Database Nation by Simson Garfinkel
Another in the technology is making the world come to an end series. And still a must-read. |

The Electronic Day Trader
by Marc Friedfertig
About 20 years ago I read a book (the title and author are lost, but this was written about 50 years ago) about craps. There were two memorable items: (1) The appendix was full of lists of actual dice rolls, thousands of them. (2) The quote: "Pay no attention to so-called hot or cold runs of the dice, except to take advantage of each." |

The Cluetrain Manifesto
by Christopher Locke, Rick Levine, Doc Searls, David Weinberger
Better as a website than as a book, this is still a must read. (Of course, you'll get the message after the first couple repetitions, but still a must read.) OTOH, while I think Weinberger brilliant, I must confess to never quite getting the hang of JOHO.) |

The End of Patience by David Shenk.
If you think your T1 connection isn't fast enough, this book is the perfect antidote. |
