. 'til next time, that's all folks!

i'm one step closer to formally declaring my own web design business. while i have all the paper work well out of the way, i have been without a presence on the web. therefore, i have registered utopiadesign.net (.com was already taken and the gentleman who owns it is unwilling to let it go). in about 48 hours, the site should be active and ready to begin promoting my business endeavor.

this site is receiving an average of 6 hits a day, but i don't think that number is completely accurate. it seems that many people are entering through different parts of the site, most recently there has been particular interest paid to the small piano tutorial i built as part of an assignment for a course in interface design. if that is how you are arriving here, or you are arriving here somehow else, please let me know so that i may streamline the information for easier access and navigation when i rebuild the site.

following a link from the tracker that keeps records of how visitors arrive at this site, i discovered the following...

http://jmichaelbrower.com/

about 1/3 down the page you see a direct link to this site, however, the page to which it refers is no longer on the web server. i will place this review, of which he notes, back online as soon as possible. it was a required assignment for last winter's project management course. once i review what i wrote myself, i will send this gentleman a friendly message. i wonder if i still agree with the review i gave....

this was a good idea for awhile, however, i no longer feel like updating it so i have deleted the blogger from my list.

now, to move onto bigger and better things like reorganizing this site and moving my blog from here (meaning the cs server) to there (meaning somewhere else). this site will eventually just contain information pertinent to my academic career at hiram college (i.e. coursework, portfolio, and resume). everything personal will be moved offsite, though a link will be provided once everything is completed.
