Greens looking to nuclear power? Have they finally smartened up? Actually this article is great as it shows now only a changing trend among so called environmentalists but it also shows the degree of extremism these people possess. A scary group overall but I do agree that nuclear is a good way to go. I just can't believe that ultra liberal..heck socialist france did it. I have been saying for a long time now that the conservative movement has been growing. Look at the success of such things as Fox News or even Rush Limbaugh. Liberals can claim no successes such as these. Simply take a look at the recent elections. Ten years ago (or so) Democrats controlled every elected part of government. Presidency, senate, house, govenorships and even a majority of state legislatures. That has all changed. Let's not forget that the senate we have was NOT elected that way. While I think the news of this trend is good news for consevatives it is really scary news for liberals. As the polling data shows self proclaimed liberals haven't broken the 20% mark in a long time. The popularity of conservative news outlets as well as the very makeup of our elected body should be very depressing to liberals whose ideas continue to become more extreme and more obscure. It has been a while since I posted. For you avid readers let me just apologize. I have been so busy with other things I haven't had time for this lately. Not to mention the news lately hasn't interested me much. This article did interest me though. Why? Well I feel that the basis of liberalism is to try and make things more fair for everyone and safer. I can admit those are noble goals that I myself share. I think my change of heart in terms of politics came when I started to look at both side of all of the issues and see where the fairness really comes in. Abortion is a good example of that. I knew it would only be a matter of time before this came up. I was just thinking the other day I am surprised someone hasn't tried to bring FandM to the USA yet. So let's look at the hypocrisy of the left. We are going to introduce a disease to a country that will devistate milions of animals to save them? These people need to wake up and realize that people like to eat meat. It is a healthy part of any diet. I went to England during the height of the outbreak and people were eating lots of meat. It didn't stop anything. In fact since the outbreak started the consumption of meat actually increased according to the news in England. So this just shows the crazed and demented thinking these idiots use to come up with their ideas. A person I know actually mentioned something similar to this a while back. This person has demostrated time and time again however that they don't use fact and common sense and they are basically living on blind faith of truth. Let's just say their credibility is shot and they did it to themself. Oh well their choice. Just be aware that the animal rights group is among the most insane and would love to ruin your life. US Senator Zell Miller (democrat) had some interesting words for the head of the DNC. Zell is one of the few democrats I actually tend to like. While I missed this article during the campaign I can only say it is one of those articles that just makes you smile. Let me explain. When it comes to political decisions there are two stories that always come forth. The truth and the truth perpetuated by the media. What they choose to show you is based upon their own personal perceptions of what is really going on. Seeing as how the media is admittedly 95% liberal democrat it is obvious where they viewpoints come from. It isn't so much that they truly have a game plan (though some do). It has more to do with where they see the world from and what is truth to them. You need not go farther than searching around these weblogs to find that many liberals will tell complete lies as truth because they believe it is the right thing to do. So now back to perceptions. When it comes to politics and the absorption of political ideas there are really two points of view. You can either beleive what the media tells you in terms of opinion reporting or you can see past that and be objective and find the truth. You will find 90% of the time that those who blindly believe the perceptions of media are liberal and those who choose to be more balanced and objective are conservative. I have seen this play out too many times to come to any other conclusion. Last fall you heard many people question as to weather Bush was smart enough to be president. This rhetoric was repeated by many who would foolishly lap up this opinion instead of find out the truth. In fact for me those people have illustrated that they themselves are not to be believed. They don't find out the truth they only spew rhetoric that is a lie. So reading this article which is from the election really made me smile because it underscores the point that there really are gullible stupid people who can't see the truth all around us. For those of you who said GWB was a smart man then I say kudos to you. They don't give away degrees at places like Harvard and Yale. Bush got poor marks from Europeans but hey he isn't in charge of Europe is he? The truth of the matter is that the recent techno/internet boom in the USA didn't affect other countries the way it did the US. The end result is that the boom we went through didn't happen worldwide. In fact through most of the 90s Japan was in a recession and the euro economy sputtered along. Now the US is economically stronger than ever and that is scary to euros who have to compete with us. The adoption of Kyoto was a blatant example of an attempt to weaken our economy. The euros give Bush poor marks for good reasons. He governs the US and looks out for our interests first. How thoughtless huh? The article states that every president has it rough in europe when they start. It is actually good that Bush is standing up for American where Clinton would not. You just gotta love this article. I find it ironic that Ted Kennedy is the chairman of the committe on "health and welfare". I mean how about the welfare of Mary Jo Kopechne?
