Well, it seems to be the thing to have at the moment...
a weblog that is. So here's mine. I have no idea what
I'll write in it so think of it as a Christmas cracker -
most of the time you'll get a cheap plastic toy which you won't know how to
put together, but occasionally you'll get a stylish piece of plastic
jewellry which becomes an essential part of your wardrobe. Profound, no? :)

Hello! Yes, I'm still here...just havn't updated in ages. Sorry about that, but I've only just got back from Canada & then York & I've been very busy doing...erm...stuff!
Canada was very cool (although I missed someone very much - you can see his picture in the sketchbook page ). Some of the highlights were flying in a 6 seater plane over the Rockies & Columbian Icefields which was really spectacular, although I was absolutely terrified!!! I took loads of photos & want to do some paintings from them if they come out well. We also went white water rafting which was brilliant. I got completely soaked and loved it!!!!!! I saw quite a bit of wildlife, including bears, some moose and black squirrels which are among the cutest animals ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I'm at home for now - only a month to go till I'm back at uni. It's also just under a month till my birthday! So if you want to send me any cards or presents...they'd be appreciated! (29 Sept!!!) Heeheehee!
So... new art. Well I've spent the last three days working on a painting for my Mum, as it's her birthday soon. I'll put that up here in about a week, I don't want to upload it yet just in case she sees it. It's an oil painting of a photo I took about 5 years ago. It was supposed to be in the style of Van Gogh. You can see his influence in it, but there's a lot more me in there than him, which is a good thing really. My Mum really likes Van Gogh's work, but I'd rather do my own stuff than try to totally emulate his. It's not a great piece, unfortunately. I love the foreground, but I don't know what I was thinking when I did the background - ugh! Oh well, I'll know better for next time! When I havn't been painting, I've been reading The Shining. What a great book!!!! I was so scared but couldn't put it down!
I have some ideas for a project I'd like to work on. Whether I'll ever complete it is unlikely though! Especially as I have to learn to program for my next year at uni & I have other bits & pieces to do. I'll definately do some more drawing though, some time soon hopefully.

Saturday 14... 5 months since Valentine's Day 5 wonderful months... Heeheehee...
Anyway... new art! Finally! This is the stuff I did while away at uni last term (it's now the summer holidays, although you wouldn't think it, looking at the huge dark clouds out the window - but summer thunder storms are great - so exciting... where was I?) New art... 3 images in the sketchbook page. Two of a very special person and one of a little experiment. 2 new in the finished page - one of a cute flying pony and one of stylized tulips. There's nothing amazingly exciting, but I didn't get much art done last term - I was somewhat distracted with other things.
So now I'm home for a while. Going to Canada very soon, which I'm really looking forward to. I'm hoping to see a moose. I also have to retake the exams that I failed (Oops!). It gives me a chance to see some of my uni friends in August though. I will be doing some more pictures, so keep an eye on this page for more updates!

Well I've been back at uni for 2 weeks now and only completed one piece of art!!! And that's only a quick little study for an idea I've got for some other pieces - I'll put it up as soon as I can. I guess I might have done more stuff, if it hadn't been for the fact that I've been somewhat distracted since I got back here. It's all been much fun though!
I've just read Bram Stoker's Dracula. I don't know why I've never read this before, but I will definately read it again!
All is going pretty well at the moment - that's mainly because I haven't actually started my programming assessment yet. Argh! I must do that soon. I have some great things to motivate me though - specifically a weekend away in Whitby!!!!!! I'm so looking forward to that! Heeheehee!

Phew... I'm half way through packing right now, as I go back to uni tomorrow. This means there will be no art updates for a while, unless I overcome my fear of departmental equipment and try to use the scanner. However, I should do quite a lot of new stuff as I certainly won't be revising! (Joking!!!)
I'm half looking forward to going back - 'coz I'll get to see everyone again and probably go to Ziggy's!!! Woo! But I'm not looking forward to the work. Oh well...
Oh, while I remember - I found a smilie that looks like someone I know rather well in real life!!! Heeheehee!!!!!

Ooh... I've just added a little mood indicator thingummy from imood.com. So now you can see a little picture and the summarisation of the complex interaction of my hormones and external stimuli in one word!!! I just think it's quite nifty really. But then I have been staring at a computer screen all day...

Gah... I'm so bored at the moment. I'm struggling with a programming exercise and it's not going well. I really want to do some more drawing but I've got to revise and the guilt of spending 5 weeks doing nothing is starting to get to me. Ugh!
Hmm... I just won £125,000 on Who Wants to be a Millionaire - shame it's only virtual money. :( Heehee... that reminds me of Who Wants to be a Millioniorienteer! Such fun and drunkeness!! I'm impressed that I can remember most of that evening, though most of those memories are of later on that night. ;) Anyway...
I was rooting around my various folders on the hard disk and rediscovered all the poems(read: cr*p) that I did for the creative writing class I took in school. Some of them aren't actually that bad (for me that is!!!) so I'm thinking of putting them up here - just to add a bit of content to the site really and maybe to give someone a laugh. What the hell, I might as well..... Oh nuts, no that was not an example of one of my literary masterpieces!!!
