Burst forth into the light

"Gessekai" - Night Walker

It's becoming increasingly hard for me to read blogs. >_< Well, not all blogs... several blogs, however, I can't check anymore. Jessalyn's and Kiyo's,stand out in my mind... why?

"Stepping Wind" - Klonoa 2

Because, as much as I love spending time with them, it grates my emotions. I feel raw, hurt, scared... I can't take pessimistic attitudes anymore, because I feel like I'm being stabbed in the stomach. Thus, I have trouble reading the blogs of pessimists in general. I'm so terribly optimistic... I've found myself seeing the sunshine and the goodness in anything and anyone. Even in this situation with the WTC and Pentagon being attacked, I know it's going to be okay. Things will be handled well, and the U.S. will feel a sense of unity that wasn't there at all. We're being assisted in the matter by other countries.

And despite my occasional doubts, life IS worth living. You just have to figure out how you're going to live it, and why. And that happiness can be found if you look hard enough. To me, life is beautiful. Yes, there are bad things in the world, but there are enough good things to balance it out. My world is very much sunshine and sparkles, rainbows and unicorns. As cheesy as that is, I can find the bright side of anything if I look hard enough.

"Makenai Ai Ga Kitto Aru" - Megaman X4

Do I need to keep going to get my point across?
*sighs* Anyway. I guess I'll swear off the more pessimistic blogs until I can deal with it... which is probably bad, because Jess has been extra worried and I SHOULD try to keep up with her emotions, but... >_< I don't want to hurt myself with stagnant negativity (which means, depression and jealousy and that thing... I don't mind anger and rage that much, for some reason).

So, if you talk to me, and you're depressed, but you won't let me cheer you up or something, I'm probably not going to say much... because of what I said before, that if I can't help someone feel better, the depression and darkness and pessimism is only going to end up hurting me. Don't take it personally, okay? It doesn't mean I hate you. It means that it's causing me pain. It's probably selfish to do that, but... really, I don't want to damage myself, emotionally or mentally, beyond repair. I'm already dealing with some terrible paranoia... I don't want to add anything else to that list.

"Stepping Wind" - Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil

I'm seriously stuffed. x_x I came back from a barbecue my sister threw, which was entirely uneventful.

However, I've been rather active all day -- cleaning my room, playing with Toby, feeding the animals, all that fun stuff. And I finally did what I have been wanting to do. I broke out my altar, lit candles and incense, crunched up cinnamon (justice) and meditated and prayed. You know, I hate using that word, "prayer", it makes me sound like I'm Christian, so I'll just go with "meditate" from now on. Anyway, I meditated to the Guardians, and I dunno if they'll help out or not, but it made me feel a lot better, at least. Relieved the stress...

"Monsters" - The Cruxshadows

...So, even if my meditations aren't answered by the Guardians, I know how to calm myself in this time of crisis and utter stupidity. I want to give the president a THOROUGH slap on the face--why the hell are we bombing Afghanistan? These people didn't do it. Osama bin Laden is most likely the cause. Not Afghanistan. We need to take CONSTRUCTIVE justice here. Capture the suspects, try them, and punish them accordingly. Not run in and bomb... gah. We're a nation run by an infant. No, not an infant, a stereotypical Texan who happens to also be an infant. Honestly, I knew good things wouldn't come out of Dubya. -_-;;;

Anyway, on to more cheerful chit-chat!! ^__^
This morning, I was, you could say, attacked by a very pushy religious person. Mormons? No. Jehova's Witnesses? ..No, actually, they go away pretty easily. No, this time a Baptist came around. Um. Yeah.
He tried to give me a flyer for something their church is doing, and so I told him "No thank you, we aren't Baptists." Then he said "It's okay, anyone can come". I told him no. He asked if I even went to church. I told him no again. He started rambling about what I would do if I died and stood before God, then was cast down to hell? I just crossed my arms, looked him square in the eyes, and said in my most firm tone "Please sir, get lost. I don't care to be indoctrinated today." He gave me a bit of a look of startled pity, probably expecting me to flounder and become some sort of derranged on-the-spot-born-again, and then feeling sad for me. Pbtt. Please. As mentioned above, I get far more comfort out of the deities I brought to life with MY belief, not some hypocritical being that has caused so much pain. 9_9
...I rather hope he wrote down the address and sends more of God's thugs at me. I have a few lines I've been dying to use, and the fact that he was neither Mormon nor Jehova's Witness threw me off... of course, the ones around here tend to not be pushy. I tell them "no thanks" when they try to give me literature, and that's that.
Anyway, that guy deserved a "get lost". He was very pushy. He should have been gone the first time I said "no", which I did very politely. Yes. I'm not rude off the bat, but I will be cruel when needed.

...But as you can see, I am proud of myself.<3

"Ai no Senshi" - Sailor Moon

...One can't help but wonder how I make the jump from Cruxshadows to Sailor Moon so easily... oh well...;;;

MST3k was fun today. Though, as usual, I missed the beginning. 9_9 So I'm not sure why Pearl, Bobo, and the Observer were babysitting three children. But the movie itself sucked, as per the normal fare that gets riffed. It had potential, then just sorta went splat.;;; Something about clones used to restore people's organs, enabling them to live forever... one clone escaping, and some shit.
Seeing Mike dancing around in tight and almost revealing silver clothing to Latin music, though, is something that I can't decide between it being disturbing or funny as hell.;;;

...;;; I seriously shouldn't have three consecutive Dr. Peppers. I'm dealing with caffine shock now... x_x *sighs* Note to self, try to have more fruit drinks....

