Here's the proper funny link Spike sent me. There was going to be more here, but there isn't so just watch this space until something more appears. Friday, August 24, 2001
Spike sent me this link, but either he hasn't been there and just liked the name, or he's trying to tell me something. I did take the quiz on the site about being happy or miserable in your relationship, and the results were not altogether unsurprising. The questions were funny, though. "In physical intimacy, my lover is the obese glutton in the v-neck t-shirt with spaghetti sauce stains on the front, and I am just the buffet table waiting for the salad tongs." Hee hee. That one was so funny I couldn't stop laughing. My other favorite was: "During sex, I feel more like a blow up doll with a valid driver's license." Again, hee hee hee hee hee hee. Funny stuff. I think I'm going to take more quizzes. I like quizzes. I did go out last night and while I didn't think I was going to have a fabulous time, it was still rather disappointing. Quick quick blogging before I head off to work. Last night I watched the two hour season finale of Six Feet Under and of course, I wasn't disappointed by how good it is. *SPOILER* I think I have the disease that Nate, the eldest son, has. No foolin'. Anyway, I might be going to The Earl tonight to see a friend's band. I didn't really promise to go, but I said something like, "Wow, that sounds interesting." Apparently that translated to them as meaning: "Sure, I will be one of the only people that will come out on a week night to see your band play." I dunno. I mean, I work the morning shift tomorrow and while I wouldn't be coming in with a hangover (no drinking or caffeine on the antibiotics), I would be coming in sleepy. Admittedly I could snooze the afternoon, but what if there's something I have to do? And that's the other thing. These antibiotics suck. I have to eat when I take them. That ruins my whole schedule. I hate eating in the morning. I prefer to starve until early afternoon. The painkillers haven't let me down--well, they did last night. But oh well. I just incorporated a new slang term into my vocabulary. Macking;(v) to kiss passionately. To mack on; (v) to flirt with heavily. I like that. Wednesday, August 22, 2001
I think I should apologize for unfair, ahem, name-calling on here that was brought to my attention not too long ago. But since I don't know how to say I'm sorry and mean it half the time (genetic defect, swear to God), I'll let this do it for me. Unfortunately, I wish I could say I won't do it again, but.......I can't. Gah. That was shitty, wasn't it? Tuesday, July 31, 2001
Shock and surprise, the other shoe has dropped. Maybe they'll start listening to me now when I tell them, "I told you it wouldn't last, he has to revert back to being an asshole sooner or later, or else his whole identity structure fails." I love it when I'm right about a person. By the way, I have no links of interest for this blog entry. Monday, July 30, 2001
I am a dork. I am a big big dork. Guess what? Dragon*Con's coming. Harlan Ellison is going to be there. Harlan. Ellison. Harlan. Ellison!!!! As well as some others I adore. Oh yeah, and The Host will be there. The. Host. (Angel fans, you know what I'm talking about.) Gah!!!! My geekiness kills me!!!!!
So, basically, hell has frozen over. And as for my weekend....when I wasn't working and making snide little jokes with co-workers, I was at Dad's Garage being a theater whore. Action Movie 2: Episode 1 was amazingly achingly funny. Especially the puppet. And then I went to see At Home with the Nixons, which was what I can always expect, and that is this: weird, bizarre, funny, and did I mention weird? For those of you in the Atlanta area, you should do yourself a favor and go see it. Showtimes are late on weekends, so that way the night owls can have something to gab about in the bars afterwards. I guess I'm still trucking on with my show. Lord knows the limits of my patience are being tested. But we did a show last night and it almost felt like the real thing. I'm sleepy and I dunno know why. Thursday, July 19, 2001
My new favorite song of the summer is by this band. And Jamie Hewlett, who's responsible for drawing this famous girl, is behind the animation. And a note to all my UK friends, here in America, it takes us a while to actually catch on to these things. |
