I know this may sound silly to bring this up now, but if you hear me out, it has relevence to the current situation.

In the first episode of Ayashi no Ceres, Aya nearly gets ran over by a car but is saved by Tooya. When she's home later that day, she's complaining to her brother about how boring her life is and how thousands of other kids are doing the exact same thing they are... And then Aki tells her that on that day, he realized how easily that can all change with tragedy... -_- So true, so true..

How could this happen? Why are people so terrible and set on destruction of others?! This SUCKS.

As most people should know by now, the two World Trade Center towers in New York have been attacked by terrorists. Both have collapsed. The Pentagon in Washington, D.C. has also been attacked.. which is where my best friend's parents are.. Her mom was at work, her dad and uncle were at the Pentagon... I really hope that her parents are okay.. The news on all channels is mainly focusing on NY, so we don't know much about the Pentagon, but to me, it doesn't look that bad (compared to NY, that is). Unless her father was in that specific section of the building, he should be okay.. She can't get through to either of her parents.. And she either signed offline or got kicked off, but.. I'm really worried..

And I'm really sad for everyone who has died and those who had family in both locations who have died. I'm also very disgusted at such an act on our country... But I can't say that without mentioning that other countries see this kind of destruction and malice all the time... It's very, very sad and disturbing. A lot of news stations have said that this will be taken as a declaration of war by terrorists on the U.S.... Saying that is only making the situation worse... Ah, well.. There's nothing I can do. I just hope that my best friend's parents are okay..

Oh, good! She was able to get in contact with her mom... and her dad is okay, as is her mom.. I feel better... And I'm glad that she knows, too...

I'm still watching the news.. I can't think of anything rational to write about.. I just hope that any of my online buddies in NY or DC.. or buddies who have friends/family in NY or DC... are okay.. It's all too terrible..

Today was a good day - other than crying over something silly due to lack of sleep. ^_^

Well, me and my mom ran our usual errands.. by the bank to deposit my dad's check, pay a bill or two.. And then we went by the Eastdale mall for me to look in Dillard's for a new Nike jacket for winter... well, didn't find one.. but they had TONS of shoes 75% off and I found a cool pair of red and white Nike shoes (red is muh favorite color =d), originally $69! But marked down for a mere $17.25! XD Go me! Shoes on sale! Woo hoo! And then to the other mall for me to return that jacket to Gadzooks that was too small. The guy who helped me was kinda' cute - but not as cute as the guy at the video game store in da' Eastdale mall! =d

Well, after that, we ran in Circuit City for mom to get another CD case.. and I picked up Final Fantasy Chronicles! >D Whoo hoo! I played 'bout 20 minutes of FF IV before I had to go to work.. and watched the intro to Chrono Trigger.... Bah. The opening to CT was WAY better than the short (and ...... lame) intro for FF IV... The sad thing being that I don't really care for Akira Toriyama's art (due to DBZ stuff being EVERYWHERE.... and I just plain n' simple don't like it), but the intro is done very well for CT. ^_^

Oh, yeah. And then back to P'ville for me to pay my phone bill and then home... and then work. Now, what I learned at work is very awesome! ^_^!!

Okay! My friend Brandy at work is in college. (Long story, it will all make sense! Promise!) A lady from Disney was speaking at her college and going around to people asking if they'd want intern (or whatever it's called) jobs and such working at Disney World in FL... and I asked if I could go or see about it, and the lady's having a meeting soon and told Brandy to bring any friends who sound interested. I asked Brandy if they had open slots to do with the animation field, and Brandy said she thinks the lady mentioned something like that. Soooo, basically...

For six months, from January - June/July, I would be in Orlando, FL in Disney World working around the studio -- and get this! I'd live within walking distance (I think!), and only have to pay $72 a week to live there - all utilities are covered! And I'd get 40-45 hours a week and paid $6 an hour! :D (Here in Alabama, minimum wage is a mere $5.15 an hour..)

It's not for sure, however! x_X I forgot to ask Brandy if the people willing to go have to be in college or not, 'cause Brandy said they'd school you there, too, or something ... But from what Brandy told me, the lady said "any" friends, not specifically college friends, so I think I'm game!

And best of all ..... =D I WOULD GET AWAY FROM HOME!!! FREEDOM!!!!!!! Not to mention, a great oppurtunity to get my name circulating in the biz! But knowing my luck, it won't happen. ^_^ But I can still hope. I just have to tell myself to not get too over-excited so I'm not deeply disappointed when nothing happens.

