Not that they would believe me, but I did not like them blaming me for spamming their guestbook. Even though I might love to take credit for such actions, I did no such thing. I've been to busy to fool with such nonsense concerning them, and this will be the last time that I do, no matter whether or not they choose to respond to this nothingness. I just don't like them throwing blame on me, more than likely because they couldn't think of anything else to say about me since the last time we danced. Fuck them all.

I leave at 12 PM tomorrow. I am not sure when my next update will be... Shame, since I had actually started to get back into the whole swing of updating. More than I had been for the majority of the summer, anyway.
I got an e-mail from Grace replying to the post I made early this morning. Everything is ok with her, to an extent. Just the normal layout trouble. Damn creativity blocks.
Mmmm... Looks as though Andy came up with a new one. In some ways, I am glad - his last layout is gorgeous, but I have never been too favorable to layouts that include celebrities. It was very pretty, and elegant, but the change to something more personal is good. In my opinion, anywho.
Also, I am still not sure what is going on over at spoken.unpretty.net and connie.unpretty.net. They both have "away" messages of sorts. I wonder what's happening? Hopefully all is well.

Sometimes it's remarkable how certain people actually carry an arrogance with them. I was reading in my comments from this post, and there was actually someone telling me to watch what I say about certain individuals. Acting as if there was something to be afraid of in that comment, in that suggestion. As if they're full of evil and mystery and puppy dog tails. Fuck if I care, bring it on. They should just be warned that I probably won't even have the time to read what they have written as I will be moving on with my life at college, while they are still struggling to gain links by dispensing filth.
Blah, I'm not gonna win. Good luck to those that do, though! :)

Vote for me! :) Hmm... Guess what I did? I finally faced up to that promise I made sometime in February about "expanding" this layout. The best part about the current layout here is that it's changeable - like those watches that come with different colored face rings so you can change them whenever you want. In a spur of the moment act, I decided to finally upload the "pink" layout layover. I didn't like it as much as the others when I first released this layout, and I still really don't like it much. It wasn't ready and just waiting to be uploaded; I did have to put everything together. I could have just took the time to make others that I might like better, and I think I will eventually, but, I figured, since this layout is already pulling it's 6th month, I might as well put out something now to freshen it up. I have two other layouts lined up after this one... Ones that I never finished for one reason or another. I hate running into difficulty during layouts. I need to get my creative juices flowing. That is what I am going to school for, after all.
But anyway... Keep refreshing until you see some pink!
Golly goodness! Apparently Lauren punched in my address for their version of a people's choice award. It got me thinking that I don't really remember this domain ever winning any type of contest or award. I am not even sure if it has been entered in anything before. Not that I remember, anyway. 2 years is a long time to try to keep tabs on such things... But, I would adore anyone who voted for me. I'll spot you a link if you tell me you did! Heh, yeah, and we know I get so much traffic now that I have basically stopped updating. Blah. I plan on getting my numbers back up to 150... I was just checking my counter this afternoon by chance. What a nice surprise. Thank you, Lauren.
I've been so busy recently. I was half waiting for that particular individual from below to come back at me, but apparently, they have lost interest in me. I would like to think that it had something to do with something I said, but I suppose it would more than likely be credited to me not acting like others they have involved themselves with. As in, I actually spoke back to them, rather than just throwing insults in an effort to run them off. Whatever I did, it worked. I like conflict up to a certain point. That, on the other hand, was not my pot of fucking tea.

This is slightly late to announce, but Sara has a smashing new layout up. I wish I could crank them out like she can... Then I wouldn't be having such trouble right now. =-/
I added a little comment script. Wow. Thanks bunches to Gary for the help. :)

I did not have time to announce this yesterday, but there is a new hostee, Andy. I came to hosting him because, apparently, Theophania.net needed space on the domain. And damn if she didn't take the space, too. But anyway. I'm glad to have him here. (I'll update the hosting links in the afternoon, when I have more time.)
