matters of little or no significance

blah blah blah. no news to report. last week I went to Greens twice (the gym). I can't really spend 2 hours in a gym. Work is stressful. The weather is getting cooler. I'm in a pattern, life has stabilized somewhat. The beginning of next week might be a little more stressful.

I'm glad to see that things haven't changed much in Chappaqua.

I've been in England for a month now and seen only 3 or 4 days of rain.

back in London. That week was better than previous two. My hotel room was very nice, I went to a beautiful state-of-the-art gym on Thursday night, for only £5 a visit if we show our hotel key. I road on the stationary bicycle for 40 min and took a 90 min yoga class. The yoga class was actually pretty easy and basic, geared towards relaxing.

After working like a dog for the past three weeks, I started to hear good things.

Simon is busy saying good-bye to his friends, so I have to fend for myself today. I am going to try to find my way to the V&A museum.

i did get to the 'backs' last night for a nice pint of beer by the river with the infamous James and Keith, creative directors at Q, along with Helen and Jason. We went to dinner at a great scottish fish restaurant, Loch Fyne, where everyone tried to convince me that the french invented jazz.

i'm at the Kensington High Street easyeverything, so things should go ok.

yesterday Simon took me to braziers, a beautiful country estate in oxfordshire where both Ian Fleming and Marianne Faithfull grew up. It's now a college and 'experiment in collective living' and every year they have a workshop for artists to come and live for two weeks and make some pieces and exhibit them at the end. Everyone at the viewing seemed to know everyone else, and it was more like a very cool garden party than an art opening. It was rainy and misty and lovely and romantic.

One piece involved three white stallions in a field with 'bureaucracy' spelled out in hay bales, which the horses started eating.

Another was a small outbuilding with snails and matchsticks placed around the inside in patterns.

Simon's friend Keran gilded some broken shards of pottery and put them in a rubbish pile which he put a surveillance camera on so you could view them on a tv that was in a sink in another little outbuilding.

i don't know what i would do without simon!