On the chance everything goes through... (even though Disney is NOT my first choice, it's a place to start!)... that would be awesome! ^_^ I just gotta' hope for tha' best!

Haven't written anything in a while, ne? o_O Well, my kitty's getting better from when she went to the vet... She's eating more, though she's still not as hyper active as she was... I think when I take her back to the vet, I'm going to go to a different one.. a better doctor. Yeah..

Well, I guess it seems like I haven't been working on my websites at all.... But on the contrary, I've been working diligently on my Harem site's Honorable Mentions section. ^_^,v,, I didn't think it would take this long, but... cropping images to the right size (having to search websites and bug friends for some of them 'cause I didn't have one of some characters), making 55-60 more pages and getting them set-up (actually, I just would keep up a current page, change some info [page title, name, series info, links] and the pic, then save the file as the new character - I'm not THAT stupid to just start fresh every time XD), and probably what was most time consuming - looking for links! Some characters has ZERO links to find, so I had to bug friends for that, too.. Blargh.. And some of the guys who I don't know much about, I'm asking friends for tidbits of information on them.. XP All in all, this process is very time consuming... moreso than I thought it would be.. The guys from Capcom are time consuming 'cause of how many games some have been in, and some of their information wasn't widely available.. But I want to be as accurate as I can, so.. Blah. :P

Ah, well. Time for work! ... I think I'm going to start writing up some stuff for one of my future sites, Top Ten Fictional Females.. ^_^

Ah, what a day! x.x Went shopping with two friends! XD Had a lot of fun, actually! I spent $134... x.x Heh heh... Like this:

$65 on a pair of boots (dominatrix style black ones that lace all the way up! XD), $30 on two black skirts to wear with my new boots (one was on sale! =o), and $39 at Gadzooks on a new jacket and a shirt.. (I'm taking the jacket back 'cause it's too small when I tried on a long sleeve shirt with it.. they're "large" size is like..... an actual small..) The jacket was really $42 and the shirt was $18, but I had this coupon that was like... get $25 off any $50 purchase.. XD Whoo hoo! The jacket's black and leather-type and comes down to my knees.. but it's too little, though.. =/ It's cool looking, but I couldn't wear it all the time and be *comfortable*. I'm going to get another jacket this winter like my old Nike one (kinda' like a windbreaker, only better) ... :P This year it's time to retire the Nike jacket I've had since... 8th grade! XD LoL, it has paint on it from art class!

Also, I had two gift cards for Dillard's and Parisians... 'got a cool long-sleeve snake skin silk green shirt at Parisian's.. originally $28.. marked down to $19.99... but it rang up at $9.99! XD Talk about a sale! And at Dilliard's, I got a nice red no-sleeve turtleneck shirt for $16 and a black long sleeve button up (to wear over the red shirt or separate [looked good either way]) for $24... =o with a $50 gift card..! I've got $6.40 left on that one.. and $39.11 on the other. =X

Ah, and then sadly, we had to come home. :P They both had to be home by 5 o' clock for dinner, but I still had fun, nonetheless! I think that's the first time ever that I've gone out with female friends - without my mom - and bought some clothes for myself. o.O *Gasp!* Hell hath frozen over!

So, anyways... I'm at home.. I showed mom all the stuff I got... and hung 'em up.. and then went with my sister to Office Deopt... There, I got a new printer (well, the last one they had was the display, so..) for only $99.99!! :D Whoo hoo! And it's 1200x1200 dpi! That's *really* good quality! ^_~ Oh, and I had to buy ink catridges for it and some CD cases and another thing.. and that totaled $217..... Those ink catridges are EXPENSIVE!! for an HP printer! $30 for black, and $54 for color!! o_O;; They betta' last a LONG time, I'll tell you that!

Yeah.. I spent a hella' lot today. >.o;; My next two paychecks'll go towards paying off my credit card, I assume.. Oi! Must... stop.. spending...! And.. must... eat more than twice a day.. -_- I ate at 12:30 today... and then again 'round 8:30.. TOO LONG to go without eating! I scarfed down my KFC so fast that I feel a little sick now.. x_X But, time to go install my new printer software!

