Break Her Down
Thursday, January 11, 2001
Okay, so it was more than a brief hiatus. Let's just say that I was too depressed and demoralized to journal in October and November, then in December I took a near-fatal overdose which landed me in a medical hospital in Halifax for 6 days and the psychiatric ward in Cape Breton for 12 days. I have now transferred to the University College of Cape Breton and am living with my parents. I will most likely only be able to go online from school, not at home. But it's something. I should be back with your regularly scheduled journalling fun sometime next week. Ta ta for now.

I'm taking a brief hiatus of a couple of days. I'm too drained to write journal entries at the moment. I am, however, in the mood for some-- drumroll, please-- Tedious Site Work, so I'm doing some of that for both this site and FID, and I'm working on a Fearless site, although who knows if it will ever see the light of day?

Okay, the fire alarm just went off. We all had to troop outside at 1:30 a.m. Thank the Goddess I didn't go to bed at a reasonable hour. If I was asleep when the alarm went off, I would've been sooo pissed.

It's rather embarrassing, but I've become addicted to Francine Pascal's
Fearless series. Check out
Fearless Online.

I got an A- on my clinical psych exam! Yay! 'Course, in the next half hour, I have to e-mail my neuropsych prof to find out
when and
where the make-up exam is tomorrw, read 4 poems and e-mail a reading response about them to one of my English profs, and get my ass over to comp sci class so I can meet Omar. Such is my life.

I'm back. I had a good weekend. I got to see Danny twice. That makes for a good weekend. I have an insane amount of work to do. That is
not good.

Go to
The Breakfast at Tiffany's Cafe. I love this site, and I love
Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Blah. My printer's being a bitch. That sucks, 'cause there are more pretty brain pictures. I NEED TO PRINT THIS STUFF! Exam on Wednesday...

Ooh, now I get to print a pretty picture of the brain in all rainbow colours! OOOOH!

I'm printing off neuropsychology course notes.
"NEUROANATOMY:Structures of the Brain
There is an "encephalization" hierarchy."
Jesus God. What IS this stuff?

I finally got the
Versions section up, although it still has a few bugs to work out. Also, I only have screen shots of version 2.0, and none of 1.0 at the present time. I'm also trying to set up the blog archives and failing miserably. Have some patience with me, people, all right?

Okay, I'm going to take a break from Julia Obsessing Night to bum a smoke from somebody. I'll be back, though... and you should go to
Marigold while I'm gone. I've always wanted to write for them... maybe tonight I'll actually get up the courage to start a piece for it...?

Omigawd, she has an entry titled, "signs, signs, everywhere, signs." How positively eerie.

Okay, I'm never going to contact her IRL. She knows Nancy far too well. I might toy with the idea of talking to her on the Net, though... Who the fuck IS this? I should just surf
Locals for a while until I figure out who it is.

Yep, it definitely is Sean, though. I should
know who he's been going out with, but I don't.

And Julia is not her real name, either. There is a good possibility I do know her.

Wow, she talks about Lisa Loeb being sexy while I am actually listening to Lisa Loeb. Cosmic.

Okay, it is not that Julia. She's older than that Julia, and she's from Antigonish. I don't think I know who she is. I might know her boyfriend, though... I don't know; there're a lot of people named Sean. I'll keep you posted on this Julia situation as I read all of her entries and consider making contact with her, via computer and possibly even IRL, if she's still in Halifax. I'm very unsure whether she is or not.

I was poking around
Diarist.net today and found
julia, hardly juliet. It's a good journal, and I want to sign the guestbook, but I'm wary of doing so, especially from my own computer, because she knows people who hate me. I might possibly know who
she is, too. She might be that redheaded chick who hangs around with Erin and them. I haven't read enough of her entries to tell.

I bummed a smoke off someone, and he also had Camels. A different type of Camel, though-- the shortest cigarette I've ever seen with the longest filter I've ever seen. It's slow burning, though. But if you're going to smoke American cigarettes, smoke Marlboro Reds, god
damnit.