The other reason for the lack of updates is the fact that I will be in college in a week. A week from today, exactly. From now on, I am going to do my best to get back into my habits of making updates about layouts and those pesky hosting submissions I have been getting... They have indeed taken a downhill fall, so it's about time I refresh everyone's memories about my small tolerance to annoyance, I suppose. If that ability hasn't melted in the recent heat wave, that is. I feel so shot.
To think someone could actually think more of themselves than I do. It's a different situation when it is provoked. However, when someone is simply out to maliciously bash and verbally disembowel an individual to derive some sick from of satisfaction, in hopes to spawn popularity, it shows form of an undeveloped psyche. Although, it simply amazes me the air of arrogance these individuals can carry - a haze so thick that they would actually call their tart brain candy an "attempted homicide." These individuals would also have high hopes in seeing a person such as me respond to their volumes of impurity personally, trying to save face by launching a barrage of childish insults. I, however, will not succumb to his desired expectations. I will comment, though, that the imposed "rape of the whore" did not phase me as he might have wished it would. I'm sure he would be upset to discover that I am female, not the male subject with the dick to suck he was probably expecting. But enough of the funny stuff.
In response to the latest trend, and the 3rd e-mail I've had to do in the last week and a 1/2, here's a response I decided to actually post:
"#92: Araya
You are such a bitch. Just be nice, and people will love you! You're a terrific artist, and designer. Why all the meaness? I think you are just a little girl looking for some attention. Please fuck off, and give your head a swirley in the potty. ASAP. Thanks! :)"
Now, I read this post in my guestbook. I seem to be getting a lot of comments like this - even though I can't help but assume that they're just trying to be like the girl, Brandi, that I spoke of on my site. But for the moment, I'm going to try to give her a little more credit than that.
So, I ask, WHERE exactly on my site was I being "mean"? I'm not saying that I never am - I get understandably angry when I warn people not to do something, but they proceeded to do it anyway. That's called cause and effect. Whenever I read guestbook entries like yours, I am left puzzled. I mean, obviously it's your first time visiting my site. But, then, when you look at my most recent content on my site, it's me DEFENDING myself against other people like you! And then, I still continue to get posts like "you're so mean!" in my innocent guestbook. Well, no, I guess my words would not exactly be encouraging when someone is throwing childish names and trying to get their shits and giggles by insulting me. Are you trying to contribute to the problem? Honestly, if there was anyone between the two of us who was a bitch, I'm afraid there is no credible evidence that I am the culprit.
So, I suppose I'll ask the obvious question: what exactly triggered your pointless outburst? Was it the content I mentioned above, the warning message of my guestbook, the urge to be like everyone else, or reading past entries I made without fully understanding why they were there? Or possibly because you might have read something about me on someone else's site, and decided to try to ruffle my feathers without really even knowing or caring who I was? Then that makes you foolish, because if I was a bitch, I would enjoy the opportunity to respond to you.
I also noticed you do not have a site of your own, or were too afraid to leave the URL. Since you think you are so high and mighty, you should try having a web page of your own before you proceed to try to knock those who do. It's not exactly easy to continuously keep getting contacted by people like you. In truth, it does not matter how I act, or how nice or fake I make myself out to be. If you do not like how I choose to mold my content, then I do not want you visiting my site. There are millions of perfectly happy and poppy sites out there - go spend your time at those. Because, there is nothing you can say that will make me change my ways. I'm sure you've gotten a lot of progress out of other individuals by calling them a bitch, but I'm afraid it had the opposite effect on me.
My impression of you: your head is full of nothingness, and your remedies to boredom are far beyond pathetic and uncalled for.
Just be quiet, and people will love you! You are not funny. And neither am I.
Hold on one mother fucking second. In a spout of curiosity, I decided I would finally get around to reading the guestbook entries I received for this domain while I was on vacation. As I was reading, I was noticing some references to someone having said something about me... Something that obviously did not qualify as praise. I read on, and found this angry individual:
#64: Brandi
gosh...you can be so bitchy. what is your problem? be nice to people, yeesh. no wonder so many people talk bad about you. if you're nice then they will be nice back. sure, you can design a freaking web site, but you might want to try being nice to people. it would make your site more enjoyable. hey, if all you are going to leave in your guestbook is the "nice and fun to read" comments, shit..that says something right there, does it not? i don't feel like emailing you because i'd rather have other people read what i am telling you. if i want to email you, damnit i will do it on my own. no need to tell me to. goodness... p.s. i'm not scared to give you my email, that is why i posted it above. are you scared to write me back? HuH? goody. i'll be awaiting a response from your "very very nice" self. enjoy your day.
