Wine recipe for central Iowa white grapes
Mom has asked me to look on the internet for a wine making recipe for her white grapes. I found conflicting information on the internet. One wesite says that you have to re-hydrate the yeast (mix it with water), but another website said don't bother. There are alot more recipes for wine made from fruit juices than there are for wine from home grown grapes.

Here is a simple description of how wine is made. There is another website on the basic process of home winemaking. Another illustration of the basic process.
From a different website, Pictures of a home wine making process. Many people buy the juice. Mom and dad have their own grapes.

Basic winemaking procedures for fine wines from fresh grapes

I noticed that there is a winery in Indianola called Summersett Inn and Winery. According to their website calendar, they plan to have a one year winery anniversay in October.
