Hmm...I got an 80/20 on the quiz. Maybe we should analyze this a little closer...

I took an online quiz for what sort of couple we are. I somehow managed to score us an even 50/50. Maybe the James should take it. I wasn't sure how to answer some of the questions, so it would be interesting to see what he thinks.

I'd just like to clarify that the guy that the James mentions below, who is supposedly famous, did not wink at me. He smiled. But I didn't think anything of it, because I figured he was just being polite, since we had accidently made eye contact and all.
We have been playing a lot of Dance Dance Revolution. It is the Battletech of the year 2001! It is even good for people who don't normally dance! (For example, see: the James).

Perhaps I should update more than once every six months. Well, where to begin...
There's a lot I could go with: closure of old job site, new job, new friends, new hobbies involving lots of dance dance revolution (DDR), and plenty of other things. Hrm...I think we'll go with something sports-related, since I don't think anyone cares for sports stuff. Great idea!
Anyway, we were playing DDR at Illusionz on Tuesday night, when I noticed Nate McMillan walk in with a little girl (probably his daughter). He walked around the arcade for a bit, and then proceeded to watch the girl and her sister play DDR 4th mix. He seemed pretty fascinated by it all, and apparently made eye contact with the girl and winked at her as he left the place. Nate McMillan!
Now, before I continue, I would like to ask how many of you know who Nate McMillan is. I'll give you all a clue. He coaches a Seattle basketball team called the Supersonics. That's right! (well, for those of you who know who the Supersonics are) And he was at Illusionz! And so was I!! Nate McMillan!!!
The girl, of course, did not share my enthusiasm when I related such to her.
Hmm...maybe I'll talk about something that will spark conversation in others next time, rather than collective head-scratching and a series of vacuous looks.

We haven't been doing very well with this whole updating thing. But there were the holidays and then there was a very busy time at werk, and then there was a death in the family.
The thing about the death in the family is that the James had to come with me to the funeral, and it was also the first time he had met many of my relatives. It was just a weird situation to say, "I'm really sorry about this, and by the way, have you met my husband?" It was a stressful weekend.
Now I'm catching up on missed sleep from the holidays and this last weekend. Also, we have Bry staying with us! He is tall. And also, tall. He's also pretty funny.
Last night, we actually entertained people at our apartment, where I made dinner and we hung out and talked and played a game and were generally adult-like. It was weird; I don't feel like an adult.

I was asked yesterday what married life is like. The answer I gave them required some thought on my part, because I really hadn't taken stock of what married life was like before. Granted, we've only been married for three months and eleven days, but that's beside the point. I hadn't thought about it because I was simply living it.
But I digress.
The answer I gave to my captive audience (after some thought, as I mentioned) was that it has been nothing short of wonderful. Surprised by the lack of marriage horror stories, my interrogators pressed me for more details. I told them that it came down to meeting the right person at the right time, and that we were extremely lucky.
I imagined a collective, wistful sigh coming from the females of the group, wishing that they had what we share.
Or maybe they were gagging on my sugary sweetness.

I read this story on this site and immediately thought of arm chunks:
"I was riding Space Mountain (at Disneyland) with my sister and all of a sudden, half-way through the ride, our rocket stopped. All of the
lights turned on and we got to see what the track looks like. Then they announced that the computer was malfunctioning and that we would
have to wait about 20 minutes for the computer to reboot (start up again).
"So we waited and about 35 minutes later, a cast member
approached our rocket and instructed us to "hang on tight and don't look up". Then he gave our rocket a push and we were off. I could tell that
we were going much faster than usual and what was really scary was that we could see the track above our heads and the cross beams looked
like they were going to hit us.
"Well, we finally got back to the boarding area and they asked us if we wanted to ride again and everyone in the
car did, so we went again. This time, just after the first drop, we stopped. The lights turned on again and this time I took some pictures. 20
minutes later, 2 cast members came and pushed our car again. This time it was alot scarier. At the top, right when you are circling the
bottom of that giant, orange, light up orb thing, there is one point at which the track looks like it is only 6 inches above your head. When we
got there, like 5 people in our rocket screamed. Then everyone else started laughing. It was so much fun and you could tell that everyone in
the rocket was really scared.
"When we got to the bottom, 4 people did not want to go again, so they got out and four people that were in line got in. This time everything went okay, but to this day, I never put my hands up in Space Mountain at all."
I may never ride Space Mountain again.

The girl plays a touch screen game called mah jongg, where she matches the pairs at super speed. Watching her play reminds me of an anime character doing the 'hundred finger death touch' or some other such move.
The moral of this story is, if you make her angry and she has her index fingers out, run.

What the girl hears is often very amusing when compared to what was said. Case in point:
What was said:
Felix: We didn't get any loot last time.
Me: Sorry about that. I'll get you guys more loot next time.
Now, add the word lube where the loot is currently.
Draw your own conclusions.

Yeah, the voicemail totally sucks. I did manage to skip through everything, but I had to sit and wait the million years for the automated voice to tell me how to do it.
As for the Evangelion guys, I have one question: what were they smoking?