You see, even though the majority of the people who write such things are doing so on careless whims (like being set off by a disclaimer to a guestbook that makes perfect sense, but yet they didn't like for whatever anal reasoning they could conjure up) I still feel it necessary to spend my time trying to correct such faulty assumptions of my manner. Mainly because I don't like stupidity to be my company. But, you see, I am not really a mean person. I state exactly what I expect of people, and their actions that would involve me. It's when they proceed to taunt or ignore such given warnings that I take it as my full right to kick up some dust.
For one, I am not really sure that the person above was really referring to. In the last couple months, I have been going through quite a dry spell when it comes to things that I have been able to let loose my anger upon. Hopefully she is not referring to my recent explosion about the person who sent me an e-mail chopped full of crude, childish insults. I would hope not, for her intelligence's sake. In reality, I have never heard anyone "talk bad" about me. If they had, I wish I could have read it. I might have been able to draw some good humor from it, and possibly be able to produce another response such as this one. This is fun to me, you see. And since it is MY site, and since people ARE dumb enough to repeat the same annoying behavior over and over again (thank, you, Brandi) I don't see how people think they have room to question me. This is my territory, and I don't think I gave permission for such openness.
I honestly don't see how being "nice" would make me more enjoyable... Mainly because, I already am nice. Just because you thought you could visit my domain and read a frew paragraphs of my writing and be able to come to the inevitable conclusion that I am a wench, does not mean that you are correct. If you think this is all the effort that needs to be put into deciding someone's character, then you are the stereotypical product of America's lazy society. Doing nothing, but yet gaining something. But spiking me with tough girl comments is not the best way to deal most anybody.
In another tribute to the fact that I am a nice person, that is the reason why I like having only the questbook entries I want in MY guestbook. That excludes anything negative, which is more than likely been said in hopes to make me feel bad about myself. Who wants to read horrible cry babies scream and whine and try to make me feel like shit? In fucking reality, who in the world wants to be staring at that all day? Some people need such a harsh reality to keep them grounded. I, on the other hand, am not that disturbed. So, excuse me while I try to keep a good self confidence, despite the attempts of others.
Goodness, you must have thought me a chicken shit to have taken this long to respond... I'm sorry, but I was out living my life with my friends. Not trying to pick fights on a battle field that I have no right to be stepping upon... If you want a nice, happy little web page full of good comments and visions of sugar plums, take your know-it-all attitude and conjure up one yourself. Then, once you have dealed with a couple onlookers like yourself, with their snotty requests and unneeded suggestions, we can speak on a more leveled plane.
Sorry for the extreme lack of updates. Those who visit my online journal know I have been in southern Florida for the past week and a 1/2 for beach week, compounded with the fact that I had graduation and tons of senior crap in the weeks before that. Things should slow down for me now that I am home for a little while.
Anyway. There have been many new layouts by the residences, but I don't think I'm going to post about them. Linking them is a lot more useful and special when I only do it on at a time. And plus, I'm still lazy as hell. Just be sure to visit every one of them.
The End.
Something that caught my interest:
name: Haha
url: Haha no this one, thankfully
description: You for one, are hardly a judge of 'good design and HTML skills' You're site is cluttered, and there is no focus. 'I do not have to check your HTML code' Do you think you're a teacher? Get over yourself, no one wants to be hosted by some hypocrite who can hardly garggle her own words. Pathetic, 18 year old scum. Go find solace off the net. Or is that why you are here?
