I'm posting this from Cracked's desk, so you'll understand if this looks like his handy work. Then again, Cracked never posts, so you wouldn't expect it to be him. So the US is burning down, while I'm kicking back, drinking my Cafe Mocha. Too much will be said on today's events later, so I wouldn't presume to waste your time by posting on it now.

Perhaps we should put thequietstorm.org domain name up for sale? Discuss.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
I know I have never mentioned it on here but I am a HUGE James Bond fan. Longer than I was an Al Hitchcock fan in fact. Who is better? Well tough question. The quality of the Hitchcock work is definately better however the Bond films have a quality that just makes you love them. They are mostly great films too. A few might say some suck such as the one I provided the link to however I have to disagree. The music in this film is probably the best bond music ever. Not to mention it had Diana Rigg in it and she is super hot. Probably the best Bond girl ever. Especially considering she married him. This movie has a lot of redeeming qualities including a fantastic setting and some very good ski scenes and stunts. Yes George Lazenby is not very beleivable as Bond I can admit that. As a true fan of Bond though I wouldn't change this film at all. It has a niche and I just love it. It adds variety to the soon to be 20 strong film base and those naysayers should consider that. If every Bond was exactly the same who would keep wathing them? They are enough alike as it is. OHMSS was a curve ball and a cool one. There is my peace on that.

So you ever go shopping and you can't find anything you are looking for? I wanted to buy a copy of Lolita soundtrack as well as some Bob Frishberg albums today whilst I was in Portland.

Record Town (now called Nye)..nope
Borders....nope
Strawberries...nope
Bull Moose...nope

I mean it was awful. I also wanted a book at Borders that is well known and can you believe they didn't have it? I find that hard to believe when you see the size of the store but this guy has written like 20 books and they didn't have even one of them. Unreal! So that trip essentially sucked. I never get to go to Portland anymore so it kinda sucked even more.

Well I hope all had a good weekend and I wanted to say to Harmonic that I hope he is better soon. To Moe (the wop) I hope you had a nice little rest, To Roosevelt.. you sounded great even in that sucky room. Damn Wendy was hot. To Cracked.. I hope nothing got stolen. See you all later.

Time Requires An Argument
I think the real question for Billy Rhythm (only one "Y" Mr. GW) is what kind of search were you performing on ebay that would bring you to a kangaroo scrotum? Just what kind of search gives those resultes?

Great post Dake. And you're right! I should've mentioned that all you guys came to see me cavort as Billy Rhythm. Crazy Phat Drum Totin' props to Dake, Moe, H.D. and The Bagman. (As a side note: the Bagman's stuff at Cafe Press, while not being too visually inspiring, sure is funny!)

Hey so like loads of crap going on so strap in Louise. This is going to be a long one.

So in the last few weeks I have decided to take my good friend Moe's advice and take time to watch all of the Kevin Smith Films
A View AskewProductions
Let's just say I haven't been dissapointed. They are very entertaining and very funny. Moe told me I might not like Dogma (apparently he mistook me for being Catholic) however I thought it was a hoot. I was interested in seeing how they portrayed God. While they stretched artistic licence to the limit for sure they didn't portray God in a negative or derogatory way. In fact the scene were God makes all the death and destruction perfect again in a split second is rather touching I think. I think that movie gave athiests as much to think about as believers. I thought Mallrats was great. I can't agree with the video store guy though that it was the best film. I think the TS charachter reminded me a bit too much of Joey Lawrence. They could have ditched him. Other than that it was great. Chasing Amy was incredibly good. While the content was fairly graphic it was very touching and in the end a classic tale of love lost. I have yet to see Clerks however Harmonic has said we should get it tonight. I hope the video store has it when get go for it.

So last weekend here is how the schedule goes. Work saturday 9 to 12 at MIS. 12:30 to 7pm work at PG. Go home and die for a few mins then jump in the shower and get ready to go see Roosevelt be Billy Rhythm. 8pm leave for Sea Dawg. Get home about 1:30ish am.
Sunday sleep a little late and then get up and recover. Call Moe and get him out of bed. Hop in car and drive a freaking long way to Rangely getting Moe on the way. Get home about 11:30 that night. Outside of sleep I wasn't home at all. This weekend promises to be about the same. More on that later.

So last Saturday night at the Sea Dog was a howl. Let me just say this Blind Al was great and Billy Rhythm was ON. He said he stunk but that just reaffirms what I have always said. All his taste is in his music professors mouth. No that wasn't a gay connotation. He was great and many people told him so. Maybe he just doesn't know what great is. I find it ironic that so many people went to see him and nary a mention on his Blog. Isn't he always crowing about not getting props? If you want to get props you gotta give um my friend. We came and stayed till the end and cheered at every number. I think that is props worthy. Damn we even carried his stuff out for him and helped him pack up. I might also mention that even the bagman came along for the ride. Even he was cool this night. That really is something.

So Harmonic is a riot. We had a lot of fun watching him dance and just be himself. He had a great story of what happened to him later that I will let him tell. Let's just say it was a night to remember. The weekend before Roosevelt, Harmonic, Cracked and ole Dake when out and had a blast too. It was an early night that night but a good one nonetheless. I think it is important for friends to get together.

So the next day Moe and myself...Dake(in case you forgot at chapter 14 who is telling this story) headed to Rangeley. We went to meet this German gal friend of mine and now Moe's. It was something to do ok! Yeah so Moe didn't want to go at first but he changed his mind and I am glad he did. It was actually a lot of fun. This place was so freakin fur out you just woudln't believe it. This is the place we went to Grant's Kennebago Camps That is where she is working. As of the writing of this letter she is probably flying home. She had an issue with her work visa and she had to return home early. She was pretty upset about it. At any rate she was very cute and she was an excellent hostess. She took us on a boat ride up the lake to a secluded beach and...(text lost in transfer).... and when we left I was really thirsty. It was like I had been drained dry. Moe wasn't thristy. So we took the boat back to the camp and had a drink and then decided to leave. I took some snaps and we were off. As we got back to the road (9 freakin miles on a dirt road to get out of this place) we got to the controlled gate that wasn't supposed to close for another hour. Oops it was closing NOW. We just made it. We saw some deer on the way out but Moe wasn't good enough with the camera to take a photo of it. Oh well. He tried. I give him credit for that.

So this weekend is set to be another busy one. Supposed to see the latest Kevin Smith movie tonight as well as Clerks as I previously mentioned. Should be fun. Tommorow I have to work and then a little get together. Then sunday I have the company picnic all day. All good stuff. Just keeps you busy.

Thought I would drop in since I never post here. I rarely post to my own site. I am lazy. It is late friday, early saturday. I think I am going to to make some BLT's. Yummy. Rosevelt knows what I talking about. Rosevelt is one of a very select few people that I know, who likes food that is really bad for you, as much as I do.
hehe. Hhmmm, scrambled eggs cooked in sausage grease. Give me a fat stogy, a pint of Guinness and a big ole juicy steak. "I'm in heaven, heaven"
Anywho, going to go hang with the in-laws tomorrow night, dinner and a movie. Then I am heading to the Sea Dog in Camden to see the Billy Rhythm Band, oops, err, I mean the Blind Albert Band. Should be lots of fun.
