I really am moving. We're moving to this isp so that we have adsl, and I'm going to put the page up there asap. I wont redesign until exams are over. Well, unless I get insanely bored.

Strange thing is, since Corey's been working, I've been home all by myself all day. It's a horrible experience for me. I can't explain it. But considering that we've been together for over 2 1/2 years, and most of that time Corey's been home, it's hard to adjust. I had three crying fits yesterday. Geesh! I have to get over this so badly...

Plus, my play that I am directing for my class is on tonight. I'm nervous about it, and have a final rehearsal in about 15 mins, but I think they'll be fine.

These are the kind of friends I have. And yes, I belong to this cult. Scary isn't it?

ISTANBUL, Turkey, May 21 — Nazli Top was walking home from work nine years ago when she was stopped at a security checkpoint. She says she was taken to a police station where she was held captive for 10 days by officers who beat her, prodded her with electric shocks until her body went numb, then raped her with a truncheon. She was 32 years old and three months pregnant.

This whole thing makes me sick to my soul. That such a thing can happen, and continually happen in this world is hard for my mind to understand. And the fact that these monsters that did this to this woman were aquitted, and she made the criminal is much, much worse.

I'm moving the site. I just don't know where to. Our contract with this isp runs out on the 6th of June, and we're getting adsl on the 9th of June (also my 20th birthday).

I checked out some free hosts, and the idea of going back to that drove me nuts, so the site will be put up again on the new isp sometime after the 9th. If you want the new addy, email me. I might even have a new design, but don't count on it. Being the birthday girl and going to three plays within a week, plus exams is going to keep me pretty busy.

What would you do if someone sent you $200 cash in the mail, and you had no idea who it was? No return address, no note included with the money. No expectation of money, no money being owed. Addressed directly to you.

That's what happened to Corey on Tuesday. It's very confusing. We went through all the options on who could have sent it, and rang a few people. None of our friends could just afford to send us this amount of money. We thought it might be one of them doing it like this because we wouldn't accept it from them in person.

Honestly, it made me nervous. Like we were being watched by some horrible person or something. But as one of Corey's relatives pointed out: If they wanted to harm me or frighten me, then they would have sent dead rat's or poison...not money.

Most of the people I've talked to about it think it's just the universe on it's helping cycle after all the trouble we've been through in the last 2 years. The cycle seems to have included Corey stopping smoking, getting a job, and now sent money. I do want to donate some of the money to charity though, or help out a friend who needs it. Just to keep the cycle going around.

Feeling very odd lately. Very aggressive, yet tired. I'm still tired after 10 hours solid sleep. So, I have lots of sugar and cafienne, and end up bouncing around the walls. Then, I come down off the sugar high, and it's worse. Depressed like all heck. I would say I'm rapid cycling, cept for the interferance of the sugar.

No more sugar highs for me. Ohno. Badthings...bad.

By the way, I loved Moulin Rouge. It was fantastic. The songs and the way they used them in the movie was really great, and hopefully we're going to get the soundtrack next week. The costumes and set were absolutely amazing! Really, if you haven't seen this movie, you're missing out in a big way.

Mission Accomplished.

No casualties.

The target's name is Zach.

I have a new project. A rescue mission if you will. With just a tiny dash of danger, and the "Mission Impossible" theme playing in my head.

Codename: Operation LAMP.

Mission: To save a baby palm tree from certain death at my university.

Circumstances: The target is growing in a drainage hole, covered by a grate. Must save the target because the uni gardener walks around with a chainsaw, and will probably just dispose the target. Plus, the mission would possibly help the uni by removing the target from somewhere it may damage uni property.

Problems: Is removing the target considered stealing? It's obvious the target wasn't planted there on purpose, and that it would be better for the target's wellbeing to move to better premises. Also, uni security may get involved. This would be bad news for the mission co-ordinator.

Possible alibis:
1. Pretend to drop something down the grate, go down to get it and "accidently" pull out the target.
2. Pretend to be a botany student studying the plant. Problem with this: need extra equipment to make it plausible.

Mission Team:
Samante - co-ordinator, main instigator, and person who is most likely to take the fall.
Lillian - ground work, escape route and possible "friend that was with Samante when her stuff fell down the grate".
Herb - Feral cat working as our proverbial "drop bear" in case we should be discovered. Weapons expert.

Equipment needed: pot plant pot for the target, shopping bag to carry it in, little shovel, non-breakable items to drop, and food for Herb.

Escape plan: Time it so we can catch the next public bus out of there, with the target disguised as a run of the mill store bought palm tree.

Co-ordinator will contact you with mission results if she comes back alive.
