Getting into the "wake up at 6am" schedule again. No, I'm not enjoying it, but, you know what they say: Whatcha gonna do?
Interestingly enough, I received an email about blogger.com, and I feel I'm not adequate at giving instructions, so I truly hope I helped. Maybe I should work on some sets for blogger, which would make a very nice section in Wynderlon Designs. If I do make them, they'd be here.
This year, I decided to try and truly learn guitar. I can sort of read tablature, but I'm so rusty. You see, quite a few years back (three? Four?), I used to take guitar lessons. Then, I put my guitar in the closet and promptly forgot about it. Somewhere back in December, I found my old pick, the only thing left from my guitar (you see, as I tend to take up hobbies and then abandon it, the guitar I had gotten had been a rental, to see if I "caught on," and then I would've bought my own guitar. I never did "catch on" back then). I had felt some sense of remorse then, and a newfound yearning to take up the strings once more; an encore effort. So, impulsive me, when January/Febuary came around (when you sign up for next year's classes), I still had that guitar pick in my mind. Impulsively, I put down Beginning Guitar as one of my classes. I don't know if it was quite a wise decision, but I did do it.
The problem of a guitar came in summer, when I began to search for a guitar again. I didn't have the money to buy my own, yet, so I thought of a rental. Lo and behold, Rory came to the rescue and allowed me to borrow her old guitar, case and all! At least I had the pick. ^_~
So, I've been "jamming" lately. Since my writing has basically fizzled away (more on that later, when I feel like talking about it), I've put most of that energy into the guitar. And I'm enjoying it; I'm finding something in a musical instrument I could never find before. Not when I tried piano, flute, or the violin (I think there's a few more in there, but I can't remember right now ^_~). Granted, I can't play anything truly well, and just learnt how to read open-string chords without tablature (as in, actual notes! *gasp* And before you ask, no it's not like the other instruments, but at least you know what the scales are), but, it's a start. ^_^

So, this is my last week of vacation before heading back to school. I don't know what I want to do, either, and so have surrounded myself with projects that I know I'll only half-finish. It's kind of funny, seeing the painting I'm trying to finish, the journal I'm trying to cloth and embroider, the HTML I'm trying to code, and teaching myself C programming. Maybe I'm just trying to feel like I'm not wasting the time I have, so when I go back to the mindless work and stress of school, I can at least think, I didn't waste the time I had to myself. I feel oddly disconnected from everything and everyone, and I wonder if I'm mentally preparing myself for something; for battle, in fact. Now, if only I knew why.

Looked out the window today and wondered if I brought the bad weather....
Because it's good weather to me?....
Because I want to feel the kiss of rain?....
Because I feel free in the heart of the storm?....
I wonder if the heavens can hear my soul shouting in the inside.

Only one more day till vacation time! Yay! *bounces* I need something new in my schedule. A chance for adventure. I think, deep down, a part of me is a thrill seeker. The love for amusement park rides (the scarier, the better) must be a part of that. ^_~ And the wish to travel, too.