Sometimes I wonder what people like the one above are really like. Are they always amazingly fast witted as the specimen above, complete with the sporadic punctuation and obvious inability to catch themes or think before they speak? Or, are these drops of genius a form of sexual thrill, with the lonely writer possibly touching themselves at the thought of making someone feel less. That theory would certainly explain the punctuation problem, as it is more difficult to type with one hand. One thing is for sure, their judgement of their victims is poor, since they always seem to go after the ones who are confident enough to know better than listen to someone who is too scared to leave a real e-mail address, or something as simple as a URL to prove they have room to speak. Do people this moronic honestly exist, or are they trying to make up for their basically empty lives with an exciting double life, lived online? Or are they the casual web surfer, who do not really understand anything about the web, but still feel they are just as much a part of it as the ones who give them the content to view? Did they have a goal in mind, when in reality, they would never know the result of their actions? If my site is so damn cluttered, do better. If they don't like me because of my youth, which probably due to the fact that I'm doing more than they ever could at this age, then they can take their prejudice and suck my dick. Solace. What a unique choice of words. Although I believe the last question was meant to be an insult, I would have to say, yes.
New hostee! I'm sorry this took so long to announce, since I think I have known about it since the 27th =-/ I did not even visit the site until this morning, which only shows how my attitude has changed about the internet and the little domain community. Was not that I didn't want to see it - I just didn't do anything about it. Chronic laziness. But, Sheli has a very classy site. As to be expected from the recent owner of 23hours.net.
I've sort of poofed into thin air for the past month, or so. I just... It's senior year. I'm working more. Things are either standing still, or moving so fast that everything but the now takes a back seat. I'm happy, in some weird way. I've been thinking of what I could possibly do with this domain... All I have interest in doing anymore is having my personal blog. I don't know what to do. I don't want another domain, and yet there is a big part of me that doesn't want to lose this one (and obviously this part of me is unaware of my dwindling funds.)
But, for the sake of updating, there have been some new layouts. Rhianna did a redesign, although, the layout does contain a picture of a celeberity. I was sort of waiting for it, because I knew from visiting her site for the previous year that she used them sometimes. Oh well, still looks nice. Ca3rine also pumped out something new, putting personal pictures into the layout in the special way that only she seems to know how. Andy and Andrea also uploaded something new.
Somebody please give me some options... I don't know what to do with this second life anymore...
I finally got around to updating the hostee listings on all of these pages (not that there are that many pages that needed to be updated... My current mood has really put a kink in the works.) In the updates department, I should announce that Anonymity is back from her college-adjusting break, with a new address (from unknowingly to spoken.unpretty.net). In addition to that, I believe a new layout popped up over here, here, and here as well. :) (And wow, might I add.)
If everything goes as planned, there should be another layout over at my personal site. Although, I would not expect any astronomical design formation from me. I have discovered my general pissy attitude about the internet is coming from the pressure of creating and doing more than I am really capable of. In some weird way, I have been able to top myself with every layout I have made over the past two years. Or, so it seems. And as I have been reaching the peaks of my ability, it has made me lose confidence in myself, and made me question whether I will be able to hone this hobby of mine into a career, when I already have one foot in the door toward this path. It's a unique type of fear when you start to feel weak under the one thing that has been supporting you. Like you're standing with the ticket to your life in one hand, and you're watching the train leave the station without you. I don't know, maybe it's hard to explain. It's more or less a combination of worries about college, money, being alone, work, and trips to Florida...
But anyway. Keep humble expectations of me, if you would, so maybe I could develop some for myself. I miss the feeling of knowing I outdid myself.
I don't want to do this anymore.
If you'll notice, two new hostees were added to the list (although, I am a little late as to announcing it.) They are Andrea and Connie. Two very different artistic approaches, and both very worth a visit. :)
... But how late was I to noticing it? :P
Hot damn! When did he do that? Hmm... apparently April 2nd. Ehh. Sorry Andy :P I love it - it's very trendy. (Meant in the nicest way possible, of course.)
"Chrisy, when are you returning from your break? I miss your blog entries & sarcasm over pple who ignored your hosting requirements."
Heh, I'm not really on a "break" break. It's only a slight break... As in, I'm not posting unless I have something to say, or need to. Not much has been going on... There should be two new hostees soon, which will be something to update about. Until then, I'm just hanging around. I'm updating my journal still... So I'm still sort of willingly active. Just not so much here.