Oi, oi! Work, work, work, work! :P Two days off, then work, work again! Ah, well! Good money, I suppose! Today and yesterday were good days - I've laughed more the past two days than I have in a long time! =) I got some good peeps at work, I'll tell ya! Oh, and tomorrow I'm going out for a "girls' day out" with two of my friends - without my mom! Yay! XD And I'll need to get me a new printer while we're out.. maybe see the cute guy at the video game store.. =d Ah, yes. I hope to remember to write about our day tomorrow when I get home.. I'm quite sure it'll be lots of fun! ;)

Oh, yeah.. And I got an e-mail today from the "President" of the "Yaoi Patrol" concerning my Anti-OoC Yaoi Committee site. It's quite.. funny and hypocritical. You can read the e-mail (along with my response) on the News / Updates page of the site! ^_^ I think I handled it well...

Anyways, DEFINITELY time for bed! Gotta' get up early tomorrow for an orthadontist appointment.. and then going to meet my friends at the mall 'round noon! ;)

We mostly sat around and watched anime and chatted, but it was fun to just to hang out, talk, and not have to worry about work... But here's the basic schedule of how things went...

Thursday, August 2nd -- Well, we left around one o' clock to go pick up Kate from the airport. We had a very talkative ride back home. =) When we got back to P'ville, we got some Chik-fil-A and came back home... then went to see Cats and Dogs... :P She didn't like it as much as I did, but I think she got a kick out of my impression of the Russian cat.. Ku hu hu... Well, then we came back home to stay and watched some anime and then Rush Hour so we could go see Rush Hour 2 on Friday. =) Well, after Rush Hour, we went to bed.

Friday, August 3rd -- We got up, got ready, and left to go to town and pay bills 'round 10/11 a.m. First we ate at CiCi's Pizza, then stopped by the comic book store (didn't buy anything), and then we stopped by the mall for a bit and I bought an Animerica, Nadesico volume 11, and the Record of Lodoss War set on DVD from Suncoast... =d Of course, I gave the RoLW DVDs to Kate, since she likes the series and loves Orson. Tee hee, she tried to give them back, but I refused. ;) Well, *then*, we went and saw Rush Hour 2!! It was HILARIOUS! I loved it! :D It's probably the best movie of the summer, I'd say! It's sooooo funny! Yah, yah! After the movie we went to Wal-Mart and went shopping for food... and then came home and played some Puzzle Fighter II Turbo and then watched more anime. =d Hehehe! An' then we went to bed.

Saturday, August 4th -- Well, we didn't go anywhere this day. We stayed home and watched yet *more* anime, played more PF2.. and Kate cooked a good ol' meal for us! =d Big manacoti noodles stuffed with a homemade cheese concoction covered with a homemade sauce! Veeeeeeeery delicious! =d!! We ate that while watching Rush Hour with my dad (trying to convince him to go see numba' 2) and then ate some Oreos.... XD Then more anime! LoL! She seemed to like Nadesico a lot, so we were mainly watching it.. along with the Rurouni Kenshin OAVs and TV series. =d ...... An' then, bed. Tee hee.

Sunday, August 5th -- Well, since Monday was my grandpa's birthday, but my dad had to work.. we went down there to where they're camping to bring him his present and go fishing. Well... We fished for a while then cooked hamburgers.. but me n' Kate were really tired for some reason, so we went inside the motor home and lied down for a nap.. 'bout an hour later, we came back home. =d Ate s'more... Watched more anime, I believe... LoL, I kinda' don't remember. We were both so tired, but I think all we did was watch more anime! =X Nadesico and RK... Then sleepeth again.

