Most folks are doing something tomorrow (09-14-01) to show their patriotism and the unification of our country. So, from now until sometime Saturday my site will bear many images of the U.S. Flag as one method for me to show my support. Regardless of our faults, we should consider ourselves lucky to live where we do.

A lot of things can happen in 1 day. I'm still in a bit of a daze over all that has happened today. Usually I'm not affected very much by world events, but I've certainly been affected today. I don't really know what to think. Seems more like a dream than reality. I think about all those people that were in the World Trade Towers....before and after they fell. And they suffered/died for what? So someone could make a friggin point? IDIOTS!!! Selfish MORONS!!! What POSSIBLE benefit could their actions have for anyone?
It has been a real challenge to try and explain some of this to my 5-year old daughter. After I explained some of what was going on, the first thing she asked was "Why?". And what about all those kids that are missing parent(s) what were/are in all that rubble.
Today, this afternoon, while putting nails into the new siding for my house alongside my dad and neighbor, I thought about how lucky I was to still be alive and able to leave work and come home to my wonderful wife and child. Here I am working on my house as if nothing had even happened. But maybe that's the best thing we can all do. Help out where we can, but continue life as usual. After all, I'm fairly sure that the disruption of our lives is exactly what they were trying to accomplish. I won't give them that satisfaction.
My impulse feeling is, I hope we blow them off the friggin map! One way or another I hope that justice is truly served...although I don't know that any kind of punishment can possibly atone for this act of pure evil. Who knows where this will ultimately lead? My prayers are with us all.

I'm rewriting one of my cgi scripts to php, so if you see some odd backgrounds, etc don't worry. It will go away as soon as I'm finished with the update.

I'm working on a way for creeplings to add events to my Events Calendar. So be on the lookout for it. Then everyone will have a way to post events that might be of interest to other creeplings. For now, if you have an event you'd like to post, just send it to me @ frignbug(at)thecreep.com. Of course, replace the (at) with @. I"m just trying to prevent as much spam as possible.

Oh well...
After I planned to do nothing yesterday but sit and watch the Witchblade marathon, my plan was overcome by events. *sigh* I suppose working on my house is more important :(
If you haven't watched it and are into sci-fi or just plain weirdness, you should really check this show out.

Cygwin/XFree86 is turning out to be a very nice unix environment for Windoze. I have it running using Blackbox as a window manager. Runs very fast...surprisingly fast actually. Anyway, if you're a unixy-type person, check it out. I think you'll be impressed.
