The End of Free is too too too cool. And I'm sure that everyone except me reads it every day. I'm sure. So sure. I'd bet my last pint of blood on it. It seems, and I may be wrong, that EOF is a chronicle of the costification of previously free stuff. Hmmm... when is blogger going to joing the ranks? Since EV seems to contribute, perhaps never? Coolistolicious!
Microtek Technical Support - ScanMaker C3U really sucks! I need a scanner of my own. Hours wasted. Fuck. modaya:: 9/16/2001
Hil's pointless blog of random stuff notes The master's tools will never dismantle the master's house.--Audre Lorde, and has a better commentary on why people hate us. Please read it. She writes so well.
My mistaken friendDanny who I included as my LiveJournal friend thinking I was including shortgoth, had this quote for which I thank him, and had something to say of my own at the end... "The ACLU's got to take a lot of blame for this. And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God or successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen'." - Jerry Falwell Sarah says... Perhaps having a modicum of respect, as Jerry Falwell does not, and as we Mercians do not as a whole, for the world outside of our own (or your own, since I moved), or even love, but definitely understanding of the bloody world around us, and the damage we have caused, and still cause in the name of our own values and imagined needs. Jerry baby just reminds us who we are at our worst, just when we're acting our best; reminding us of our usual narrow sighted ways, our hatred of others, and our self-consumed attitudes that has pissed off so much of the rest of the fucking world that people are lining up to die just to send us a wake up call. The terror isn't /bin/laden, he's just the messenger that we're now off to shoot. I've seen the horror, in the eyes of the world, and it is us. Just as Conrad's Heart of Darkness was not to be found in the arms of the black goddess of the jungle, but in the pale white brow of his 'intended' in Belgium, so is the horror not in Afghanistan, but in ourselves how have, in the pursuit of our own aims, created such hatred directed towards ourselves in others. I still think we should go and blow /bin/laden senseless. It is our duty to those few of us who are innocent. But when he's gone, there will only be us, and the horror will still remain. modaya:: 9/15/2001

Snorland is the insanely cool script I'm using for comments. I was going to try and install some perl scripts on my computer and make ti work that way, but I tried this first. Amazing. So easy. So useful. So... livejournal kiss my butt! Blogger with comments is enough for me. I can type the rest.
The Mirror Project | Derek M. Powazek | Product Placement is coooler than anything.
I'm sorry. I have nothing to say. modaya:: 9/13/2001
Noor is ONLINE. I can't believe it. And as usual with her, I can't understand some of it. I think the site is called "Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita mi ritrovai per una selva oscura, che la diritta via era smarrita..." and I think it means: "In means of the cammin of our life I found again myself for a dark forest, than the straight one via it was smarrita... " With Noor, I'm forever purplexed, but I'm forever wondering what she'll do or say next. And I wish I could write like she does. Free, easy, descrptive. Maybe it is because she's so reserved in real life, and I'm such a ditz. Anywa, Noor's here, and I'm that much less alone online. I've got nothing I can say about what has happened. I'm stuck in a loop of listening and watching and reading. I'm worried, and I'm feeling free, at the same time. Many won't. So many. So fast. So gone. So strange. modaya:: 9/12/2001
Sarah Smiles now has her own LiveJournal. I want comments, and I can't do it in Blogger. I'll test. And if it is cool, it will replace blogger. Sigh. So much shit. So little time. |
