Tuesday, September 04, 2001 2:51 PM - Various Yea I haven't updated in a while, oops. This site is gonna be gone soon anyway and gonna turn into a strictly music-related blog. I just don't have much else to write about. Perhaps I'll have some movie stuff too. I dunno. But the rest (including pics) is gonna go. By the way, the Dismemberment Plan show on friday fucking ruled. Easily the best show I've ever seen. Hilarious and thoroughly entertaining. Monday, September 03, 2001 11:37 PM - Yea So I haven't done anything with the site lately. I will probably try to work on it at work a bit when I have some spare time or during my lunch break. So what have I been up to lately? Playing ridiculous amounts of video games mostly since I bought a PS2 last week. Gran Turismo 3, Tekken Tag and Final Fantasy Tactics for now. Once I'm done FF Tactics I'll probably pick up Chronocross since it's a bargain bin game now. Then Tony Hawk 3 at the end of October, Dragon Warrior 7 and Metal Gear Solid 2 in November, Grandia 2 in December and in January FF10 (drool). Also means I can watch DVDs now so I watched Blade Runner and Dr. Strangelove this weekend. Lost 10 bucks at the casino on saturday. Uh...not much else going on. I'd add some extra concerts to the list but I'm probably not going to all those concerts anyway :). Yea, so I'll work on the new site tomorrow I think. Oh yea...the rennard.net domain will probably die sometime soon and I'm not paying 30 bucks to renew it (no point really, only got it cuz it was free). My professor for the class I thought I failed email'd me saying I got an "85+ out of 100"...whatever that means (not to mention that it seems impossible unless radical bell curving was applied). I will absolutely see at least 1 Dismemberment Plan show, probably 2 (I'll drive up to Ottawa for the weekend to see them again). Godspeed You Black Emperor! is another must see. The icelanders (Sigur Ros and Bjork) are pricey, probably only see one of the two. Modest Mouse, being on a Monday-Tuesday, is likely impossible to attend due to work :(. Should be able to swing Built to Spill though. Woo! I am just so stoked after seeing the Plan tour dates. Tuesday, August 14, 2001 4:31 PM - Phew Well I found a job downtown Toronto doing database analyst / visual basic stuff. Pretty good I guess for a last minute search. That takes a load off my shoulders. Now I can really unpack and relax for 2 weeks. Yum. Monday, August 13, 2001 12:33 AM - All Done! So I'm all done school now. Last exam went well...so only one I have to worry about I guess. Moved back home for now until I can find a job. Hopefully I can stay here cause paying rent wouldn't be very profitable. I got sooooo loaded on friday night and went to see Apocalypse Now Redux (amazing) at the Famous Player's IMax yesterday. I'm gonna format my computer now so it is squeaky clean. I'm bored. Transitioning from having lots of studying to do to having absolutely nothing to do is tough :P. I'll be regretting that once work starts though. Tuesday, August 07, 2001 12:41 AM - Blah Exam on friday was rough...hopefully I passed. Exam tomorrow in Programming Languages & Compilers. I gotta sleep. Thursday, August 02, 2001 1:18 PM - More studying My assembler/computers class exam is tomorrow so I'm tackling that topic today. Wednesday, August 01, 2001 4:36 PM - i am not a happy bumblebee Exam went about as good as I expected: 50-75% or so. So I passed the class. Huzzah. On the flipside, my co-op job for the fall got cancelled so now I'm stuck having to find a job in the next 4 weeks. Fuck. Tuesday, July 31, 2001 9:20 PM - IIIIIIIII WAaaaaaaaaaantt yoOuuur SSSoouuuLL ... come to daddy ... come to daddy ... Yesterday's exam went reasonably well...probably like 70-80%. Could have done better if I hadn't learnt the entire class in two days. Spit. It is pathetic how little we learn in 4 months. Tomorrow's final is looking grim; I need 35% to pass so hopefully I can get that. Electromagnetics suck. I've never taken a class where the material contradicts itself so much. Been downloading lotsa albums: Aphex Twin, Air, Guided by Voices, Mogwai, Tortoise, Trans Am and Sleater-Kinney. Oh well, time to memorize many many derivations for the final tomorrow. Spit. |
