I'm sorry, but this is no excuse. It took days to count Oregon's vote, and the blame is being place on vote-by-mail. The complaint is that most people turned their ballots in on Monday or Tuesday, so it took longer to count everything. News flash: in the rest of the country, EVERYONE turned their vote in on Tuesday, and a count was done in a timely fashion. With a few obvious exceptions. So figure it out, folks, and don't blame voters for doing their job.

How's this for a new twist on panhandling: today on my way to the MAX stop I passed the Yamhill Pub. In front of the pub was a dog wearing sunglasses. He had a cup in his mouth. No doubt the owner came out every once in a while to see if he had money for another drink.

What gratifies me about this story is the last line: "....the girls' mother was arrested for allowing it." That's right ladies, you are responsible for what you allow your boyfriend or new husband to do to your children.
IMO, parents that value getting laid before taking care of their children don't need to see those children again. Ever.
