Welcome to my web site!

Turnersworld.com is going to have a major facelift since the original author is no longer part of THIS Turner's world.

Come back soon to see what I've decided to do with this space.

WGI Mid-America Regional Director

I've been nominated to run for the Mid-America Regional Director for Winter Guard International.  I'm very honored by the expression of trust that the people that know me here in Texas have given to me with this nomination.  I'd like to do anything I can to help support the color guards in this region.  I'd love to hear from anyone involved with color guards in this area to let me know what their concerns are.  Please email me at  steve@turnersworld.com.  I'd love to hear from you.

Update:  Congratulations to Kendra Sparks, our Regional Director once again.  I am sure she's going to continue to do a great job for the guards in our region.  It's a very tough region to handle, the biggest geographically, and it's got four regionals as well! What a job!

Recent News

I still haven't really decided what to do with this site, or even if I'm going to keep this domain, but I figured for the time being I could put little personal updates on here.  If you're a friend and you have any suggestions, please drop me an email and let me know what you think I should do.

First, it looks like my divorce will be going through on March 16th.  I don't have final confirmation that this is the date of the hearing but that should be it.  Update:  The divorce was final, and I'm single once again.

Color Guard season has started and I've been judging almost every weekend.  It looks like I'll be judging exclusively in Texas again this year.

I'm still totally single.  It looks like I'm destined to always be the good friend, big brother type.  ARGH!

I've now worked for my company, e-talk Corporation, for 10 years (as of February 18th).  Happy Anniversary to me!

I got to spend some time in Halifax with family.  I haven't been there since the day after my father's funeral so it was really good to see Lorraine and the Benjamins.  I wish the trip had been longer.

Some sad family news.  My dear Aunt Margie passed away on February 15th.  She leaves her husband Cliff, and many, many people who love her.  Margie, we will miss you so much.  You meant so much to all of your nieces and nephews.
