I found out yesterday that I made the basketball team here. I can't wait until the season and everything starts, it will be awesome. Yeah, I know what most of you are thinking... the team must be pretty bad if Jeremy made it. Which is kinda true... there are no really good centers, and that is the position I usually play. I will just have to step up my game and try to help the rest of the team, who are all really good basketball players. Pictures coming soon... - Jeremy, 8:55 AM

I am now back at Word of Life Bible Institute, which means back to a nice busy schedule! Basketball try-outs were this week. I am very sore from that, and a little tired. As far as making the team, I don't know yet. The first cut list was supposed to be up today but I never saw it. At least by Tuesday the final cuts will be done because that is when the first practice is!
Also, I did more transportation runs for them this weekend to Albany. It is difficult for quite a few students to get in, but hopefully it will all work out.
Well, got to go! - Jeremy, 9:49 PM

Ugh... I have been under the weather these past few days. One good this about relaxing around home is that I found time to update my photo gallery. Check out the pictures from WOL Ranch 2001! - Jeremy, 8:11 PM

The summer at WOL Ranch is over... and my break before school starts is already one third over!
I am working as much as I can to help my "financial situation". Not much of a break per se, but it's great being home and with my family. I guess that is all I have to say right now... I am still trying to find time to update my photo gallery! Stay tuned... - Jeremy, 9:23 PM

Only two more weeks and a few days! This summer is flying by, and I am still doing great... yesterday I was under the weather for the first time, but my co-counselors picked up alot of the slack so I could rest (thanks Mike and Simon!). I am feeling alot better today. Tuesday was my day off this week, and I went to Split Rock again. It was pretty cool, except for the other people that were hanging out there (not from WOL). After that we just hung around Rob's house which is in Schroon Lake and played volleyball and had a little cook-out. It was very relaxing...
Well, one of these days I will find the time to upload alot of pictures to my site from the Ranch. Until then, you can dig thru the ones that the staff here is taking. If you look close, you can find some of me. The address is http://www.gospelcom.net/wol/camps/ranch/gallery.php Hint: I play some in the "Big Bronco Basketball Game", and some of the cabins I have been in are: Arrow, Mustang, and Brumby, twice.
That's all for now... drop me a line and let me know how you are doing, or sign the guestbook! - Jeremy, 11:36 AM

Hello everyone! I have no idea if any even checks this any more, especially since I have not updated it in forever again! Anyway, I am in my third week of counseling 12 to 14 year olds. It is really good, I am learning alot and having a great time... It's definitely not easy at all, but it's so awesome to see the guys (well, most of them) either grow in the Lord or get saved! This week (so far!), five out of nineteen guys in our cabin got saved. It is so rewarding knowing that God is using me to help this kids.
Today on my day off I went to a small lake about 12 miles away with some friends... it was about a 1/2 mile hike there, and then we went off the beaten path all the way around it. It was really cool, but not tempature wise... this week has been very humid and hot.
Well, I should probably go do some laundry and stuff. I will try and update this more often, too... it might help if I knew people were reading it! (hint, hint).... - Jeremy, 3:35 PM

The campers have arrived at the Word of Life Ranch! This week is Week 1 of 8 that I will be working either as a counselor or, like I am doing this week - transportation. I have made several trips now to the airport in Albany, which is an hour and a half away. While working transportation, I also have to shuttle people back and forth from the Island boat dock to the Ranch. Also, I take people to various health centers in the area, and run miscellaneous errands here and there (mostly w-a-y over there, since there is not much in this area!). Anyway, I am having a great time, and I can't wait to start counseling... and once I have done that for awhile, I am sure I will want to be doing transportation again! :-)
Today is my day off, so I caught up on my emails, did some laundry, and went to Split Rock with some friends... Split Rock is a waterfall about a half hour north of here. It is really cool... and cold! We climbed on the rocks and even jumped into the river at the bottom of the falls. Some people there were jumping right next to the falls, but I didn't think that was too safe... it was fun, though...
There is one thing I haven't done yet today... taken a nap! Until next week....
