the time is 12.36 am. it's been hot today, hot hot hot, hot enough to swear like a boar by day and walk around in a t shirt at night. a very rare occurence in berkeley. and you know what else. those of you from southern california are aware of the very peculiar phenomenon we angelenos call 'earthquake weather'. when it's unseasonably hot and the air becomes electric. today for example. the animals can sense it too. when i got home a parliament of crows was flying in great big ugly circles above our house. dogs are howling, cats are yowling, and i think one of my turtles just winked at me. hmm.beats: bjork. post. in 'possibly maybe', when she sings 'i'm exhausted. . . leave me aloooone' it kills me every time!
eats: dreamery ice-cream is on sale for $1.50 a pint! i got two of 'grandma's cookie jar' because, as mike knows, i can only eat certain kinds of ice cream. it must be vanilla based (occasional exceptions). no chocolate chunks/chips/what have you. swirls are fine- caramel, fudge, peanut butter. chunks are okay as long as they're NOT chocolate or nuts. times like this i realize i have more neuroses than i'd like to think.
words: maganda.org. i've decided that christine castro is my soul sista even if she doesn't know it yet. not to be confused with maganda.com, the porn site. 'as you can see i am no spring chicken. . . but i can't wait to take my panties off for you!'

hooray, hooray, and hooray! le tigre is finally playing in california. october 3rd and 4th at an unspecified venue in san francisco. that, coupled with the start of school and bjork's new movie 'dancer in the dark', shall make for an exciting fall. and yes, i fully realize i'm a big dork.

to be entered into the Realm of the Inexplicable:
1. last night sara found a flower that smelled, oddly enough, EXACTLY like play-dough (tm).
2. my room smells like shrimp
saw the cell last night (or, as i call it, 'jennifer lopez as the goddess'). anyone who's seen it will understand the parenthetical (the virgin mary? give me a break!). visually stunning. great costumes. but not worth much more than matinee-price, i would say.

it's 2.23. nothing exciting to report except that mike, sara, and i indulged in a killer round of late-night frisbee in the church parking lot down the street. i was hoping for an evening of sex, drugs, and debauchery, but everyone seems to be sick or tired or out of town. chumps.
