We've entered the stage where everyone is pointing finers.. I just hope that we can point the finger at the right motherfuckers who did it, and blow 'em up.

There are a number of "save the innocents" petitions going around, but who the hell set up a petition to see if fuckers should hijack planes and end thousands of lives? I hope we can execute whatever is necessary against whomever is hiding the people behind this as swiftly and justly as possible. This is a time to be rational, not pacifist.

wow.. it's hard to put into words the incredible loss and heartbreak that ripped across the nation this morning. As if I'm anyone's news source, I just wanted to make note of this horrible, horrible incident. The world trade center in New York City was reduced to rubble this morning when two hijacked commercial airliners slammed into each of the towers, fifteen minutes apart. CNN.com has streaming videos up of each of the collisions. Due to bandwidth restraints, I would prefer not to put them up here, (I can't find a downloadable version of the first crash, anyway) but you should check them out. It's really an immeasurable tragedy.

Casualty numbers have yet to be released, however thousands are presumed dead. Early reports from the Pentagon say anywhere from 100-800 people are unaccounted for (quite a large disparity), and as many as forty thousand work in the WTC, with up to 100000 passing through on any given day. Needless to say, this is simply the worst terrorist attack in history.

The thing that's frustrating millions of Americans is that we have no idea who's responsible. Nobody has taken "credit" for it, which is inconsistent for terrorist attacks. In most cases, they are proud of themselves for what they've accomplished. Osama bin Laden is being accused, the Palestinians are being accused, the Libyans are being accused, but the simple honest truth is that we haven't the slightest idea who to blame. It could have been a domestic act of terrorism for all we know, and that, my friends, is the scary part. I'm starting to worry that the reason no one's taken credit is that this isn't over. I hope against all hope that this isn't the case.

The FBI has apparently been investigating. As of the last time I checked (about an hour ago), they had obtained search warrants for some homes in Florida which have some sort of ties to "some people [they're] looking at", though no other information has been relayed.

I only hope that this can all come to an end without all coming to an end.

Thank you for reading. My deepest and most sincere thoughts go out to all those affected by this most terrible tragedy.

It's been a long while. Lets just say that I'm finally watching some movies again (not that I ever really stopped, though I haven't had much time lately), and feeling compelled to write things about them. The newest, and hot of the presses, are The Mexican and Requiem For A Dream. At the end, you'll also find number ratings for the DVD's, even though there aren't any comments in the reviews. If this is a problem for anyone, let me know.

well.. I've updated my Crouching Tiger review to include some notes on the DVD release of about a week ago. Still a great "mysterious" film with some beautiful cinematography and the best fight scenes ever! ;)

Oh, and apparently it was always in the cards to kill Buffy as the season cliffhanger, so oh well..

In case anyone's noticed, I haven't been updating much. While I'd love to give you a sob story as to why, I won't, instead I'll just say that I'm trying, and that it's been a tough year for your friendly neighborhood exophobe.

okay.. I've got a few things to say. HOLY &%#$! They offed Buffy! This works on a couple levels.. First of all, I'm impressed to see the Sarah Michelle Gellar stuck to her guns. She said she would never ever go to the Smackdown network, and so it appears she won't be. On the other hand, I'm surprised they actually had the balls to do it.

Enough of that. I just got done a bit ago watching Requiem For a Dream. Wow. That's a heck of a film. Not only does it manage to be deep and involving, but also has some of the best, most innovative camerawork and cinematography I've seen. I hope to have a review up soon.

I just can't believe that they offed Buffy..
