I think blogging is for those with perpetually free schedules, or people who avoid work. Or simply those on computers alot. Since I am currently in the process of being all of those, I think I will blogg my day. Just got up an hour ago. Have watched tv and eaten last peice of pizza. Haven't showered,made bed, cleaned, etc. It is grey outside and rainy. (1:59:46 PM)
My friends husband (that has an interesting sound to it...making me feel rather mixed about my own age developement) decided that I may have dissappeared when he visited my not so frequently updated site. I have not dissappeared. . .quite. I have been very busy finishing out my last semester at risd. Last. something new there. After some rather cheerful posts and such I hit they point of misery sometime around spring break when it dawned on me there was no reason to even pretend I was enjoying the field of architecture. So I ahve turned things upside down. I am currently persueing a job in web design (go figure ;) ) while looking into grad schools for a year from now in graphics/computer/digital imaging. What the future holds I have no clue. But I have not dissappeared. Atleast, not for long. I should be much more prevalent now.
And of course, expect a redesign...eventually. I am in that first few days of vacation where I haven't become bored yet with moving my furniture, watching television, and reading books. in fact i just got done with a four hour marathon of book reading. Lovely lovely. I am awake at three in the morning because I was reading a random book. Life seems all together different and marvelous! (3:02:14 AM)

WOW! I won a great award the other day from the Westfield Web Awards. I was runner up in their Site of the Year contest. I was really excited to find out that the first place site was a professional commercial site. It's great to be honored next to the big boys. In other news I recently taught an HTML workshop at RISD. You can view the companion site for this workshop at: http://www.AlexisParker.com/HTMLwkshp. I am still working on getting the site completed. Currently the beginner's section is complete and I should hvae the intermediate section up soon. I am also working on a web site for a DJ, as well as an online companion site for a Yoga Book my sister has been writing for her Yoga class. I am hoping to redesign this personal site soon to hold my architecture, fine arts, and writing portfolio, along with a resume. I start my second semester at RISD this coming thursday, and have alot on my plate. I am also helping out in organizing a new club at RISD for community service, a web site will be coming for that soon. Boy am I busy!!!!
Valentine's day was wonderful. A big hug to my wonderful boyfriend who has stuck it through the easy and the hard times for over a year as we adjust to not being near each other! I had a break between winter and spring semester, and I got to spend the last week with my boyfriend. :) Great fun! hope everyone else is doing well and forgives me for taking forever to return emails and phone calls!
