Well, well, well. Today is Miss Lilly's birthday. The house is in boxes because we're MOVING in three weeks. The other big news is that we're cutting down on our web responsibilities, partially because ESN have their new album to promote, and mostly because I'm so damn tired all the time. Gentle's warming up to being two, D'arcy's starting school next year - It's all a bit hectic here. So I've passed responsibility for Montaine and Freestate, and a new Comrade site is going up soon thanks to the guys at Anti-Alias. So - that's what's going on here at the moment. Make sure you tune in to TripleJ (105.7FM) after 10pm on Wednesday 5th September to hear 4 live songs by ESN. Cheers! Sunday, May 20, 2001
You can tell how busy we've been from the [GASP] lack of updating on the site of late. I've just about got the hang of this new day job malarkey. The esn album is almost finished, and I'm almost done preparing the flash sampler. The Freestate Records site has had a flash navigator added... In other world events, we're having BIG YARD SALE in two weeks, D'arcy's about to turn four, and I'm getting a new second-hand machine as payment for a site I'm working on. Talk very soon, Friday, February 02, 2001
Lots of work on at the moment - there's a site under construction/beta testing for Montaine Centre of Natural Therapies in Sydney. They do one hell of a massage, as well as acupuncture, homeopathy, etc. Their web vision is to become THE portal for all things relating to natural therapies in Australia. It's only 25% complete, but have a look by all means, and if you're interested in a massage, truck on down there and tell them where you found out about them.... Also, we've got a lovely new scanner, thanks to clients who pay partially in trade, and that means TONNES of new photos are going online now, and more regular updates every roll we shoot (providing we can afford to have them developed). We're looking into getting our own el-cheapo digicam for assistance in this area. Have a quick geez at some photos of our holiday period here. Talk Soon, Tuesday, January 16, 2001
Now: the two major differences you'll notice at first are the new flash navigation screens...but please have a look at Lilly's Doll House, a lovely (albeit rushed) catalogue of her work thus far as a dollmaker. Lilly herself has been hesitant to mention, but she's now working at Gallery Serpentine, and if you've never heard of it, click the link. If anything about the new layout is less than clear: [1] Don't Panic; [2] Retype the URL and be careful; [3] mail me with your comments. Thanks for your time! Now - I'm off to reconfigure the links in the journal archives. See you, Tuesday, January 09, 2001
More than one week of recovery later, it's safe to say HAPPY NEW YEAR loudly without causing people cranial distress... This is a busy, busy month here at the House. The transition between part-time webmonkey and full-time eyestrain is well and truly here. That said, expect major changes to our site, and a few minor delays in them coming to full fruition - Miss Lilly and I are finalising the craft portfolio for upload this week, as well as the first stage of our flash navigation system finally going online before Feb. The new esn site is now functional for both Netscape and IE users. It has a little flash for those who like eye candy, and plenty of info, both historic and futuristic, for those with time to read. Please check it out, and throw any comments our way. Anyway, plenty to talk about soon, but I'd better get some sleep right now. Bye! Thursday, December 21, 2000
Almost all of the presents are wrapped - and we have some lovely digital photos of the dolls going online very VERY soon. Some photos from Gentle's party are on his and D'arcy's pages...And more general photos going online before Christmas. There are some new photos on Yaniv's site, why not take a peek? More to come next week, also. Drive Safe, and don't mix your drinks, kids. Take Care. Saturday, December 09, 2000
Here comes Christmas! The good news for those of you who missed out on free domain registration in November is that our rate has lowered to just $55 per year for your own top-level domain - no setup fees, no ridiculous profit margins. We don't have many staff to pay, so you reap the rewards. Also check out our new hosting prices. In family news, Gentle is walking/running at high speeds, regardless of the hard reality of wooden doorframes and furniture. He's having a tough time with his latest bout of teething, but it seems likely that the rest will all arrive at once(WE HOPE). Then, we can all get some sleep, which has been something sorely missed of late. Pictures of Lilly's handmade dolls will be on the site before the new year, and once she's finished making this batch, you can order your own doll to your own preferences - a perfect gift for that special someone (cough) - completely free from corporate factory interference. Just Lilly's superior craft skills. D'arcy is currently living proof that advertising works - every advert on the television, and every toy on every shelf has been added to her mental letter to Santa. I hope the fat man has a good chiropractor. Anyhow, if you haven't already, please leave your comments on our blackboard, and spread the word to anyone who might need our help. January 2001 will see a new Flash version of our site, and a new site for esn, in preparation for their debut album. If you are interested in some Flash work on your site, and can't wait to see the ones in progress, mail us for some preview URL's. Talk soon, [styx] |
