Holy Shit. I just got into a car accident while leaving work. My car is totalled and, oh yeah, I'm okay. I called my parents to come get me. Since they live 45 minutes away, I'm going to be stuck at work until then. Shitshitshit. I was shaking so bad when I gave the officer my information. I'm still shaking pretty bad.

He's gonna be okay.

At least that's what my brother (stationed in Saudi Arabia with the Navy) tells me. He called me last night and explained that, no, he would not be fighting in the war - he may be staying in Saudi for another year, but at least he won't be fighting. It could be that he has to miss the wedding and if it keeps him out of Afghanistan, then I can handle that.

Somehow I managed to make it through my sleep without nightmares, but I still feel dread and terror when awake. Can anyone put words to what happened yesterday? Can anyone feel at peace in a time of chaos? I watched nearly 15 hours of the coverage, afraid of what I saw, afraid to look away. Yesterday truly was the most awful day of my life.

Yiiipie! Erik and I got approved to live in Louisiana Oaks! This is the apartment we wanted. They have a T1 connection and programmable keys! Of course, we don't move in until December.

Wow, planning a wedding makes you plum crazy. I just spent $40 on Lilac Glass Gems for the wedding decorating. Saturday I spent another $50 on ribbon. The sad thing is, who's gonna notice?!
