I'm easily amused. Are you? Play with Jesus Dress Up!

Here's some information about upgrading to Windows 2000/NT. I have to say that 2000 (professional version) has not crashed ONCE since I've installed it. I was rebooting W98 all the time. Same hardware, same software.... but it all seems to run much better on W2K. Amazing, I know.

I'll have to tell you all about it after I get some sleep but I just had the best time at the football game tonight! WE KICKED SOME MATER DEI ASS! It was way cool. The players were so happy... they were crying. It was great. I should have bet Raj that $20 after all. Really, just a wonderful game. Tons of fun.

Don't even ASK me why I had this site bookmarked at work or how I even found it. Really. It's a mystery. I'm sort of horrified and amused by some of these.

Wouldn't you know it!? I finally decide that I better go get some new reading glasses and use the money I've sheltered from taxes all year and the Old Focals site is down! I guess I'll have to go out to their store soon and see what they have.

You see last year... I didn't use the money and I lost it. Grrrr.

I went back and read an entry or two at sugar & preserve. It made me kind of sad. I really miss reading Kim.

For some reason, I want to go to Club De Ville and hang out for an evening. It looks comfortable and cozy and just sort of fun. I've never been to Austin before. Perhaps I should make a point to go.

IRC moment:

*seqsy writes "Antonio is my Hero!" on her monitor screen w/white board marker.
*seqsy likes to write notes on her monitor.
*autumn grins.

Yep. I'm a hugeass ol dork.

So I'm trying to organize my life and I think California Closets may be able to help.

Ohhh and I think I need some hangers too. Yeah... cherry hangers... those would be pretty.

Dammit... I keep forgetting things. I received a summons for jury duty a few days and haven't yet returned the form.

I was also supposed to deliver a CD to my brother's girlfriend's stepfather but I can't seem to find it. I remember having it at work. But after that, the rest is a blur.

So I just signed up for NetFlix.com.

For $20 a month, you can rent as many DVDs as you want (3 at a time). The shipping is free and as soon as the three are returned, they send you the next three available movies you've chosen.

Rosalyn here at work sent me over there to check it out. So far, she's said that it works out great for her. And there's no time limit or late charges so you can watch them whenever you feel like it.

So they had the very same discussion in the background on THE $TREET tonight.

My boss called me this evening. Her cat is being put down tomorrow. This means I need to go into the office early to let the temps in. It's a pain in the ass, but I'll leave early tomorrow to make up for it.

Ha! See! I'm not the only one who is possessed by Martha!!! Maybe it's the change of weather or the upcoming holidays.

By the way, my parmesean cheese popovers were WAY yummy. I ate more than I should have.

ARGH!

I'm going to kill my Bellevue office!!! They want books TOMORROW for a class that's starting on Monday.

Here was the message I sent out to a discussion group:

Since I'm not CURRENTLY storing these books in my left ear or other unfortunate orrifice, could someone please help out Laura here? Please let me know 'yes' or 'no' and 'how many' if possible."

It's not exactly a formal mailing list. I'm sure you figured that out on your own. I swear though.

I tell these people. TWO WEEKS. TWO WEEKS. That's not the same thing as 1:30 the DAY BEFORE.

Growl.

Here's pretty much a direct quote from the phone call I just received.

Me: Hello?

Raphael: Can you believe I still haven't called...

Me: You STILL haven't called the cable company!?!?!?

Raphael: (rushed) Oh fuck! What time is it? I have a meeting. Bye. Click.

Okie dokie... anyway... back to work.

Since I'm in a food mood, maybe some tea would go along nicely with my popovers and cookies. In fact, I am dying for one of these gift baskets. Maybe I can weasel one out of mom for xmas.

Actually, I once had a nice little electric kettle which was borrowed and never returned. Perhaps I'll get another one and bring it to work. I don't really drink much coffee any more.

Can you believe I'm still looking at marthastewart.com? These are the cookies that lured me to the site in the first place. When I was home on Friday afternoon, I saw her make these and I wanted them!!!

Actually, parmesean cheese popovers sound really good. I think it's getting a little too close to lunch time and I'm hungry.

Somehow, I feel compelled to bake Martha Stewart's Cookies. I don't know why. Perhaps it's the impending holiday season.

I have some Angel Food cologne on my desk from Demeter Fragrances. You should check out their list of scents. They have some weirdass stuff on there.

If nate doesn't update soon, I'm going to be forced to send him nasty email until he does. Really, it's not fair to post two parts of a trilogy and then give up.

Russ mentioned something about the Blazers being slated to win this year. I told him we'd have to watch the game to see how everything matched up. Yep. My Lakers are still on top.

There's really nothing I can say about this. I am at a loss.
