i keep asking Tom why he doesn't like the name Emily and he just kept on saying, "i don't like it" and that's it. hmmm... makes me wonder, you know? i like the name Candace. i knew a girl by the name of Candace in elementary and middle school. she was a very pretty girl, very popular, and very smart. and she also played the harp.

this morning, while i was listening to the radio, Sam Malone was talking about baby names and how it's not so nice to name your unborn child after a person you dated. i never dated anyone other than Tom so i would not have any problem, but Tom's had a few girlfriends before me. and frankly, i like some of their names. but because of the history behind those names, i decided against that. so on my way to work, i was thinking up some names for our future kiddos, tho envisioning it is a long ways away, but i like the name Emily Kathleen. we already know that our son's name is going to have Tom's name as his middle name (Thomas). so why not my first name as our daughter's middle name? i like the name Kathleen. it sounds very sophisticated and pretty. and as for Emily, i don't know any Emilys. i could call her Em or Emmy for short.
