A bat flew into the warehouse today.

We were just working away packing boxes and filling orders when this black bat just swooped in and started flying around the warehouse. It kept dive-bombing us but wouldn't leave. It freaked out some of the girls but a couple of us loved it. Finally this guy who doesn't speak English very well hit it with a box and basically crushed the little thing. We got it outside but it was breathing hard and started convulsing for a while until it died. I guess it was just trying to get out of the heat, frankly I can't blaim it. 43 degrees today with the humidity. Damn it was hot in there.

I'm trying to buy a computer for university. I found some good prices over @ Dell and MDG, but I don't know how I'm going to afford it right now. If I try to go on the payment plans, it'll cost me an assload. Anyways, here are some cool links to help you beat the heat. {...ok, I know that was a pretty sad pun...}

Oh, one more thing before the links, George Lucas finally named Episode II. I don't know what's going through his head, but check out the title. STAR WARS EPISODE 2: ATTACK OF THE CLONES. Sounds like an old Atari game. Whatever.

Ok, now this is just wild!!!

I was wondering how long it would take for this thing to come back into the news.

Mariah went nuts about a week and a half ago, now they're postponing her so-called movie.

Got some extra $$?

I don't know - this just seems wrong somehow.

My pay was deposited in my account @ 12 Thursday morning. It's Friday night just after midnight and I'm broke. Well maybe not broke, but I took my first pay cheque and headed to the mall after work today. I went on a spending spree, bought some new cologne, a crapload of DVDs, and a couple old VHS movies I was looking for. I still want to buy a couple CDs, but I think I should let the Interac card cool down.

I stopped into a bookstore cause The Ice Limit is now in paperback, it's by the guys who wrote The Relic and RipTide and other fine books. Imagine my horror when I saw that the price was $10.99 Cdn! I've said it before and I'll say it again: the reason people don't read anymore is due to the outrageous prices. People are always complaining that us "teens" never read enough books, well maybe that's because it costs a friggin arm and a leg to buy one. Personally, I'm a frequent library user but it usually takes them a while to get the newest books and then you have to wait forever just to get it out. And they don't always get what you want. Damn.

Anyway, while waiting for the bus on the way home, I dropped down $1.25 for a bottle of Aquafina water. Worst water ever! The website says: "Since its debut in 1995, Aquafina has won over consumers with its great taste and purity. Aquafina is currently America's #1 selling bottled water brand in measured retail channels." BULLSHIT! It was horrible. I think I'll stick with Dasani, you know, the one made by Coke. Aquafina was bottled by Pepsi Corp, and another recent instance of Pepsi's shortcomings is this new Pepsi Twist thing they're pushing. It's regular Pepsi with a lemon twist. I was not impressed. And while we're on the subject of bottled drinks, check out this foreign website selling HIV in a can.

And now for something completely different:
Statue envy?
Our school prom was in the paper.
Plus for MSN Messenger.

That's all for today folks, enjoy the weather while it lasts.

Toronto lost the Olympics. IOC Bastards.

I know I haven't been updating the site a lot recently. I'm working full time now, every day from 8-5. It's ok I guess, but I'm slowly realizing that I haven't had a summer vacation yet. Because work only pays once every 2 weeks, I won't get my first pay cheque till the 19th. That's bad cause I keep seeing things that I'd like to buy, and I think You know, pretty soon I'll have some $$$. I should be keeping the money to buy a new system when school starts.

Went to the BNL concert on Thursday @ the Molson Amphitheatre. It was amazing, great songs and lots of fun. Steve was so funny, made a remark about boiling in a pot of Molson's, referring to Mel Lastman's Olympic cannibalism comments. What an idiot. Anyway, I bought a T-Shirt, pretty expensive but I wanted to buy something. The trouble with life is there's no background music.

Well, someone got a hold of the script for STAR TREK: NEMESIS and wrote a quick review of it. Read it @ a friend's recently renovated sci-fi news site. It doesn't give away everything, only a good intro to what the story is about and who the villains are and the basic plot. Check it out, possible spoiler warning!!

Speaking of movies, I got the Dogma Special Edition DVD when I was in London recently. Future Shop had it for $34.99 but it was on sale for $29.99. I loved the movie and have been waiting a long time for this. Sweet ass DVD, tons of deleted scenes and the commentary is funny as shit.

I should go now. I don't really have plans for this weekend, which is good cause @ 3 this morning my aunt had an emergency operation to remove her appendix so I need to go watch their kid for a while. Hopefully I'll update the site more in the near future.

*cough*

I'm not feeling well at all lately. These past few days have been hell, I've been coughing and sneezing and my throat is killing me. I've gone thru 2 boxes of tissues since my last update. I had to skip my first day of work today cause I could hardly stand up. I spent the day in bed and although my headache is fading I'm still not feeling up to par.

Anyway, what's with all these celebrity deaths recently? They're dropping like flies! It started with comedic great Carroll O'Connor a couple weeks ago, then Jack Lemmon, John Lee Hooker, Joe Henderson, Chet Atkins, and now Canadian author Mordecai Richler. I don't know what's going on in Hollywood, but maybe it's some conspiracy to get rid of all the elderly stars to make room for the younger hacks.

*sniff...hack...sneeze*

Well, I need some more tissues. Here's hoping I don't drop dead like so many others these days. Time to Shut Down The Internet.

Hey there. I'm currently sitting in a hotel room in the city of London, Ontario. They've got this LODGENET webTV crap, I really don't like it but I'm testing it out. Anyway, we drove down here yesterday morning for my UWO summer orientation. Had to select my courses fo the fall: Mass Media, Film Studies, Comp Sci, Psych, Philosophy, Info Retrieval, English...I think that's it, I can't remember. Damn, I just ate ths breakfast skillet at Smitty's restaurant and I'm not feeling so good. I'm gonna go rest for a bit.
