I am heart-broken about all this week's events of course, and when I read
your message I fervently hoped your office would be OK. Now we know that
building has collapsed also. I am particularly touched by your loss of your
family treasure , but to tell the truth, I envy that you at least had scanned
the precious page(s). At least that was lucky! You will always have the
memory, which is what really matters...

I still remember seeing a similar page in my grandmother's beautiful family
siddur (from Vienna) when I was a child, but the whole book disappeared years
ago--- without a trace.

It is terribly hard to cope with so much loss; I know how disconcerting the
loss of your office/ work-place can be, and I hope you can get suitably
re-located and pick up the threads of life again.

I send you -- and all who've gone through this tragedy- my very best
thoughts and wishes for peace for all of us in the world.