Monday, August 6th -- Ah, yes. ^^;; We kinda' woke up late, ate some sausage rolls, and then went to the malls in Montgomery. I bought a dragon clock for Kate... and a Badtz-Maru satchel/pack thingy bag to carry my art stuff in.. and a Capricorn Hello Kitty keychain from the Sanrio store. =o And at Gadzooks, I got two KICKASS shirts! One has Mr. Owl on it (you know, from that Tootsie Roll commercial) and reads "How many licks does it take?" ... Yeah, I know it sounds perverted, but I like the owl. :P Hehe, he's cool.... And the other shirt I got reads "Old School - Atari"!! XD LoL! Isn't that so cool?! And Kate got two shirts just like it! =) Hehehe! Now we can be twins - like we were! both wearing our Dark Schneider shirts! Ku hu hu! Oh, and I bought King of Fighters '99 at the video game store - where I got to see the cute guy again! XD And he actually remembered the conversation about XenoGears I had with him months ago! LoL! Hmmmm.... I might look into getting a job there! =d Yummy! Anyhoo, after tha' malls, we came home and got the mail. ^_^ The kitty collar Kate had ordered for my kitty (her name's Taffy) came in! Tee hee! It's red and has her name on it with a tag with all the appropriate info on it. Of course, *that* collar is for when she gets older 'cause it's waaaaaay too big for her now. Kate bought a smaller one for now and we put the tag on it. ^_^ Hehe, Kate also bought a cat brush ... That all was a part of my graduation present from her - the other part was her flying down to see me! :P Hehe! It's all gravy, I say! ;D Well, Kate really did like Taffy! Taffy was being so cute and loving this eve. =B I think Taffy's going to miss Kate, just like I am! ....... Ah, well. We finished watching all of Nadesico (even though the final volume is 12! Oi!) and watched a Ranma tape after that. =B Hehehe. And then we went to bed.

Today - Tuesday, August 7th -- ;.; We got up really early and took her to the airport. I was really sad to see her go, but she had to... College and all... *Sigh* Oh, well... But we were talking about maybe moving in together sometime in the near future while she's at college. ^_^ She said either her sophomore or junior year, she's going to move off campus into an apartment - and I was like "Ooooh! Can I share it with you?!" and she said "Sure, Lins'." Hehehe! ^_^ That would be cool! The only thing is that I'd have to have my own car by then, and plenty of money saved up. =d Well, I think I can work with that... I'll just have to show restraint! Hehe!

Well, that's it, I suppose. o_o I'm back now from my internet hiatus... ... Now I'll get back to working on my websites and drawing stuff... But, I think I'll keep Glomp! down for a couple o' more days. =o Heh!

Man, I hate having to work four days in a row, but.. Oh well. *Sigh* It can't be helped. Only one more full week (well, the rest of this week and then next week) of working 1-10 *every* day... and then it'll go to only working 6-10 Monday - Friday, and 1-10 Saturday and Sunday... of course, I've been mentioning to only be worked on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. ;) Yeah, I know.. Small paychecks, but I really do need a break from School/work, then working all summer... Time ot catch my breath and concentrate on my art and go more places. =) BUT, saving money is now going to be extremely important! ....... Eh well! Time to draw now! ^_^

Ah.. Good day, good day! =D No work for the next SIX days! Whoo hoo! And better yet, my best friend is flying down to see me! ^_^ Whoo hoo! Well, I won't be online much, but it's all good! I haven't seen her since Christmas of '99! =O It'll be great to see her again! I'll write about our adventures whenever I get a chance - or after she's gone. =) Don't want to spoil our time together by being online all the time.

Onto other subjects.. Ugh.. Work is so..... LoL! Well, it's the people I work with (not all of them, just a handful) that are so crazy. Getting drunk and having sex and smoking. Heh. Totally not me. It's silly.... One girl working today nearly had a nervous breakdown because her boyfriend said she couldn't have a cig'... 'cause she promised him she would stop smoking... And like... Oi! Lies, lies, lies! They all lie to each other.. It's disgusting...

Apparently, I'm a really good worker. o.o The head manager came down and talked to me s'more... furthering the point that he wasn't mad at me for earlier, but just to restate his point about it. Need a car. x.x Been wanting one for a while, but I also gotta' get my drivers liscense. XD Yeah, I'm pathetic...

Oi! Taffy kitty kept me up most of Tuesday night trying to crawl off of the bed. x.X I didn't want her to 'cause I was afraid she might get stuck somewhere during the night and I wouldn't hear her meow.. Needless to say, I was very tired at work on Wednesday... Blah. And today, I mostly paid attention to her and watched some TV. My grandparents came by and they think she's really cute. ^_^ Tee hee!

Onto other things, I really don't wanna work three days in a row again... -_-;; This is probably going to be our biggest/busiest weekend of the summer... Oh well.. x_X At least I get to come home and sleep until I gotta' get up the next morning... And next week, I shouldn't have as many hours, hopefully.. x.x

XO HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^_^ Okay. Now that that's said. Ahem. I would like to recap my opinion on the Final Fantasy movie... I can't really even remember the plot/story to it that well now... and it was kinda' boring. A big disappointment to the hardcore Final Fantasy fans... Seems Squaresoft'll slap Final Fantasy on anything nowadays just to make some money... Blah.