Oohh... Found this in my referrals. I was one of the 5 newest... 2nd newest, to be exact. Although, I thought I was already added weeks ago? Oh well. An extra hit here and there doesn't hurt. It only boosts my ego. Especially when I've been neglecting this domain a little. I think I'm doing the stereotypical thing of "taking a slight break" from web pages, but I'm not going to do such an annoying thing as close down this site. I can't stand it when I see people do that. So over dramatic. I'm not going anywhere. I am capable of multitasking my life. Why do people make it so much harder than it really is?
<wipes excess off of mouth> YUM.
Mer's got something new to dish up. :)
Hmm. My recent disinterest in the internet caused me to miss Jessica's move over to Lindsay's domain.
You know, I don't even need to make any additional comments for this to sound more ridiculous than it already does.

Tried to sneak this one by me, eh. :) I may be late, but I won't completely miss announcing it.
I agree with the connection thing... I'm such an antisocial thing :P Unless someone has AIM or AOL, I am barley capable of keeping contact. With "internet friends" and hostees included. I don't even talk to my friends that live near on me online. I'm such a lazy cyber hoe.
New layout. :)
I made a history of all the layouts I've had up here. Yep, all three of them. Just slapped it on the old history page.
Everyone should go vote for Roberta right now.
Since when did being outrageously bitchy and rude become a "cool" thing to do? ... I thought that was my trick... What a damn rip off. You all are posers.
Roberta, you are a genius! :) It's so freaking gorgeous.
I've noticed that some domain owners really seem to think they are the equivalent of god. Utterly full of themselves and thirsty for a power that doesn't really exist without in turn losing common decency. It's sick and sad all at once. I thought those people weren't supposed to be smart enough to get this far...
I'm really diggin the comment thing. :) Only 4 comments now, but I was just going wild over it.
So now... use the damn thing! Bitch at me! C'mon!
This, I did not like. Not because she attacked me a little, but because she blamed it all on Andy. Actually, Andy e-mailed me when he read her post, asking me to try to smooth things over... And I tried to think of something apologetic to say, but I couldn't, because basically I did not say anything near as bad as she said about me. It was highly uncalled for. So, if she does decide to respond to this, I hope she keeps Andy out of it, because he was trying to act like a friend. I, on the other hand, have lost a little respect for her.
No one was telling her what to do. It's just that, If she has very limited space, she should use common sense when managing it. She can do whatever the hell she wants, but also try to have some consideration for other people. I mean, 5 MB's is not "assloads of space." I don't know what she was really expecting.
I'm slacking in updates, really. Liliss, once fake.unpretty.net, bought herself a domain a almost a week ago, or just about. She's got it up and running rather nicelessly, and is certainly worth a visit or two a million billion. I think she's on her second layout already.
My heart jumped a little when I came across Sara's hiatus page. I thought maybe they assholes were back to haunt the poor girl again. But now I'm waiting anxiously...
Emma has a new intro graphic. For the past three years, her ability to create the most beautiful collage of images always put me in awe. I never get enough of her leaving me speechless.
So... most of these lack of updates are due to this stupid project I'm doing. The longer it takes me to finish the layout, the less I am interested in it. I e-mailed a few people with the idea I had, in hopes to get response opinions/ideas... No help there. Sara was the only one who said she'd help in some way. I'd hate for something I worked so hard on to just, well, crap out on me. Yeah. FuckaDuck.
*news flash* I am starting something. It would be the equivalent of a project if it really fit into that category, or if I would actually allow it to be called that. It's something painfully stereotypical... But my version of stereotypical. It will carry the theme of the domain. And I'll be pissed if I don't get support for it. Because, afterall, I'm sort of putting my neck out to do this. In my eyes, anyway.
But it may take a while, it may take days... just keep an eye out for it...
Also, Sara Sara is back. I am glad she is; I only hope she isn't harassed like she was last time.
What follows is a list of all the creative energy that is hosted on this domain. I do have a personal site, but I am listing it separate due to the following introduction: These are sites that I believe show true design excellence and talent. |
