Speller is...
May 1, 2001 Someone is using Speller's RPC interface in a web application. Sjoerd Visscher has built a very nice browser-based interface to Speller. Go check it out, it's much nicer than the demo I built.August 3, 2000 Well, at long last, I've implemented Speller RPC. This marks Version 0.8.0 for those of you keeping track. You should be able to access it with any compliant XML-RPC client. Read the specs for more info and an example. I'd appreciate feedback, but know that this is an alpha release and things are subject to change.May 15, 2000 Finally, after a month-long haitus, I've updated the RPC Interface RFC. Just a couple of minor changes, but I believe I am now ready to implement!April 16, 2000 I've finally written up an RFC for the Speller RPC Interface. If you're interested in integrating Speller with your application through the magic of XML-RPC, you'll want to check this out! I'm hoping for comments, and I plan to have a working prototype available by the end of the week.April 10, 2000 Verison 0.7.5 fixes a minor potential problem I discovered with multiline text. All fixed now.April 4, 2000 Just released: Version 0.7.3 of Speller now properly handles misspellings that occur when a space is left out. Misspelled words with apostrophes and other non-alphanumeric characters should now be handled properly as well.April 3, 2000 Version 0.7.2 has been released. Speller now is able to sort suggestion results alphabetically, and it does so in the demos. Also, results are now generated from remote templates that can be anywhere on the web, so the display of results is completely customizable. All of these customization features will be documented when version 0.8 is released.March 31, 2000 Just Added: The new Version History page will track the changes in each new version of Speller.March 30, 2000 I've updated the site somewhat. News, features, and updates will be announced on this main page and all the details about Speller can be found on the new Frequently Asked Questions page. If you haven't tried Speller yet, go to the Speller Demo page and if you have a Blogger account, you can try out Speller's integration potential with the Blogger Demo. Thanks for visiting!
