I wish I had a link to it somewhere, but has anybody seen those commericals for the cds of hit songs like "Bye Bye Bye" sung by an adult lead with little kids as backup singers? It's creepy. Especially when you consider that one of the songs is Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight" (I am sure there are other eyebrow raisers), which is feasibly about losing one's virginity.

Maybe (hopefully?) they change some of the lyrics around?

David saunters in to the Ticketmaster Tori Amos pre-sale 2 hours before it closes expecting to be delighted by his choice of seats. I can't even find friggin 2 seats next to each other.

The password is GIRLS by the way.

It still seems unreal.

Today on the radio they played "Stuck in a Moment" from U2 with snippits from the news. I still haven't decided if it is totally exploitative or touching.

I will wait before I thank my postcard people just in case they're late. But thanks. So far, they have not failed to make me smile!

just in time to say happy birthday to myself. :)

thank you to everybody who sent birthday wishes via email or snail or through various vibal psychic thought. I will get to all of you tomorrow after I deal with what I have to deal with tonight. :)

and something more personal. this i scribbled on a napkin [in order to show off to someone...ahem, yes not great, but sort of ironic, since it's a napkin, ahem. um. yeah]:

the best things always are
thrown away with the trash
and almost always
accidentally
hmmmm
circle
games
feel so
strange
don't they

happy birthday. :)

also I was wondering if anybody out there knows somebody who reads their blog who doesn't blog themselves (i.e. random third party, best friend, guy down the street, etc). the thought of someone I know reading some of this scares the hell out of me. but we need to be scared sometimes.

nite

Rule #1 of a Reality Game Show:

Hunks never win. Colby Donaldson, Joel Klug, and now Hardy Hill. The hunk (with the exception of Colby) are often seen as arrogant and major threats, and therefore must be eliminated.

Addendum: On the Weakest Link a few weeks ago, the winners of Fear Factor had a special contest. They eliminated, very suspiciously in reverse order of cute-ness (i.e. cutest went first). How lame is that!

Went to a doc today, who like conned me out of my $5 co-pay.

First time I have seen a doctor since I was like 18. All he did was remind me to check for testicular cancer, stay away from drugs, listen to my lungs, listen to my heart, squeeze my ankle (huh), and let me go.

And I shaved [my body] for him and everything!

Okay, not really. :)

It seems more real if the embattered wives of politicians who sleep around would lash out in some way rather than keep their composure. It just feels too fake - like they are using their politicians for some gain - if they don't. If anything, it makes me, as a voter, more suspicious, than if she were to stick around for his political career.

Doesn't Condit look like a ghost, or a skeleton from the beginning of "The Pirates of the Carribean" ride at Disneyland?

If you feel so inclined, you can send me a birthday postcard at

David Salazar
PO Box 26120
Fresno CA 93729

My birthday is Saturday. Kick ass!

Every postcard sent to me gets a postcard back. Yes this is a sad cry for validation.

If you have extra dough, you can send me a Xander toy, too.

I've been having a lot of violent/comic-book/videogame ish dreams. I don't know if this is because I am low on ammo in the new Resident Evil or because I have created the ultimate idea (well, IMO) for a Silent Hill movie, but it's been happening a lot. One dream featured me looking for a map (which I eventually got just asking somebody) and encountering a baddie who I told I would not kill, but he made a face that said "you better kill me."

Last night's featured me being chased in the parking lot of a mall by a man in a long jacket. However, I was controlling myself with a video game controller (or some such remote control), while at the same time realizing it was me jumping from rope to rope in the parking lot.

Totally unrelated, I think I am over being pee-shy, and I think that is more than you need to know.