I feel kinda' bad for the guy who was *obviously* a FF fan... He bought tickets yesterday (I work at the movie theater, no da) and he was really eager to see it (just like how I was). He recognized my Lionheart necklace and said that even *he* didn't like FF VIII... XD I was like "Yeah, man! It blew chunks!" and he agreed... And we even agreed on how much we life FF IX a lot - good characters, fun gameplay, good medieval storyline, magic, etcetc! =D I like the main character in this one! Zidane? He's got personality, I tell ya! And he's quite funny..!

Anyways, I hope the guy wasn't *that* disappointed by the movie. x.x The graphics where great, as I've said... But something can't be all looks and no substance - unless you're a typical male, then substance doesn't matter. XD Dah hah hah.... Ahem. Just like FF VIII... good graphics; lame male lead; HATED (extremely much) the main female character. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH....... ^_^ Anyhoo... Oh, what? If I didn't like Squall that much, why do I have a Lionheart necklace (with matching ring)... o_o I got 'em off e-bay for less than $15... It was cheaper than Tidus' ring and necklace, anyways... And, I'm not sure if I'll like Tidus or not. He's too much of a Cloud/Zell/Squall combination... and he looks too real. -_- I hate that.. Not to mention, I dunno his personality. o_O FF X's out in Japan, dunno when it'll arrive here on the PS2!

Onto other things... Dude. I need to draw more. -_- I tried to yesterday, and came up with CRAP... (In the words of Heero..) WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?! XO ........... I dunno. But I'm going to attempt to draw something today... again. I still need to get to those people's requests.. x_X And draw my characters... work on my manga.. yeah... Lots of stuff. But I also need to work on my websites.... Finish up three of 'em.. give one a new layout... Won't take long if I get a day where my mom isn't fussing at me about something and I don't have to go to work... This past Wednesday and Thursday were days like that. Got up new layouts for Glomp and my domain. Simple, blah. But I don't care. I'm going to learn to use other stuff soon.. Maybe my sites'll look better.. I just don't want them to look like other peoples..... =/ Too cliche' in the anime domain realm.... You know, those extremely fancy layouts that take forever to load and have like...... Biiiiiiiig pictures, and small windows for the content... -.-; Sorry. My websites are mostly content, little pictures. I'm not saying those kinda' layouts are *bad*... They're not, but that's just how most everyone else's anime / manga / video game domains look... =/ And though it *looks* nice, and I *could* do that... I don't want to. -_- Sorry. Would like to stick to being original.... Not to mention I'm not that great with Java scripting yet.. ¬.¬; And those Rise/Fall scripts... Okay, at first, I wanted one of my sites to do that.. but then I realized how @%#&^% annoying those Rise/Fall things are. >.< You can't scroll to exactly where you want to - you have to waaaaaaait, depending on how slow/fast the person has the thing scrolling... Blah blah.

Okay, enough ranting about stuff. o_o Must draw something... and make it good!

Aaaaaaaaaand, for your first view ... and opinion on Final Fantasy : The Spirits Within...

As far as being Final Fantasy - no way. No chocobos; no moogles; no spikey haired guys; no big swords; futuristic place and sci-fi storyline (can we say BIG MISTAKE, like FF VIII); it just did NOT say Final Fantasy to me. The people were far too realistic looking for my tastes (for a Final Fantasy title, that is)....

As far as being a movie NOT - I repeat NOT named Final Fantasy - ... It was pretty good! It was one of those movies where ya' had to pay attention to understand the plot, 'cause it was a bit confusing for me (well, not once it got more into the movie and I realized what was happening). The graphics are really good. I mean, they went the length to do individual skin cells in close-ups... and the voice acting was done very well, too, unlike how most Japanese-originated big-screen things are treated (can we scream Akira?) I walked away from the movie amazed at the graphics.... slightly confused at the story (gonna' have to see this one twice, peeps)... and saddened/disappointed by the ending (I will say no more). I guess personally, I didn't feel there was real closure in the ending... Kinda' like FF VIII..... Okay, no where near as bad/lame as FF VIII's ending... but still. I was disappointed. And the ending song... -.-; Sad. As in, a sad song, not a bad song...

Overall, the movie was pretty good. Kudos to Squaresoft - but next time, stick with making a movie based on FF IV, VI, or VII! >/!!!! Curses, people!