"The Angel Androgynous" - Utena

I wonder where Jessalyn and Emily are? No, wait, Emily's probably playing Klonoa. Which is good, so that she knows all about her new Klonoa soulbond (who has already gotten into a large-ish argument with my Ghadius ;;;), but she has all the info she needs for her Joka soulbond.. I dunno if he's temporary or permenant, but Ghadius was happy to see him. o_O ...let it be known that a happy Ghadius is scary and tends to pet things.;;;
Ahem. That still doesn't answer the question as to Jess' location... x_x Maybe she went to watch a movie or something. Hmm... o.o; Well, I hope she's okay. I've been worried about her lately. She's in NJ, and is very concerned. I'm sure everything will be okay, but it's not helping her worry, so... I just hope I'm right, and that things will be okay, and that we can return to normal life soon, whatever normal is.;;;

"Triumph for my Magic Steel" - Rhapsody

But really, you know we're gonna fuck up when freaking SADAM HUSSEIN says that the U.S. is making a mistake, bombing Afghanistan. o_o;;;

Well, since my plans for camping sorta fell through thanks to mom and dad's desire to go by themselves. Mind you, they haven't really done me too many favors today--McDonald's was good, but requiring me to plug my ears at 1 A.M. when I was only wanting to sleep wasn't a very nice thing.
...Draw your own conclusions, I'm still very, very disturbed by it. -_-;;;

Anyway. Since the plans for camping fell through, I was semi-productive; I went outside and played with Toby (and cleaned out the water dish, it was deplorable; algae and leaves), then went to feed the horses. Now I am home, and we are having a poll about sour cream.
Okay, gotta go get some. o.o

Well, heh, so much for that.;;; Mom and dad decided that they wanted to go camping by themselves. o.o So we got left at home.;;;;;;;

*yawn~*

Almost time for bed, but I just remembered to let you all know, I'm not going to be present this weekend. I'm going on a camping trip, you see. o.o It'll only be for a day or two.. hopefully I won't get sick again.

"Makenai Ai Ga Kitto Aru" - Megaman X4

Well, we had a bit of a scare today. o.o Chris thought Meteor was ill... and for those of you who are ill-informed, Meteor is my pet dragon. As in, Australian Bearded Dragon, not the mythological type.
Anyway, it turns out she was just kinda dehydrated, so I put some water in her tank, and she looked much better. ^_^ My sister majorly exaggerated things. 9_9 "I hope she's not going to die"... from being slightly dehydrated? Noo...;;; I mean, it was bad of me to let her get dehydrated, but she's fine now.

And... X3 Mousey antics! We have a mouse (or many mice) in our house, you see. And today, Chris' cat Bailey sorta caught it. I mean sorta by he had it, then he dropped it at Chris' feet while it was still capable of escaping, so she screamed, grabbed Bailey, and got away.;;; I got mad when I found poison left out for it, but I made it up to the mousey by taking the poison away and putting some cereal in its place. XD; I'm bad, I know, but I love all creatures, and my family doesn't even begin to grasp that we can't just kill it when it hasn't done anything wrong. So I'm letting it eat until I can track down a humane trap.
And when I opened the cabinet door to get the dishsoap out, Mousey came out of the cabinet and ran under the oven. ....XDDD<3<3<3 Positively adore it~ It's gray and small and cute...<3<3 There's no way I'm letting them kill it. Nope.

My day, otherwise, was eventless.

Now that it's mulled over in my mind for a while, I've been able to draw several answers.

First, the obvious. Many people died. It's a horrible thing, for most of these people probably did nothing to warrant the death. Most, because there could have been a rapist or an animal abuser or something.;;; Anyway, it's a tragedy, and one that will go down in history.

However, we are witnessing a prime example of media sensationalism. They're showing the clips of the towers falling over, and over. As Chris put it, it can drive you insane, sitting and watching that too much. Don't keep your eyes glued on the news. Watch it in small intervals, and THINK.

That's what's most important. They speak of war, and such, but... this is a terrorist attack. Yes, war against terrorism. But it's not war in the apocalyptic sense. It's like the war against drugs. It's fought to end it.
The chances of nuclear war are very, very small. Particularly because are targets are terrorists, not several nations. And most countries are standing behind us, or are at least neutral. Sure, there were the celebrations of the huge and even unknown amount of lives lost... however, they haven't declared war, and they were not the ones that did the actions, as far as we know. So far, we've blamed terrorists. They work independantly. It wasn't an act of war. No. It was an act of terrorism.

There won't be nuclear holocaust.
Of course, Kiyo quoting Nostradamus really scared me, but, hey.
I don't know... is anyone in this world really stupid enough to use a nuke? Nuclear war would kill everyone and everything, except for the roaches. No one would win. Surely they see that. It would be STUPID.

*sighs* Mom's drunk, says Chris. That's why she was acting so ravingly. She was in the Cold War, I understand that, but... this isn't the Cold War. This is a terrorist situation. One that will be dealt with properly. And that will be that.

We do need to express concern, not just for our country, but for all the world. If humans are truly better than animals, then why do we still fight? If it's true that we're divine creatures of rational thought, we need to abandon instincts... or, if we truely are just glorified animals, we need to abandon weaponry and handle this like animals should, with our teeth and claws.

...Whee, I'm sleepy. XD;

Well~ isn't this just peachy?

You'd have to live under a rock to have not heard of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Ya know, the ones that made them fall to the ground like such a playing card structure?

History in the making, folks. Just remember this day well, you might be interviewed for the History Channel about it someday.;;;;;
