Tap-tap-tap-tap Raindrops keep falling on my head.

*WOW*! What a turn of events! WHat a difference 24 little hours makes! I crawled out of bed this morning, hating life and wakefulness, and made my way to school. When I arrived, I saw somebody putting a note on the board: "115C -- no class today. Midterm postponed until Nov. 9." I did a little dance! A full WEEK extra to study and cram for that test! HOORAY! (Now, it will be kinda lame 'cause that Wed., the 8th, is that ball thing down in Palm Springs ... But we'll see what happens, won't we?)

this week -- and the headache i woke up with this morning -- are reasons to hate school. three bloody midterms (well ... technically two 'cause i finished one about 20 minutes ago) and the physics GRE all before saturday at noon. can you believe that? nasty stuff. i kill it.

countdown to metalfest: 11 days.

::le sigh:: i don't know *WHY* i keep looking. it used to make me cry to see such things, and for a while i was just numb, but the drive is still there and it's impossible to resist. i peek and i wonder and it's all quite peculiar. and really, i guess, none of it matters. but, for whatever reason, i still look and almost, almost ache from it.

Mmm ... Metal Fest is coming. And I can hardly wait. Most of the bands I've never heard of and will probably hate, but the idea that there's GOING to be a huge heavy metal convention in Southern California fills me with joy.

HA! of all the random things that could have happened to me tonight, sitting at work, soldering again (at least i'm 4/5 of the way THROUGH!), getting asked to a swing dance had just never occured to me.
